If you have not yet listened to "Eye of Melian," you certainly need to. It's a band with Johanna singing fantasy songs based on Tolkien and others. It proves your statement in spades.
"Her voice is like the wind." There you have it. It moves in you, and around you. That is what Auri does and what it was meant to do. I am so glad you did this song. And, I am so glad that you were able to feel this depth of emotion about it.

This is possibly one of the songs that Johanna wrote for the album and it really is a beautiful one. If it is one of Johanna's songs the lyrics might get a new meaning. Before Auri was formed she used to be a very well known Finnish pop singer. Her career lasted for 10 years, she was very successful and the songs were beautiful. However, she never really took part in the songwriting for her own material. She saw herself only as a singer, not a songwriter. But then she decided to put her solo career on hold and a couple of years later the first Auri album was released. After that album was made she realized that she wanted to write songs and so her first songs were released on her other project's debut album, Altamullan Road. The second Auri album also includes a few songs written by her like the title track Those We Don't Speak Of (which is incredible btw) and very possibly this one. That could mean that this song is about her finding her voice not only as a singer but also as a songwriter and how much that means to her. Anyway, if you'd like to hear more of her songs I'd recommend When It's Time or They Should've Sent a Poet from the Altamullan Road album. I find her story truly inspiring.
Not just Tuomas' composing, but Johanna and Troy bring a gentle life to their songs that certainly pluck our heart strings!

Trying to even find words to describe what i feel is difficult. There is much of the lyrics I felt, deep down. The music, her voice and later their voices.. i can't come up with words to adequately describe, beautiful doesn't do justice. And I've watched twice now, I'm at a loss!? I had no idea what was going to happen when I set down to record a video 4 months ago. "Fun little journey I thought." So much has happened in these last 4 months. I'm grateful for all of it.
I was just sharing this with my sister. For me, this song exposed some wounds, some feelings, but at the same time was so healing. I felt tears, but they weren't tears of sadness, more like a release. As humans, put up so many shields and barriers. Thank you for showing us it's okay to lower them. XX

I didn't expect to find anything this pure and emotionally evocative on your channel. My friend Cosmic, I had a kleenex drying tears of joy and inspiration 1/2 way through the song. Auri are a band that will never be subject to the whims of trends in music, they have that certain something that places them alone in a class of One, I will listen to this band until I leave this world, Auri do not write songs, they write feelings and emotions in a way no others can, Troy, Johanna and Tuomas are more than their parts in so many ways. There are only a handful of bands in that illustrious group, none fit into a category or label, they are beyond special and untouchable. big love brother

This was not for me but i can appreciate the fact that it had such a emotional affect on you. I can't say it enough times but I simply love the fact the a piece of art can move us so much. I've listened to this song many times, lamenting that it only has 60K views on RUclips. I've rarely seen it recommended even when other Auri songs are mentioned, so I've thought that perhaps there aren't that many people who appreciate the beauty of of this song. I think I roughly know how you feel. For methe song that evokes this the most is Pearl Diving. The theme and the words and the music are touching something deep in my soul that I didn't even know was there.

You ask how they do it … you’re talking about three empathic musical geniuses. Nightwish has six, and Tuomas can express another side of himself. In AURI, all three compose together, and it’s a completely different side of the expression of genius. In both bands, Tuomas surrounds himself with exceptional human beings. He has two unique voices for which to write and his ability to write specifically to those voices is on a completely unseen level. Of course it touches our heart, that’s what he does. Johanna and Troy are also empathic hearts who compliment his. Just ride the wave, my friend. We are there with you, just look to either side. You are not alone.

You should give it a listen, it's a really good song. And since it's from their game soundtrack, there's no worry of copyright either as they are meant to be fine for streamers to have on.
