Yeah, that was for us also a very fascinating bit, how he for Auri even more lets himself be a conduit for the music that wants or needs to come out and sometimes doesn't even remember he made that. Like they said more than once: it's something magical!
There seems a lot of wisdom coming from Tuomas, and both of them really seem to think about what they want to say and bring across. I could have talked with them for ages! And yes! Auri live is going to be something special once they get there!

Their music is something magical, both Nightwish and Auri, so beautiful , First finding Nightwish (with Floor) maybe 20 months ago made me listening to music again. Then finding Auri, so nice. First thing waking up is coffee and listening to Nightwish or Auri. Even this interview is magic to watch and listen to. Such nice people! Thanks, bye

Great interview. I appreciate that you let them answer the questions fully, not trying to cut them off for the “sound bite”. It’s a bummer that Troy couldn’t be there, but one day soon hopefully they can all be together.
Thank you, I appreciate you saying that! It's a pet peeve of me too when I see/hear interviewers talk more than the interviewees or even interrupt to put words in their mouths. We try to approach every interview as if we're just having a chat with someone and not an interrogation. We prepare some notes, of course have some questions to steer things a little bit, but mostly let the conversation go where it needs to go. There were questions we didn't ask, just because the conversation about their music and how they perceive and experience everything surrounding it was so fascinating and interesting. It would be nice to have Troy there as well a next time, for sure!
A very insightful interview with Tuomas and Johanna. I love how it gives us another look inside that brilliant mind. I did pause the interview and take a look at a couple of videos from the first album and I found it to be very relaxing.

Like we get to choose the actual place to do an interview... it doesn't really work like that most of the time. We receive an offer with "hey, do you want to interview this person on this day?" and when we confirm, usually they say "ok, be at this place at this time". This was actually one of the nicer places we've been at in recent years considering background noise, looking at the bars and windy outside locations of some of our other interviews.

It really was super relaxing! We exchanged a couple of words still after we stopped the recording and they truly are absolutely lovely people.

Johanna is such an elegant lady. She’s beautiful and although she’s obviously Finnish you would never guess English isn’t her native language.
