Yes and no. The Mirage 2000 received a recent modernized version recently, which makes it able to face future threats and modern aircrafts. French Air and Space Forces, already planned to modernize 70 Mirage 2000 for this reason.

In comparison, mirage 2000 are suffering for major upgrades and updates if compared to the f16. The newly upgraded and updated Mirage 2000 RMV, is made to solve many of these issues. If you are considering most airforces operating f16, didn't in fact updated or upgraded them, many many f16 are still obsoletes versions.
