- In this video, I talk about who I think would be cast if Survivor: Micronesia was made into an All-Star season instead of Fans vs. Favorites, which was the initial plan during the casting process.

I'm so glad you brought up Michelle Yi, people always overlook her and I thought she was such a ray of light that season and if she didn't get screwed over by the twist would have made it far. really sad she never got to play again...
caramoan was a weird casting because the favorites were not even favorites.

I remember in pre-game interviews, Erik thought the season theme was Fans vs Failures based on the cast. I always thought this would have been a much more fitting title.
And the fans weren’t even fans. Almost all were recruits
I know right? Everyone hates Philip, a lot of people hate Corrine, a lot of people disliked everyone from South Pacific, and no one was begging for Fransesqua back. The only people that were actually liked were Malcolm, Andrea, and maybe Brenda (as a likable villain).
Literally just Malcolm and Erik deserved to be there and that was it lmao. I could also maybe see an argument for Cochran and Andrea but even then, it's hard to call them "favorites"
Courtney could be on every season and I would still love her
It still kills me that we'll probably, most likely, never see Todd from China to come back considering how publicized his after win alcoholism has been.. he is one of my all time favourite winners.

Thank god they made it Fans vs Favourites instead of All stars 2 because then we would’ve had to wait at least until Survivor: Gabon until we saw the factual best player of all time being Chet

Guatemala is one of my personal favorite seasons to watch
Guatemala and Fiji are definitely the most underrated seasons. Some people say Vanuatu but I personally find that season very boring until Chris’s comeback and had two very boring majority alliances on each tribe
would have been interesting if this had been an all stars 2 season heres what i know about the casting
-i think mike skupin was considered
-richard hatch had to decline because he was under house arrest & had to apply to leave the country & it was denied same with heroes vs villains & redemption island
- sandra was cut at the last minute
-twila probably was considered i know she was cut late into casting for heroes vs villains
-tom westman declined because he figured the image he created in palau would be tarnished
-i think katie gallagher was cut
-ian probably declined
-coby was cut
-coby claims that janu was considered
-lydia morales was cut
-i saw that terry dietz was initially cast but was cut 2 days before leaving & replaced by james clement most likely i dont think they knew how big of character james would be he was almost compared to rupert
-shane powers was at least considered possibly cut
-yul kwon was probably at least considered
-candice declined due to starting med school & was replaced by parvarti
-edgardo rivera of fiji declined
-earl cole was at least considered
-peigh gee was cut & replaced by amanda kimmel at the last minute
-courtney yates declined
Great video. I have some interesting ideas for future videos. You could make casts for:
1. BvBvB All Stars(same concept except with previous players)
2. One player from each season
3. Millennials vs Gen X All Stars(same concept but with previous players)
4. Season vs Season(cast 2 tribes with the best people from each season. Ex. China vs Tocantins)
5. If Caramoan were an All Star season. 20 people who played from Samoa-Philippines.
6. Rivals(Ex. Tyson vs Sierra, Courtney vs Jean Robert, etc.)
7. 1st Boots(Ex. Zane, So, Darnell, etc.)
8. Dark Horses(people that had potential but didn’t get to show it all, Ex. Ali, John Cody, Brian C., etc.)
9. Blood vs Water 3(cast 10 returning players and a family member of theirs that we know from a Family Visit episode)
10. A season using the og concept of season 30.
11. If Survivor All Stars were a Fans vs Favorites season.
12. A season with 18 or 20 people who got out right before the final 2 or 3. Ex. Rob C. , Terry, Cirie, Devon, etc.
13. Big Brother Heroes vs Villains
14. Big Brother Rivals
16. Big Brother vs Survivor( vs The Challenge)
17. A Survivor season with a cast full of BB players.
18. A BB season with a cast full of Survivor players

What a lot of people don’t know is Shane Powers and Coach almost replaced Joe Anglim on Survivor: Edge of extinction. They were in the casting pool

Nicolas I heard it from another commenter on a video on YT about the edge of extinction cast but I also heard it in reddit
after cambodia shane powers will never come back again after what he did after that i really thought he was going to be on cambodia however anyway he called up probst drunk & verbally attacked him & said so many bad things publicly about him called him a ragged douchebag, an ego maniac & said that he dosent have the chops to do anything except host survivor he also said after the casting director lynne spillman got fired who he was pretty close to that he didnt even want to go through the casting process ever again

I think it would be interesting if CBS did a Season V Season V Season with 6 former 1 time players from each season on the same tribe. (Africa vs Borneo vs Amazon)
that idea is interesting, but I feel tribal lines and past relations would be too much overrunning the gameplay that it wouldn't make it very watchable

It seemed like Micronesia only had favorites who were one time players and didnt win. That's just something I noticed, idk if that's part of their criteria or anything

There were two potential cast lists on the table - a larger one and a smaller one. They were based on prior relationships. When the larger one fell through due to certain people being unavailable and other reasons they scrapped it and kept the smaller group to compete against fans. However, even the smaller group had people who declined (ie Candice and Courtney - who were each replaced by their counterparts Parvati and Amanda... funny how that turned out).

There was once an article that had a huge list of names considered for all stars 2. The list included Coby, Gary, Judd, Lydia, Katie, Ed gardo, Alex, and many others
i thought Tom declined Micro because he didn’t want to tarnish the Hero legacy he created in Palau
I would say all the ones that were cast, plus Cesternino, Sean Rector, Terry, Rafe, Todd, Vecepia, Michelle Yi, T-Bird, Shii Ann, Deena. Honorable mentions to Ian and Twila

Pretty decent picks. I would just replace Amanda with Courtney Yates, because I would much rather have someone with an actual personality. A doorknob has more of a personality than Amanda.

I think Jenny Guzon-Bae is the main female to bring back other than Parv and Candice in Cook Islands. That's mainly due to her potential, but the problem is Michelle Yi takes that spot as a "Screwed by a twist with potential". But personally, I'd rather have Nate and Michelle over Jenny and Cobi, and that's assuming Yul still declines in this fantasy world.
Becky is an interesting spot where I feel she'd make a Heroes vs Villains recast as a Hero, but again I'd put Michelle Yi over her.

Someone got panic attacked after they landed in Fiji and decided to quit and not continue the game. So the production need to do something and proceed on just having a 19 castaways.
That's why for the 3 days, the whole 19 castaways are together and building the shelter since the production is still working on a resolution.

Sandra may have gotten lucky that she wasn’t on All Stars. Probs wouldn’t have won All Stars since winners were all targeted early, and maybe then she wouldn’t have made it to HvV and become a 2 time winner and arguably best player in history
Although at that point they havent revealed who the winner of PI yet so for all they knew she's a runner up.
