I'm so excited for tonight's episode. We'll see if the Sababa Tribe wins their first Immunity Challenge or they go back to tribal council. Also, we'll see if the Majesta Tribe wins their second Immunity Challenge in a row or they will go to tribal council. From Episode 1 we know that since Tony's tribe didn't go to tribal council in Episode 1, he is immune from tribal council since Jess gave the Immunity Necklace to him to be immune at the first tribal council they go to if his tribe loses the Immunity Challenge. I hope we see more of Miranda and Michaela in this episode since we didn't see much of them in Episode 1.
"Doug's greatest strength is being average, bland, and normal"
The Eric and Doug rivalry is alive and well and I am living for it
Obsessed with Mike Madonna, meissner, katie, Tony, jacq, dylan and vinik
So sad, I waited years to see her return, but i know real life is larger.
-Spoilers for the biggest blindside of Gen 2 so far…..
-I’m speechless…I thought Winik was going to find that idol when the confessional began with him.
-I’m liking Anders’ pleasant, casual narration for the Previously On. Fish is swimming upstream after Sabrina was voted out of Sababa.
-I wrote this down before she had zero confessionals this episode but Morgan could really slip through the cracks-there are other returnees more strategically threatening like Doug and Dylan and others entering the game with more hoopla like Katie and Sherry.
-A somewhat erroneous Maryland tradition is that every E2 challenge except for All-Stars was kind of incomprehensible. This one was pretty good; I think the lack of narration and presence of a puzzle slowed down the regular chaos a blindfold challenge brings.
-I loved the scene of Eric explaining why he doesn’t like Doug: there’s almost a Frank Grimes thing going on where Eggroll is confounded how everyone loves this somewhat average dude while his own social game is a constant struggle. A good example last week was when they both did equally bad in the challenge but Doug was almost instantly forgiven.
-Two challenges in and we’ve seen blindfolds and people getting tied up in both. 50 Shades of Jay S.
-Conspiracy Theory: Anders had Katie pretend to know Tony so that the fans will be less mad about pre-established relationships. With both having strong episodes this week, Tony and Vinik seem ready to carry on the Fan Favorite torch from Katie and Sherry.
-When Sherry said “A not obvious combination would make a huge impact in the future” that phrase was written out in sub-titles. Jess and Jay S maybe?
-Sababa’s got two guys in Dylan and Doug who have founded the lion share of the idols that Anders has his so far.
-That Maquad alliance looks super scary, especially with Andrew on the other side. The Majesta returnees stick together! Could we see an all-returnee Final 8?
-For Majesta boots it’s between Samneric (Lord of the Flies reference). This episode was a funny example of the extra stress caused by looking into things too closely: I knew Messiner wasn’t going home; we’ve yet to see his fight with Katie from the trailer or him taking his clothes off from the title sequence. But the edit was also making a Sam boot seem too obvious and Maquad was acting pretty cocky before even attending a tribal. What could possibly happen?
-Haha Jay S was mega chatty during tribal; I wonder what the other Maquads thought about that after just making a Final Four with this dude. Maquad’s thunder got stolen by a shocking exit, but in a way this really benefits them. It allows them to hold onto their cards and it’s now 5 v 4 in Majesta and the minority doesn’t even know it.
-Wow, very unexpected quit from Sherry. Quits are rare in college Survivor and along with Thejas in Michigan Difference we’ve now seen two in less than a month. I definitely didn’t see this coming but it did feel like her head wasn’t in the game as much as it was in S4. She very likely would’ve made the merge as virtually no one had any ill will towards her. I think the best E1 of any college Survivor is Guts and Glory: the unique opening of camping in Austin’s house, Katie stealing Brian’s Pokémon games and of course the introduction of Sherry, this super kind, intelligent player, pulling off an impressive blindside.
-I’m checking out the comments from S4E3 from seven years ago, do you think any are still watching?
-Sherry didn’t realize it in 2017, but she may have just done some players on her season a tremendous solid: I’m guessing certain fans uh wouldn’t have had nice things to say about whoever voted her out. One of the most popular players in franchise history leaves without any hard feelings or online vitriol directed at anyone
-This is sort of like when Magic Johnson returned to the Lakers in 1996, it was good victory lap and just nice to see Sherry again. I’ll say this much, there’s NO WAY Katie is getting voted out next week; there’s no way Sherry and Katie are leaving back-to-back.
Dude I've been waiting years fir this season...
us too
Very good episode but a heart-breaking Sherry quit. I totally understand there are more important things though.
I really enjoy everyone on this cast , but Mike Madonna is by far my favorite
Mike's Yikyak shirt is back!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉
I am devastated at this result
**SPOILER**
Sherry's exit giving me a little bit of Jenna Morasca quitting all stars :( was excited to see her back, but im lowkey happy she saved (?) Meissner another episode. He is so funny and everyones just annoyed with him
meissner is my king. adore his chaos; hope he goes far. Sherry leaving is heartbreaking but it makes me for a very interesting game. Am hyped for the “freshers” and would love to see them pull the win
Oh that was devastating
Wow, that was something
Spoilers below:
Sucks to see Sherri go but people have stuff going on in life, so I get it when people have to quit. I think that was gonna be a Meisnner vote but I wonder what would have happened because Tony kept his immunity and didn't give it to Sam. I sort of want to see Sababa go to tribal again and see what happens because it might be setting up a big blindside of Doug (which would be a fun tribal) and the dynamics are less solidified like Majesta which has clear sides now. My winner pick that I picked episode one is Jacq, I think she is doing well. Win? Not sure but I hope she does if none of the returnees do.
Damn that tribal was a blindside on US
Sad seeing Sherry go but hopefully she's thriving where ever she is, This Ja-quad annalice or whatever theyre call i hope fails ;p
Idc what people say I’m rooting for Eric Meissner
I’m so sad 😢
MEISSNER RULES!!!!!!
The plan to vote him out made zero sense. The quad alliance was obsessed with taking out returnees. And so their big plan was to…. Take out meissner?? A new person who explicitly stated that he wants Katie and other retuneees out?? I’m not sure what’s dumber- voting out meissner over Mike/eggroll or Tony promising to give the necklace to Sam and then not doing it.
Sherry quitting is a devastating blow to the season. I understand there’s other life stuff going on… but why didnt she consider that before agreeing to go on the season? I’m sure there were other players who would have loved to play instead. And now her allies are in a much more precarious position. It’s heartbreaking to see sherrys legend status take such a big blow this season 😭😭
Decided episode 1 that Jess is my winner pick, so I’ll stick with that. I’m also rooting for Dylan, MEISSNER THE LEGEND, Faith, and Andrew (and sherry before, well, you know…)
hate quitters
For me, it depends on the circumstances. If it's a quit where someone has a lot going on in life and needs to step back from the game, or health reasons, then I totally get it
