This season was the worst I've seen. No one made big moves, the competitions were mostly recycled, next door neighbor could've been interesting if they actually did something with it, and the cast needs to be better in the future. Everyone just got too comfortable too fast. Those on the bottom didn't seem like they were interested in joining together even for a week. I'd bet that's why the triple eviction happened, and it should've happened sooner. Change the house layout. The slight changes were neat, but take this next year to tear it down and start from scratch. Maybe a 3 floor house or just move rooms around. Do all the bedrooms need to be in the same area of the house? The game needs new life, and unlike in Survivor, the BB cast doesn't seem interested in changing things themselves.
@@jackmcg0 sorry but Will > Dan imo. Imagine making F2 while being the biggest target, and 0 vetoes, not to mention his astonishing performance in All Stars. I think that Will played better than Dan because Will overall had better jury management versus Dan. Will wins in literally every scenario, Janelle, Mike, Erika, George, etc. While Dan only beats people like Danielle, Jenn, and Joe. Statistically, Will beats 9 people on the jury, whereas Dan beats 3 out of the 9 people. Competition wise Dan wins easily since Will threw every comp. However I’m not team Will all the way, Dan was really incredible on BB10.
@@legendarysingh2173 Will was never the biggest target, and no veto benefitted him tremendously. Will’s entire game was him not being a target. His allstar performance wasn’t “astonishing” because he made a truly terrible play by promising Erika and Janelle final 3, which any good player would know that if either of them got their back against the wall, they’d of course use that to get out of being evicted. Will would’ve beat anyone in jury, but his own terrible gameplay led to him not making the finals. Dan on the other hand had amazing jury management his first season which is why he won unanimously. In his second season the pact not to vote for a returnee means he loses against everyone, so he had no chance there at all.
@@uuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Nah, Nicole doesn't win against Cody. Nicole's gutless gameplay earned zero respect in the Jury. She might have gotten one or two votes, but Cody wins regardless. It was his manifest destiny.
I honestly think the only solution to the live finale problem is what Josh Martinez cracked in BB 19. In his goodbye messages, he told each juror about his strategy and what he was doing in the game and the hand he had in each eviction. It gave each juror the information they needed to have for finale night, gave them time to get over their bitterness before finale night, and time to campaign for him in the jury. In his final speech he didn't have to explain his gameplay from scratch in 30 seconds, but used that time to build on the foundations of it that the jury already knew. It's a new strategy and why I personally believe he deserved to win, because he cracked modern big brother. I think this is the key secret ingredient that modern player need to use to win.
Josh’s game is just like how he plays the challenge. Push it to the limit then cry. Honestly the way he conducted himself and how he went 100 on mark with the pots and pans and being Paul’s puppet
Why? He was gonna win either way. This season was boring bc the majority didn’t face adversity, but you can’t deny Cody and enzos dominance over the game
Cody cutting Nicole made zero difference, he was winning regardless and Nicole already won and is pretty well off financially so to give Enzo 50 k wasn’t really that big of a slap to Nicole
Jesus Christ sorry u got attacked by all these bums it’s a big move because Cody couldn’t make the same mistake again he had to take the easy choice to win.... Nicole def had a chance of beating Cody also it made great tv seeing Nicole get taken out
It really felt like almost watching Cody play a carbon copy of Derrick’s game, and I’m glad he took Enzo even tho he probably handedly beats both, Bc Enzo needed the money and Nicole for some reason seemed to feel entitled to the money.
@FrontYardWrestling99 if that had happened I would have been so mad because Cody played the best game that season. Cody deserved to win against anyone.
her reaction to not being taken to the final two really REALLY rubbed me the wrong way. she already won the whole thing before. i totally understand feeling lied to and shocked but no, you don't sit there and be bitter because he gave a father some money for his kids instead of you WHO ALREADY WON THE 500k!!!
@@baileylynn5562 this is true. But Nicole's game actually did have merits to it. The only people who really played well at all were Nicole, Cody and Memphis.
You should do a video on controversial house guest and live feed scandals! Like things we may not know about beloved houseguests if we didn’t watch the live feeds
Dick about Jen. All of the Friendship alliance. Ollie calling Memphis the F slur. Jeff calling Russell the F slur. Jeff's Dumbledore rant. All of Gr8teful. Memphis/Dani/Nicole comments on Ian.
That was probably intentional. Everyone’s first reaction to seeing those ducks is “I should count them for a comp”, I’m sure the producers did that in purpose so they could practically force the players to remember more stuff about the house.
BB22 was boring AF but I am grateful in a year of so many things being taken away that we took for granted we still had a season of big brother. I will take bad big brother over no big brother any day.
My first season was season 15. As for this season, I dropped out after the triple eviction. It felt extremely safe and boring. I totally agreed with the need for diversity whether it is race, age, body shape, homestate, etc.
My first season I watched was 15. Been watching ever since and became a super fan. I watched all the seasons and grew to love this show. I one day want to join it, but I think thin season was a meh.
Like he said, bb needs ways that expose intentions, and the order of pulling keys during the nomination ceremony often did just that. It usually gave the players in the dark a small hint of what was really going on in the house.
Big Brother will never be a bad show forever. The catalyst to a great season is a great cast. Even if the gameplay is bad or if the twists are ridiculous, we can at least be entertained by the cast.
That's why Big Brother needs to stop recruiting people from Instagram and Tinder and instead need to cast actual BB superfans who would do anything to win.
Everyone had such high hopes this season and it fell short within the first 3 weeks. I agree that more diverse casting is the best change they can make. Also the finale is always so rushed and I wish they did an after show kind of like how they do sometimes on Survivor. Loved this video so much! Totally subscribed.
More diversity would work. Despite being from the more ethnically diverse, BBUS10 benefitted from age diversity. Big Brother’s appeals, especially as a social experiment, is bringing together people from all walks of life. I think both fans and even production get caught up with archetypes than the actual Houseguest. It comes with the territory of how Big Brother works, and it isn’t always a bad thing thought; it is just easy to stuck in that. That said you will get someone like Analyze or Haleigh every season due to showmancing as well someone like Steve or Angela, have parallels to past Houseguests, like Ian and Christmas.
That said, the two positives I will say with the casting, as is, are: 1. There was an equal spilt of newer (season 16 onward) or older (up til season 15) Houseguest. 2. The wasn’t an over representation of any one season (the highest was 2 Houseguest from any season) Had COVID and controversy control wasn’t affecting casting choice, than the would likely more newer players than old and over-representation of some seasons (like season 16 and either 18 or 21 having at least 3 and 20 having at least 4 or 5 of them)
@@tourmii That is a go-to perception with casting, and what they kinda did do in older seasons with Big Brother, but there have been steps to improve that, like having more than one LGBT+, and more ethnicities, as past recent seasons both in US and Canada; despite all the racial accusations and controversies, BBUS21 had half the cast consisted of what I mentioned. Does there need to more representation? Yes, with race but beyond that as well.
Honestly, the BB fandom is way too toxic. I’m grateful that we have RUclipsrs like you who really show how we should act as a community. ANYWAYS, who’s excited for BBCAN9? EDIT: Taking it personal doesn’t help either. Yes calling out bad behavior and production can be justified, but don’t take it personal. Taking it personal is what makes it toxic people!!
True it is toxic but hey all fandoms are toxic so we just gotta learn to deal with it :P *Im also gonna pretend when bbcan9 comes out, I’ll just pretend it’s bb22
Big true, just never use reddit or Twitter. The true fans watch everyone season and enjoy the pros but don’t post on reddit how shit of a season it is.
I think you nailed the problem. I never noticed the correlation between the loss of Food / Luxury Comps and the predictability of the show. It shines the light on the cracks in the alliances when you are forced to make some difficultly choices. Much like the tough spot you can be put in with the Survivor Loved One comp. BB16 was the start with the Battle of the Block no more weekly comps. That plus the large alliance trend has brought us here.
People who make alliances tend to think getting everyone out but the members is the right play but by doing this you're literally only playing big brother with those alliance members so it's so limiting and boring to watch
BBUS did see that alliance sharing a bit due to Devin, but it didn’t break down enough. If it resulted in at least Christine ditching the Bomb squad instead staying with them to re-tool it as the Detonators, then it would have at least resulted in some small shifts.
Also, a mega alliance situation can get neutralized, like if there is at least another mega alliance, like season 20, the alliance cannibalizes it self, like BBCAN5 and BBUS21, though it that can yield some messy and ugly tv and gameplay until that happens. If there is no balance of power, like quite a few seasons or a floater inadvertently benefits the larger power, like Steve did in BBUS17 during the first double eviction, then it gets slanted and even so one-sided you almost hope a twist happens to shake things up or make things somewhat interesting, even momentarily, with this season and BBCAN7 showing that.
This season can be summed up to three sentences: *The outsiders can’t get their crap together* *Shouldve listened to Jaysar* *Cody always wins* Deserves the title of the most predictable and pretty dry season I’ve ever witnessed, guess this should’ve been change to BIG CIRCUS ALL CLOWNS
Imagine we had an alliance consisting of Janelle, Kaysar, Nicole A, Keesha, Kevin, Ian, Da'Vonne and Bayleigh vs The Comittee + Enzo. That would of allowed the power to shift between the two sides of the house. Instead there was one unified alliance and the other side being not harmonious and not believing in each other's ability to be trustworthy to one another. Janelle and Kaysar warned them of the Comittee but no one listened to them.
The way you break this down is so incredibly well done and I think you're completely correct about what needs to change. Let's hope you're right and this ushers in a new era of Big Brother! The work you put into your videos is much appreciated!
Tyler was the only hope. He shouldn't have played Cody's game. He could've fostered Bayleigh's support, never talked to David about Da'Vonne and got their support and been leader of the outcasts. He could've taken out Memphis or Nicole on his 1st HOH and brought Jaysar in. He could've thrown the HOH and let Janelle win. Tyler is a comp beast and socially good. He didn't have to stick to the Committee
I mean...he didn’t play Cody’s game because he did try to get Bayleigh and Day’s support, he talked to David about Day to warn him and further establish loyalty because it was true, he was putting a target on Dani over all the outcasts, and Jaysar kept saying his name and Janelle was going to put him up if she won. He hated the Committee lol. But he was stuck.
I mean to be fair, generally the fans were pretty disappointed with the first All Stars season of survivor. I would almost argue most people would put BB All Stars 1 over Survivor All Stars.
14:04-15:25 S12: The Brigade S13: The Regulators S14: The Quack Pack S15: The Exterminators S16: Bomb Squad, Detonators S17: The Sixth Sense S18: 8-Pack S19: The Misfits S20: Level Six, FOUTE S21: Gr8ful, Unde9able, Six Shooters S22: The Slick Six, The Commitee
The ending of this season was quite satisfying, and we saw some fantastic gameplay from Cody, Enzo, Memphis, and Da'Vonne. Even Nicole and Dani had some strong gameplay moments. I just think that the pregaming and one alliance running the house definitely brought the season down. Additionally, the loss of fan favorites like Keesha, Janelle, Kaysar, and Bayleigh pre-jury and the character assassinations of former fan favorites like both Nicoles and Tyler really hurt the season as well.
Thank you! It would be great to see a more diverse cast. Different ages, races, and bodies make the show great and interesting. We need some different personalities too that will lash or compliment each other, and not a cast that’s pretty much all the same.
Please talk about how shitty Memphis, Dani & Nicole were. So happy to see all of them evicted. None of them would’ve won once jury talked about how they made fun of Ian lmao
I remember Janelle, Kaysar, and Nicole A staying up late and talking in the love room on the first night of feeds about the Big Alliance they already clocked and Kaysar like looked into the camera and was like “they don’t know who they’re dealing with I’m coming for all of you😉😌” and I reeeeeeeeaaaally thought this season was going to be SO satisfying🤪...😔
Essentially, these were all-stars (+David) who didn't play like it except for Janelle and Kaysar. Bayleigh and Da'Vonne eventually got there, but it was too little, too late for the season.
I would LOVE to see a veto comp similar to the comp where they all placed bets but instead of shaving your head or eating slop everyday they were prompts like "who would be willing to give up their alliances to win the veto"
Nicole practicing her final 2 speech really showed how much she loved herself, after stabbing Ian in the back. I think Cody tried Derrick's strategy. It worked, but now his head is so big, it can't fit through any door.
I want everyone to know that its not Julie or the production’s fault that you don’t think this season is great. I feel like you should at least give them credit to even have a season during this awful pandemic! Think about how Julie is feeling having to host this show besides being with her loved ones. She wanted to give us an All-Star season to give us the entertainment we wanted and we needed when we were stuck at home. So god bless Julie and the production people for making this season even possible and bringing back some great old faces! ❤️ Edit: I am also including the ‘don’t blame the production as well’ part because I am just afraid that if the production of big brother sees so many negative things about them. We might not get another season! (Sorry I am just paranoid lol)
No it wasn’t entirely it’s fault HOWEVER i feel like they should’ve made more mental comps, I feel like both sides would have an equal chance than just psychical comps back to back to back to back, my opinion tho
@@rainischalk-late3540 True. But I think there weren’t many “good” comps because not all the production people were there to plan out the comps to make it more extreme and mental. They were probably with their families. But they tried their best to do what they can, I guess.
I think it was casting's fault that the season staggered so much. Too many players with the same type of mentality, and physical builds. I am still thrilled that we even got a season this Summer though. I definitely think Cody deserved to win, and while it may have not been as entertaining as past seasons, he played the perfect game, and I don't think you can chalk that up to luck.
I think that blaming Julie is really dumb, but blaming production is fine. Just watch any of the last 3 weeks of the game, they didn't have anything to edit and they didn't bother with any twists to make the game interesting at that point. The comps were really terrible and boring (like the veto when Nicole A was evicted- what even was that supposed to be) Also, the casting is 100% productions fault too. Why would you ever cast Christmas over Jessica/Cody (even though I hate him)? Why is only Da'vonne coming back from bb17? None of the newbies from BB18 are back either. There are so many better options to cast than Christmas or David or Memphis. They shouldn't have called it all stars, but second chances instead and went this route. A lot of real all stars couldn't participate this year because of pregnancy (Vanessa, Rachel, Britney and I think jessica from bb19 too), just go with a different theme and bring us some Rockstar and kat Dunn for good TV.
I cannot agree more with everything you said in this video. I want to highlight where you said that they need to focus on a more diverse cast--because I think it really is essential for the survival and longevity of this show. One of the most exciting aspects of this show is watching how these people live and react to each other. Having 10-12 "social media influencers" and Instagram models in their 20s is beyond boring. A season I remember so vividly is 10 because of the cast. Keesha, Renny, Jerry, Ollie & April, Jessie, and Dan & Memphis interacting and socializing together was phenomenal. The New Orleans middle-aged woman, the veteran senior citizen, the African American pastor's son, a young bartender, a young Catholic high school football coach, and a young, boastful, bodybuilder all reacting and mixing together in one house was a sight to behold. Even with Kent and Bunky, watching them become friends and work together was crazy. If more seasons can spark this kind of cast and this kind of people, I find it hard for this current Big Brother mentality and game plan to continue. Bring fat people, old people, Asian people, African Americans, Spanish people, poor white people from the Midwest, and loud New Yorkers to the cast. There are so many people in the U.S., we are a melting pot of everything. There is no excuse to have a primarily white, 20-year-old cast of social media influencers. No excuse whatsoever.
Your initial reaction to the cast member, was my reaction. I kinda felt like it wasn't going to be a dynamic season with a few exceptions ie Dani, Ian, Kaysar, Keesha, Tyler and Janelle. But everyone else I was like meh.
Im still confused why a season that happened during a global pandemic didn’t have any america votes. Fans should have been involved in some way. Also does anyone else love the OTT first HOH and wish they would use it again.
But I mean it’s a 3 month game so if there’s another week with no eliminations I just feel like everyone’s just gonna act the same lol and I would have to watch everyone moping around saying “I wAnNa gO hOme”
@@rainischalk-late3540 I see that I see that - I was just thinking like everyone's cards ould (hopefully) be shown in the vote and then hopefully there would be ~fallout~ but who knows
Cody’s game wasn’t quite as good as derricks, I feel like Derrick is just such a good player than he set himself up to always be in a good position basically the entirety of the game, Cody while good did get extremely lucky. if their were twists a little later in the game, or his alliance lost 2 or so comps he would have been placed in a bad position, and most likely thrown up on the block. luckily for him everyone that was a threat to him was unable to win any power whatsoever so he was safe regardless. Then theirs the fact that the ppl who were winning comps were also the ones too scared to make a move on cody, and that Tyler quit, and that Dani got rid of Ian instead of Tyler when Nicole was gonna follow whatever Dani wanted, Dani could have used the excuse of Tyler wanting to quit and that he was telling her to put him Up in order to keep the blood off her hands, so instead of having a Tyler who had stopped playing we would have had an Ian who just started playing. Or if Tyler just didn’t quit in the first place cody probably would have been put into a lot worse position. It also helped him that his to closed ally’s in Enzo and Nicole where both willing to lose to cody, by taking him to the end knowing they would get second place (you don’t find people like this often) while technical you could say cody did this in s16 by taking Derrick, Cody actually did have game, outside of just being a pawn and a shield (unlike Enzo and Nicole), also to give Derrick a few more points here I never really felt like he was in much danger even when certain events didn’t go his way, he was smart and calculated enough to get out of those hard spots. While for Cody I think if a few things went a little different he would have gone home.
I quit on this horrible season after 2 weeks, which is a new record for me in a non-celebrity version of the show. Modern BB is just too boring and predictable.
Just a note: It will be VERY hard for them to get a diverse group of people because EVERYONE on BB has to have 1. Access to regular internet, cell service, etc. 2. Be able to AFFORD travel to LA/ large cities for casting calls and interviews (only the last two rounds are paid for by producers) and 3. Be in a stable enough living condition that they can take the time off work to engage in the interviews and travel needed prior to even knowing if they are accepted to the show AND THEN be able to take off over 3 months of work for the actual show. It's difficult to get a broader range of contestants when there is a large wall for those with less privilege to be able to try to be on the show. I can understand that being a part of the 3 month show is literally a part of the process and necessary (duh) but the money needed to just APPLY to the show is massive.
This is true and what makes casting a little more difficult. But I'd have to imagine they get applications from all over with a varying range of people. I think they could find a more leveled cast if they really wanted to.
@@Peridiam Yeah, exactly. If they really wanted to they would put a bit more money in it and effort into accommodating to those that may only have video submissions etc, but that's just more work they seem to not want to put the energy into now unfortunately
Also if you're more intelligent, the better bang for the buck is to apply for a show like the Amazing Race or Survivor with a better pay out/chance of pay out and shorter investment of time with the same (or sometimes same) casting people.
@@jennifer242 True. It feels the intelligent people who do end up in BB are mostly there because they are previous fans for the show and not because casting just found them. Casting finds all the pretty ppl (most of the time) while the brains find them!
He said biggest disappointment I 100% agree. I remember being hopeful too about Christmas and thinking it made sense for her to be there. Yikes. Retrospect is 20/20
I know this is 2 years old, but this season is what ruined bb for me. The past few years ever since season 17 it’s just gone down hill. I am so so sick and tired of social media recruits being in the game. I want normal ass people.
I think during isolation before gameplay, the incoming players are shown particular past seasons that feature big alliances working together and that encourages them to imitate.
this season was tough to watch. sure it was boring, but let's be real cody played a fantastic game. unfortunately for us, one person playing a near perfect game, can be extremely boring. but nonetheless, i'll always take a boring season over no season at all
I agree with you worst season. I was hooked on live feeds but this season I sometimes couldm't even watch them that's how boring it ended up being. From the pre- game alliances, to the voting whatever way the HOH says to the huge dominant alliance and finally going after Jaysar even after they were gone it sucked.
It's hard to continue to enjoy a show that allows micro aggressions, bullying, racism and has no inclusiveness. It's hurtful, disappointing and disheartening. The fact that some people are completely fine with seeing the mistreatment of certain HGs is truly disgusting. The casuals never understand what's going on because the show is heavily edited. They love for their favorites to look a certain way instead of holding them accountable. It's sad. 😔😤
@@BC-fx2yt I'm talking about the show overall. There were some micro aggressions though. Xmas saying she was afraid Day and Bay were going to stab or shoot her after being nominated. Cody saying David winning and using his power was equivalent to OJ Simpson getting away with murder. Tyler using BLM...I'm not even going there. Ian saying he wouldn't vote for Day, David or Kevin. That looked really bad because they're all black and were nice to him the whole time. He apologized on twitter for that though. The way Memphis belittled David being aggressive towards him. Dani, Xmas and Nicole calling Bayleigh a thief although Janelle gave Bay some of her clothes. Dani made fun of Day having fibroids saying they're not real, which isn't true. Fibroids are a huge medical issue amongst black women. There are women in my family who've had them including my mom. She had surgery to get them removed. When people called Dani out on twitter for the things she did in the house, she started blocking people left and right. She did not want to be held accountable for anything.
Lol imagine big brother without the live feeds? Omg I can’t even imagine that lol- But yea it’s pretty sad that they let these ppl continue to do these horrible acts, but nothing rlly gonna change
You and the rest of Twitter just needs to fucking toughen up, we're all sick of your comments like these. You think that we want a santitized game where nobody is mean to each other, shows hints of racism, or bullies anyone. WE DON"T. We want to see how humanity really acts in private, how they choose to act around each other and what those ramifications are. Part of why these seasons are so boring is nobody wants to be a Twitter Target. We should all just allow things to be teachable moments and stop cancelling people.
I’ve only seen BB20 and Celebrity BB 2 so I didn’t have any expectations for this season. I didn’t think it was bad at all because I didn’t know what bad things could come from it. It was just a normal season for me
@@mrwrecks110 still 6 is a good season to start off with it was my first season and if he would like it because its has drama but season 12 is good with rachel and 10 is good with dan so I respect your opinion im just saying that he should watch 6 and the first all stars
Okay...so this is just a thought (and a long shot), but why not do the finale of big brother as a two parter? Part one is not live. Final 3 HOH PT. 3, Final 3 eviction, and Jury roundtable with the final two houseguests, asking questions etc and the jury votes for the winner. Perhaps 90 min? Part two is live. Recapping the season, talking about events, revealing jury votes and maybe making the America’s fav houseguest segment a tad bit important, maybe 60 min But yeah the big brother format needs to be fixed
I was mostly mad for the one thing that few people addressed and that was Nicole, Memphis, Dani and Christmas making fun of Ian’s autism. Then as I let a sit I got mad at Cody, Enzo and anyone else involved with the committee that enabled this behavioral.
It was a 3 month long Pagonging; that in itself isn't necessarily bad to have once in a while. Survivor producers implemented tribe swaps and double boot episodes to counter the predictability of Pagongings. I'm much less confident the BB producers are capable of such fundamental gameplay changes. That is the biggest problem.
There isn’t an official term for this in Big Brother. If a term could come into light and the producers were aware of that term than something could done more so. My vote for the Big Brother equivalent of pagonging is sheep-herding
I couldn’t agree with you more. My first season was also 12, 14 was my favorite by far, and I have also been binging the previous seasons leading up to this (starting with 2 (I can’t make it through season 1) and I’m currently on season 12) My favorite seasons are the ones where there are two strong alliances and the power shifts every week. Season 6 is a great example of this. No one is safe. And you never know what is going to happen. They definitely need to diversify the cast more. more POC, a bigger age range, and I would love to see some plus size people show up. The best thing about this season for me was there were no showmances. Everyone being older and settled down took away at least that aspect that I feel gets far too much attention in other seasons. Hopefully season 23 will be better and they can learn from the mistakes of this season.
Peridiam! Are you still planning to do a Big Brother seasons ranking video? And if so, do you have an idea of when we could expect it? Love your videos! Thanks!
@@creative_commander4973 I’ll probably leave them out so I can have a simple mainline season ranking. Also excluding BB1. I also didn’t watch OTT live.
Worst season ever. It’s sooooo boring. It was predictable and awful! Memphis is an a hole and he cut Nicole red headed one out early. Ugh I hated it. I didn’t even watch the finale cause I was so over it
Peridiam, again, someone that has put much thought and work in evaluating big brother. I agree with you. But even if I did not, you present your arguments well; something missing in our culture these days. Emotions seem to rule the day and in the end, emotions destroy. Thanks for always taking the time to make your videos. I appreciate you. I'll keep watching as long as you keep making them. Peace, AB.
Thanks for this always introspective, deep and understanding analysis of yours. Boring remains the central adjective of the season, and i'm kinda in tune with the whole "that was unavoidable" feeling. BB22 is less an illness than a symptom of a kind, potentially as a meta-thing of the whole society ... Thank you once again for the subtetly not only in thematic but also in vocabulary and structure. PS : Which Video Games are waiting on your to-do list by the way ? Greetings from Belgium
I tried. Things really started to go pear-shaped when Kaysar lost Carnival Quick Shot. The final nail IMO was when Kevin and I drew the starting spots in the knockout.
It was smart trying to downplay yourself in the house with such big personalities.. but you were 100% right when you said you should have started going hard a week earlier and you might have been in a better spot. Tough when theres big alliances being made and you're not in it though - this season needed a troublemaker tbh lol you did great though, and I really hope to see you back in another season's cast. I was rooting for you man!
Don't kick yourself too much. I don't think there's much anyone can do when most of the cast is so determined to keep themselves safe and never take any risks. Regardless, you were great to watch, and it was a shame that you got booted so quick and so unceremoniously when you were so perceptive. Also, Isaac is like the best thing ever. I hope you're enjoying your time outside of the BB house so far and there isn't too much drama you have to deal with.
Omg HI IAN!!!!! I loved you so much this season and I was pulling for you, Janelle and Kaysar!!! Thank you for playing and for continuing to be a role mode for others out there!
I just realized that Peridiam's intro was referencing NakeyJakey's quote in his Last of Us video. "The Last Of Us 2 has made me feel like an insane person for the last couple months."
Casting rule; each member must be from a different state, that might help with no one knowing each other. Take notes from BBCan with certain things they do. (We still remember the Ika letter shredder) Question; did that checkered pattern intro winner thing still continuing ?
Yess, we need to diversity. One old guy and the season token gay don't qualify for diversity. If I see another personal trainer or social media influnecer with 15k followers. Imma throw fists
Cody winning was great, him cutting Nicole and taking Enzo was great, Day winning AFP was great. Great finale overall. My biggest problem with the season was the Triple Eviction and the endgame dragging. The Triple took away the final 5 speed up surprise eviction and it also sucked the life out of the season which made the endgame drag. They either need to never bring the triple back or just speed up the endgame so each eviciton isn't a full week or something. There aren't enough players at the end and depending on who wins Hoh/veto you already know the results of the week
That wasn’t the triple eviction’s fault, as they did that crap last season (with only one double eviction and re-entry comp) and production thought it was good idea to have the remaining weeks just be one eviction per week. If placed and done right, something like a triple eviction can work effectively. If anything, this highlights that Big Brother actually needs increase the cast size to at least 18 to have more flexibility with the game flow.
To be honest, the triple eviction low key saved the season. It was much better that everything was sped up so people wouldn’t had to watch the season more.
season 10 had the top tier casting and i wish they'd continue to cast like that every season instead of putting 4 frat bros and 5 wannabe influencers mixed in with the occasional interesting personality the thing is i was so happy to see keesha and memphis because i'd thought they'd make the season interesting but keesha was first boot (everyone interesting left pre-jury tbh and btw i'm still salty at one of my favorite players being an alternate and a first boot because even if she wants to come back i doubt cbs will let her and i feel robbed) and memphis already had stuff mapped out with cody to where he didn't even need to do anything first half of the game though i'd say he may have been interesting if other people had big personalities to challenge him because he seems like if pushed he'd pop off but maybe he's too old for that now idk i think a big thing is casting wants to avoid the potential problematic people which i agree to an extent but if it makes the cast boring with no drama ehhhhh like bb10 we had: dan: virgin ~pure~ catholic teacher by day and the pure definition of chaos by night keesha: hooters waitress with a heart of gold but also will stand up for herself and isn't afraid of drama and calling people out jerry: the oldest man ever on the show who seemed sweet but high-key turned almost demonic when pissed off and a total asshole despite everyone wanting to be nice to him because ~he's old~ memphis: the guy that has a hard time expressing his feelings and can be a bit rude and rub people the wrong way socially but a pretty good player renny: loudmouth, eccentric new orleans hair salon owner who always says what is on her mind and is over 40 libra: gets into fights every week but somehow usually gets her way and is one of the most strategic players in the game jessie: bodybuilder who doesn't hold ANYTHING back and kind of acts like an entitled douche ollie: good christian boy who gets freaky in the bed with his showmance on tv, gullible and throws temper tantrums april: on the first night let married jerry touch her boobs an the ~mean girl~ of the house... enough said michelle: great and comps but fiery as they come and will not hold ANYTHING back brian: the wannabe mastermind who had everything planned out except he had to blab about it to the literal entire house.. always iconic but shows how you can play too hard too fast steven: gay rodeo cowboy with a heart of gold... enough said angie: the shy tomboy..nothing super astounding about her but you need at least one more timid person now it's: frat boy 1 frat boy 2 frat boy 3 frat boy 4 but he has a weird job or something wannabe influencer 1 wannabe influencer 2 wannabe influencer 3 wannabe influencer 4 wannabe influencer 5 someone gay a poc another poc (only two per season!!! though i will say this season it was better except when they were pretty much one of the first targets of the house and no one chose to align with them in a big alliance) someone 30 or something a nerd someone interesting but they don't last long a superfan all the frat boys and influencers immediately align and take everyone interesting out
I started watching survivor because of you, I loved your big brother videos and wanted to give survivor a chance.... Now I'm already about to finish season one and I'm hooked. Thanks a lot now I gotta binge watch 40 seasons LOL
I seriously cannot believe the Power of Veto was used only ONCE this season. Like how in the hell did they never make any moves?
Twice with Kevin and Day to Kevin.
@@ramaarafat4608 Ohh yeah but I mean like where someone used it on someone else
That's what made the season more dry. The veto wasn't used enough.
Exactly, like one just back door someone and move on like bro this is all stars and I’m pretty sure last season a lot used the veto 😂
It's because everyone was to afraid to go against the grain. They were way too friendly this season
I was so excited to see Will back I came decided to watch only the HoH and veto comp...but didn’t find the best bb player of all time Dr Will Kirby :(
Couldn’t have said it better myself chief
@@legendarysingh2173 I see a mistake in your writing, you accidentally said that Will was the best player when Dan Gheesling exists.
In his second season the pact not to vote for a returnee means he loses against everyone, so he had no chance there at all.
the biggest mistake was not casting Johnny Mac no cap

That was not shocking at all, I don't know how anybody thought he would choose Nicole over Enzo.
big brother and survivor both had all star seasons this year and all 5 finalists were from new jersey.
as it should be 😌
@random person lol But in survivor they jury has 3 to vote for in the final and in bb it’s only 2 so Nicole doesn’t count
Yep - we had Tony as our Survivor winner and Cody as BB. Yes there was the Meow Meow.
If there's one thing NJ is good at, it's reality TV lol
This season was so boring. I’d rather have a season of “second chances” where the entire cast are all pre-jury houseguests from previous seasons
Ya, then everyone would actually want to play harder!!!
Agreed
I think this is the key secret ingredient that modern player need to use to win.
oooo new perspective, i’ve always hated bb19 and josh, but i see your point.
Josh’s game is just like how he plays the challenge. Push it to the limit then cry. Honestly the way he conducted himself and how he went 100 on mark with the pots and pans and being Paul’s puppet
I'm the biggest Josh fan there is hands down and even I'll say there's no way this was intentional on his part. He backed into it lol
It’s still too early for big moves yo
i'll admit the season wasn't so great, but cody cutting nicole was one of the best final 3 cut ever.
Why? He was gonna win either way. This season was boring bc the majority didn’t face adversity, but you can’t deny Cody and enzos dominance over the game
Exactly like one of the only big moves made that game lol if he had taken Nicole, he probably would’ve had less of a chance to win lol
Cody cutting Nicole made zero difference, he was winning regardless and Nicole already won and is pretty well off financially so to give Enzo 50 k wasn’t really that big of a slap to Nicole
How? He was winning either way, it really was the safer move tbh, you can’t cut someone who was as loyal to you as Enzo all season
@FrontYardWrestling99 Exactly... Cody wasn't going to make that mistake again.
@FrontYardWrestling99 if that had happened I would have been so mad because Cody played the best game that season. Cody deserved to win against anyone.

My first season was season 15. As for this season, I dropped out after the triple eviction. It felt extremely safe and boring. I totally agreed with the need for diversity whether it is race, age, body shape, homestate, etc.

That said, the two positives I will say with the casting, as is, are:
1. There was an equal spilt of newer (season 16 onward) or older (up til season 15) Houseguest.
2. The wasn’t an over representation of any one season (the highest was 2 Houseguest from any season) Had COVID and controversy control wasn’t affecting casting choice, than the would likely more newer players than old and over-representation of some seasons (like season 16 and either 18 or 21 having at least 3 and 20 having at least 4 or 5 of them)
They definitely need more diversity. There's *no reason* for there to be 14 white people and 2 people of color time after time
@@tourmii That is a go-to perception with casting, and what they kinda did do in older seasons with Big Brother, but there have been steps to improve that, like having more than one LGBT+, and more ethnicities, as past recent seasons both in US and Canada; despite all the racial accusations and controversies, BBUS21 had half the cast consisted of what I mentioned. Does there need to more representation? Yes, with race but beyond that as well.
@@tourmii I completely agree. Imagine a big brother with real life people too and not a bunch of wanna be Instagram models

It's Holly.
We need food and luxury comps again. Loved seeing the houseguests fight for food

Only people I liked coming out of this season were 3 of the first four evicted. Keesha, Janelle, and Kaysar.
Why not Nicole? She was completely fine, it’s just that Memphis felt like being an asshole and nominated “rookies.”
This season can be summed up to three sentences:
*The outsiders can’t get their crap together*
*Shouldve listened to Jaysar*
*Cody always wins*
Deserves the title of the most predictable and pretty dry season I’ve ever witnessed, guess this should’ve been change to BIG CIRCUS ALL CLOWNS
I made it as far as Ian's eviction and then stopped watching this year.
Lol I kept going because I was just bored and wanted to see how horrible this season gOnNa turn out, idk why I didn’t stop watching once Keesha left 😂

The way you break this down is so incredibly well done and I think you're completely correct about what needs to change. Let's hope you're right and this ushers in a new era of Big Brother! The work you put into your videos is much appreciated!
I was selfishly hoping for the Julie compilation at the end to spiral into every time she says “I LOVE that you love God”
Why was Survivor All-Stars so epic and BB All-Stars so boring?

The ending of this season was quite satisfying, and we saw some fantastic gameplay from Cody, Enzo, Memphis, and Da'Vonne. Even Nicole and Dani had some strong gameplay moments. I just think that the pregaming and one alliance running the house definitely brought the season down. Additionally, the loss of fan favorites like Keesha, Janelle, Kaysar, and Bayleigh pre-jury and the character assassinations of former fan favorites like both Nicoles and Tyler really hurt the season as well.
Some people say the boot order should have been backwards!
Thank you! It would be great to see a more diverse cast. Different ages, races, and bodies make the show great and interesting. We need some different personalities too that will lash or compliment each other, and not a cast that’s pretty much all the same.

Edit: I am also including the ‘don’t blame the production as well’ part because I am just afraid that if the production of big brother sees so many negative things about them.
@@RebekahAntis Agreed.
I think that blaming Julie is really dumb, but blaming production is fine. Just watch any of the last 3 weeks of the game, they didn't have anything to edit and they didn't bother with any twists to make the game interesting at that point. The comps were really terrible and boring (like the veto when Nicole A was evicted- what even was that supposed to be)
Also, the casting is 100% productions fault too.
The best part of the season was watching David behave like an alien with every interaction he had
Im still confused why a season that happened during a global pandemic didn’t have any america votes. Fans should have been involved in some way.

Big Brother: Some Stars
While for Cody I think if a few things went a little different he would have gone home.
the problem with Nicole and enzo was they both thought they would lose to the other
When I look at how disappointing this season was, I am reminded how glad I am that Survivor: Winners at War was everything I wanted and more!!!!
Ya I agree
I quit on this horrible season after 2 weeks, which is a new record for me in a non-celebrity version of the show. Modern BB is just too boring and predictable.
Just a note:
It will be VERY hard for them to get a diverse group of people because EVERYONE on BB has to have 1.
What the fuck that has to do with the price of tea in China? White people of all likes are there so that is a shitty excuse
AFP was my fav moment of the season.
*Yes Da’Vonne won the season* 😍
I think during isolation before gameplay, the incoming players are shown particular past seasons that feature big alliances working together and that encourages them to imitate.
You combining Federer and big brother was the greatest 15 seconds of my life
Any video with Vanessa's famous quote deserves a like
this season was tough to watch. sure it was boring, but let's be real cody played a fantastic game. unfortunately for us, one person playing a near perfect game, can be extremely boring. but nonetheless, i'll always take a boring season over no season at all
I agree with you worst season. I was hooked on live feeds but this season I sometimes couldm't even watch them that's how boring it ended up being. From the pre- game alliances, to the voting whatever way the HOH says to the huge dominant alliance and finally going after Jaysar even after they were gone it sucked.
This is probably the best video you’ve ever done.
It's sad. 😔😤
Was there any racism this season though? If there was, I don’t remember it
I need some context
Omg I can’t even imagine that lol-
But yea it’s pretty sad that they let these ppl continue to do these horrible acts, but nothing rlly gonna change
It was just a normal season for me
if you go back to any other seasons I would recommend starting with 10 or 12
what about the true all star season and bb6?
@@devin9469 There is nothing wrong with season 7 it’s just that its all stars and he wouldn’t know anyone’s game
@@mrwrecks110 still 6 is a good season to start off with it was my first season and if he would like it because its has drama but season 12 is good with rachel and 10 is good with dan so I respect your opinion im just saying that he should watch 6 and the first all stars
@@devin9469 yeah six is a nice start too. Season 11 is my first but nothing special about that one too much
Survivor > Big Brother. Never thought I'd say it, but it just is.
Recapping the season, talking about events, revealing jury votes and maybe making the America’s fav houseguest segment a tad bit important, maybe 60 min
But yeah the big brother format needs to be fixed
Who else felt like Cody was a bitter person on the show and made the show seem so mad.
I was mostly mad for the one thing that few people addressed and that was Nicole, Memphis, Dani and Christmas making fun of Ian’s autism. Then as I let a sit I got mad at Cody, Enzo and anyone else involved with the committee that enabled this behavioral.
Peridiam needs to be on big brother
It was a 3 month long Pagonging; that in itself isn't necessarily bad to have once in a while.
Survivor producers implemented tribe swaps and double boot episodes to counter the predictability of Pagongings.
I'm much less confident the BB producers are capable of such fundamental gameplay changes. That is the biggest problem.
There isn’t an official term for this in Big Brother. If a term could come into light and the producers were aware of that term than something could done more so.
My vote for the Big Brother equivalent of pagonging is sheep-herding
Agreed this is what I hate with the modern seasons hopefully after this season production comes up with ways to fix it.
I couldn’t agree with you more.
My first season was also 12, 14 was my favorite by far, and I have also been binging the previous seasons leading up to this (starting with 2 (I can’t make it through season 1) and I’m currently on season 12)
My favorite seasons are the ones where there are two strong alliances and the power shifts every week.
Thanks!
I am! Likely around Thanksgiving, if not sooner.
@@Peridiam awesome! Looking forward to it!
@@Peridiam If you are doing it soon, are you going to include CBB(2) and OtT? Or BB1? Thanks
@@creative_commander4973 Usually the only season he doesn’t count is BB1, everything else is fair game.
@@creative_commander4973 I’ll probably leave them out so I can have a simple mainline season ranking. Also excluding BB1. I also didn’t watch OTT live.
I WAS DEPRESSED WITH I DIDN'T SEE VANESSA OR DAN
i heard Enzo is still trying to make big moves.
No, he is just talking about making big moves, which he never actually tries to do.
Worst season ever. It’s sooooo boring. It was predictable and awful! Memphis is an a hole and he cut Nicole red headed one out early. Ugh I hated it. I didn’t even watch the finale cause I was so over it
“Yo fuck mega alliances! All my homies hate mega alliances!”
And that’s why I stopped watch big brother.
Peace, AB.
They 100% couldn't get Vanessa, she just birthed twins.
Sadly lol I wanted Vanessa to call out Nicole Tears, then again I’m happy she wasn’t on here just bc she would’ve been out immediately 😂
You should do a winners edit of The amazing race
After Kaysar and Janelle (speicifcally Kaysar) left, I gave up watching.
I can't believe Derrick is the first two-time big brother winner!!! /s
THIS.
@@Missab4000 what is up with cops being two time winners on CBS shows in 2020?? Lolllll
@Heather JolandaAh, but he put together the preseason alliance!
Lol this is funny
Okay that big @** pause at that 32 min mark had my jaw dropped, a frenzy in my head and had me ," no way, that it can't be it!"
@@pinglewingle1304 Thanks. I appreciate that.
(We still remember the Ika letter shredder)
Question; did that checkered pattern intro winner thing still continuing ?
Also can we have more casting that isn’t like jocks and models vs oldies and the quirkies? Oof
@@rainischalk-late3540 Doesn’t really happen? Like BB21 had literally Cliff as the one older person and that’s it.
@@rainischalk-late3540 truue like how bb20 was literally stereo type highschool jocks and pretty girls Vs the others
Safety Suite was the best thing about this season. Hope it comes back.
It was much better that everything was sped up so people wouldn’t had to watch the season more.
season 10 had the top tier casting and i wish they'd continue to cast like that every season instead of putting 4 frat bros and 5 wannabe influencers mixed in with the occasional interesting personality
the thing is i was so happy to see keesha and memphis because i'd thought they'd make the season interesting but keesha was first boot (everyone interesting left pre-jury tbh and btw i'm still salty at one of my favorite players being an alternate and a first boot because even if she wants to come back i doubt cbs will let her and i feel robbed) and memphis already had stuff mapped out with cody to where he didn't even need to do anything first half of the game though i'd say he may have been interesting if other people had big personalities to challenge him because he seems like if pushed he'd pop off but maybe he's too old for that now idk
i think a big thing is casting wants to avoid the potential problematic people which i agree to an extent but if it makes the cast boring with no drama ehhhhh
like bb10 we had:
dan: virgin ~pure~ catholic teacher by day and the pure definition of chaos by night
keesha: hooters waitress with a heart of gold but also will stand up for herself and isn't afraid of drama and calling people out
jerry: the oldest man ever on the show who seemed sweet but high-key turned almost demonic when pissed off and a total asshole despite everyone wanting to be nice to him because ~he's old~
memphis: the guy that has a hard time expressing his feelings and can be a bit rude and rub people the wrong way socially but a pretty good player
renny: loudmouth, eccentric new orleans hair salon owner who always says what is on her mind and is over 40
libra: gets into fights every week but somehow usually gets her way and is one of the most strategic players in the game
jessie: bodybuilder who doesn't hold ANYTHING back and kind of acts like an entitled douche
ollie: good christian boy who gets freaky in the bed with his showmance on tv, gullible and throws temper tantrums
april: on the first night let married jerry touch her boobs an the ~mean girl~ of the house... enough said
michelle: great and comps but fiery as they come and will not hold ANYTHING back
brian: the wannabe mastermind who had everything planned out except he had to blab about it to the literal entire house.. always iconic but shows how you can play too hard too fast
steven: gay rodeo cowboy with a heart of gold... enough said
angie: the shy tomboy..nothing super astounding about her but you need at least one more timid person
now it's:
frat boy 1
frat boy 2
frat boy 3
frat boy 4 but he has a weird job or something
wannabe influencer 1
wannabe influencer 2
wannabe influencer 3
wannabe influencer 4
wannabe influencer 5
someone gay
a poc
another poc (only two per season!!! though i will say this season it was better except when they were pretty much one of the first targets of the house and no one chose to align with them in a big alliance)
someone 30 or something
a nerd
someone interesting but they don't last long
a superfan
all the frat boys and influencers immediately align and take everyone interesting out
I started watching survivor because of you, I loved your big brother videos and wanted to give survivor a chance.... Now I'm already about to finish season one and I'm hooked. Thanks a lot now I gotta binge watch 40 seasons LOL
