I'm surprised Marty doesn't have any Taylor guitars.
@@charliepoe4935 Not even a Gretsch Country Gentleman... He may...But like myself, he might store the very expensive ones in a more secure location rather in a garage next to a water heater.
You're one of my heroes, Marty. Been watching you for what I thought was 17 years. I guess it was only 14?
I was 14 as well when I started watching this legend
I am 14
I am 14 too :)
Same
you losers
I'm 15
My first guitar was a cherry sg epiphone in 2011 and my first lesson on youtube was come as you are with you marty. You and papa stache taught me sooo much. So glad to see you still rockin it.
Hey man, what pedal(s) should I get to
sound like Randy Rhodes, Van Halen, Angus Young, Slash, Zakk Wylde? I'm just a beginner with an Epiphone SG Special VE, just like you once, & a Blackstar 15W amp. But I am learningggg🤠
@@AZZZBUZZZTERR i have no experience with pedals but when i started playing i thought i wanted to be kirk hammet or jimmy hendrix but i found my own style and realized that imitation of other artists didnt make me happy. Sorry but yeah i dont use pedals... but i guess big muff is always a way to to go
@@AZZZBUZZZTERR I'm not very good at guitar but have used a few pedals. My proco RAT 2 can sounds pretty sick. If you put a ts9 tube screamer infront of it then it's even crazier (granted your amp doesn't just start squealing) good luck dude
Kurt cobain use a ds1 rhoads some reverb and kverdrive i would say
Marty, all I have to say is thank you! I started playing during quarantine, and now I’m obsessed. Your videos helped me to learn and I enjoy coming back as often as I can! Keep up everything! I can tell you’re a good man with a passion for music and helping others! Much love!
Marty, thank you for being such a big inspiration to me and my friend. Keep up the amazing work!
Thank you! Will do!
When I’m not practicing I’m nerding out on all the guitars I wish I had. I really want a TV yellow SG.
I still got that acoustic Jackson you gave me about 10 years ago, Love your brother
This is a better Gibson Ad than Gibson could do themselves 😂 love how humble Marty is, rock on
Marty,
Your videos, for me, starting back In 2010 taught me the fundamentals on guitar, my favorites songs, and to fall in love with the guitar. I cannot express fully how influential you have been to me. Thank you, Marty. Thank you for the time, the investment, and for sharing your passion with me.
Marty has plenty of guitar collection videos but I haven’t seen an amp collection video yet
Awe that pink one is so cute!! Lol
I liked the last acoustic one you showed. Sounds great!
As someone with a very modest guitar collection this is something to watch. I know that collecting guitars is always a battle over what to keep and what to sell, trade or give away.
I have enjoyed your lessons for a long time. I enjoyed watching them make your Gibson in the other video also.
Great content from a cool dude. Had a few lessons but quit after a few years. Been going through some life struggles lately and picked the guitar up again, and it has saved my life. Just to get lost playing in a place of peace has helped me so much! My name is Matthew and my nickname is MARTY!!!
Love the Martin acoustic. Sounds fantastic
Your every video inspires me to become a guiterist.really enjoyed your videoes, especially Your guiter collection.
Cool, thanks!
The awesome blue Epiiphone ES339 is in Pelham blue. I have that very model and love it, its a great size and weight with magical tones. Ive 11 guitars but play Betty about 90% of the time because it just feels so nice.
Killer guitars Marty! My bucket list includes getting good enough to jam with you! I've got to hurry though, I'm 66. Thanks for all your great lessons!
Love your honesty and how humble you are Marty, it is so refreshing to hear these days man. Heritage missed out. :)
Marty your my teacher. I figured it only makes sense for me to use what you have taught me with. I have bought most of your go to guitars, your boss katana, the strings you use, even down to the picks...It paid off big time, I have the tone, the knowledge, and the confidence. All because of you. I don't think you understand how you have changed people's lives.
You are so amazing at guitar and have taught me so much, thank you.
I only got 12 guitars, Epiphone Lp studio ebony , epiphone LP John Sykes mirror pickuard, 1992 modified fender MIJ stratocaster, epiphone SG 400, Squier vintage modified 70s strat, black SGR by Schecter C7 7 string, Jackson King V, Dangelico premier 12 string, Aria 1969 nylon string, Tanglewodd TW28-ST acoustic steelstring and a 3/4 Husets Gitarr(swedish brand) nylon string wich was my first ever guitar.
its so hilarious that the TV yellow junior was created as gibsons student model lol... how amazing would it be to just start off like first guitar... the one you learn open chords and stuff on is just a TV yellow junior.. now a days its a guitar that you might buy after being a legit player for a while and really want a top tier guitar hahaha... keep up the good work buddy and its super cool to see what axes and what styles you dig cuz everyones so different when it comes to what they like..
Marty want to thank you bro ...you have been very influential in my guitar journey.. an for me anyone that has gotten to jam with an original member of skinned is a legend all there own
Please can you teach us Helping Hand by The Screaming Jets. Other lessons I've seen don't go through as much detail about naming the strings while picking through.. Your a Legend Marty Schwartz
Its awesome watching you're tutor riff off😎😎😎👊❤
Thanks Marty , for sharing your guitar collection and all your song videos , I'm learning the songs !!!
Love the TV yellow Gibson
Dude that m36 is an incredibly amazing guitar
Hi Marty. Thanks. Keep on rocking
Thanks for your dedication.
And helping me fulfill my own dream
Of playing guitar
I never realised it was a backdrop I just assumed it was a wall. You have just blew my mind.
Anyway, cool guitars!!!
Watching you has taken me to the next level. I am now on level two. Thank you sir.
Marty,
One small correction.
TV yellow was used, because it showed white. White guitars made the early tv cameras wash out. Not because it “popped”.
Marty...
You are an inspiration, a motivation, and an enormous help through tough times, within music or otherwise.
Legend
Thanks Marty, really enjoyed your collection, hoping for part 2 soon to see the rest!👍
Happy birthday Marty! Every time I watch you I learn something new I need to know or want to play! Thank you Marty! And I think you are a lot better guitar player than you humbly let on!
Marty, IIRC when you were in SteamRoller in college y'all used to play quite a bit of funk type stuff. My friends and I would go to house party's just because y'all were playing, so we knew it would be a good time! "Glory Days," as Bruce would say. You make CSF proud! Take care.
Marty my brother, I love those hats you always wearing, and the ES-335 is the undisputed king of electric guitars. Your videos are awesome!
ES-335 and Teles
You’re the best Marty ! thanks for helping me learn so many songs.
That's almost like my story about the house!! Lol I've upgraded to a tankless water heater because the old heater tank finally bit the dust! That nice guitar collection a do not have however!
16:00 While it's true that Joe Walsh gave Page his guitar, he gave it to him in exchange for money. And if Walsh doesn't remember the transaction wrong, it was for $1200 which was by no means an insignificant sum in 1969.
Nice collection my friend.
You are doing good work. I find your videos very useful personally. I also point guitar noobs directly to your channel as the place to start learning. Your hard work is paying off and helping others at the same time. Nice!
Saw a signature Jeff Beck seafoam green strat at San Marcos, G.C. a few years ago!
No relic on it, but the color stood out ! I liked it alot!
Never seen it again though.
High energy with a good sense of rhythm and feel.
Love the gibson les paul special johnny thunders and gordie lewis played one for years
I’m 60 years old and was a keyboard guy forever. Family and work got in the way and music took a back seat. A few years ago I saw a kid playing a strat badly in a club and said to my friend, I could play better than that. So I got a cheap fender and amp combo and asked RUclips to teach me. That’s when I started watching you and another channel (James James). It took a while to get physically used to it and I clearly play guitar like a keyboard player but with time and patience I’ve gotten to a point where I can say I don’t completely suck. Thank you.
marty thank you so much for all your videos. I went from knowing nothing to writing music in 3 months with your videos😁
Would like a full video of the collection. Maybe make it like a 2 hours video I think that would be really cool to see!
Hey Marty thank you so much for being my inspiration and bringing me to life especially after being diagnosed...Really salute you my good friend 🔥🤘👍
I loved seeing all your Guitars Marty!
Kool video Marrrrty, had me rolln',, as usual.. (also learned something s', as well).
Thanks Brian !!!
Been waiting for this video for a while. It’s been years
I love the Les Paul 50s and Les Paul Jr, the Strats, the Tele, SG, J45
The Les Paul standard 50s and J45 standard are 2 of my dream guitars I want to own in the future
Woohoo! Candyman Strings and Things in Santa Fe, New Mexico!
I love that yellow tele
You are a legend Marty! Good lord! The amount of songs I have looked into from your vids. Thankyou so much.
Looking after so many guitars would love to know your care and maintenance routine
Yes! I just was wishing there was another one of these and here it is! Magic Marty…
First I would like to send you my condolences and say that you are a wonderful teacher, however I've been trying to learn "Angeles" by Elliott Smith but none of the other tutorials have the simplicity and charm that you have to teach me. So if it's not too much trouble, could you please teach us Angeles or some other Elliott Smith song? Thank you very much and I wish you the best.
I spent decades with mainly Pauls, Teles, and Strats. Then, a Core PRS (Custom 24 35th Anniversary) changed my world. Tappable to single-coils, double cutaway, and a trem -- like a Strat. Humbuckers and beautifully carved like a Paul (but SO much lighter). And, the clarity, sustain, and playability (of mine) surpassed them all.
I would love to see you get a Core PRS. I would like to know if it's able to change your world like it did mine.
Really enjoyed this. Thanks for posting it!
that 339 Epiphone is INCREDIBLE!!! I have one.
Hello from Brazil !
Learning back in black. Started playing it and my wife's head started nodding. She doesn't even know who acdc is. Thanks for all the help over the years.
Appreciate you Marty! You’ve been my instructor for so many years! Need a fedora collection vid next😂
Ha I'm glade your ok Marty enjoy watching your tutorials I'm still not ready for lessens yet I'm working on it
Peter Frampton's famous black Les Paul that was stolen back in the 70's, was gifted to him by someone. Frampton said he was playing, and the guy noticed the feedback he was getting was terrible, so he went home got the guitar and came back, and told him to give it a try. After the show Frampton asked him if he would be willing to sell it. The guy said "no, I want you to have it." 30 years after he thought it was burned up in a plane accident he finds out it was actually stolen from the crash. The present owner realized what it was, contacted Frampton and made arrangements to return it.
I love those TV yellow Les Paul specials🔥😍
The rubbing it in about the free guitarS was pretty mean! You/Marty deserve(s) it.
Dam it, you hit a chord in me.....love the mint fender, love um all. Go Marty Go
My favorite is your stunning Sheet Rock Grey Hot Water Heater Standard with the true copper hardware and Olympic White pickguard. Looks like a 2010 vintage, good year for that model.
Thanks Marty for your passion and your lessons.
Eric Krasno is an amazing player. I saw Phil Lesh in a tiny club a few years back and Eric was the only one on stage who could keep up with Phil.
Also I have the same sg. its a 2020 Gibson Sg Standard '61, with the Stoppard tailpiece (they made 3 different versions, some with vibrolas)
Nice!! Well I produced a Masterclass lesson series for Eric Krasno coming in a few weeks!!
You are amazing Marty..I love to watch your channel...very inspired guitarist teacher and patient...👍👍👍 Keep it up your amazing works..💪💪🙏
You're the greatest Marty.
They always banish us to the garage .
Beautiful collection Marty 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Boss Katana is like having an Amp collection, Band I am in plays a lot of Alt Rock/Pop stuff and I can do everything just using the 100W Katana twin, tbf if it was a Rock set, I would still use my Marshall, but the Katana is everything you need to Gig with, nice Axe collection, the pink star is very metal, I'd play that for shiggles!
this backdrop is kick ass keep it
I like and absolutely been subscribed. I'm gonna hit powerball and buy one of those. Imagine the money to achieve to meet this busy dude. I play the lottery and guitar sooooo I have a Sears and roebuck acoustic which the tiger king electric resembles the large fret and neck style of the build. Nice water heater my dude
Loving this funkedelic❣️
I’ve learned so many songs thank to you. Thank you Sir!🤙👊
The rock acoustic guitar is my dream guitar
Mr. Marty you a unique person you have an ausem personality and I enjoy your RUclips channel...Roland J Gutierrez from Magdalena New Mexico USA...
Thank you Mr. Marty I collect Squiers strats and guitar picks and pedals and the 80s fender system one tremello bridges I have a grip of system ones made in Germany
Intresting vid, thanks. I thought the talk might been a little low volume wise compared to the electic guitar sound. Thats something a noticed in a lot of guitarpods, guess its a bit tricky to adjust it to every ones taste and different circumstances.
im sorry but giving serious advice while holding that pink star guitar is just funny asf
HI !!!! MARTY l'm watching your viddeo you 're ONE great prof !!! l"m living europa france thank you MARTY
Congrats Marty on all your work👍
Gibson never called this colour TV yellow. Mostly called limed mahaghoni or limrd oak.
Your collection is amazing !!!
Speaking of Dave Mathews, have you thought about doing his newish song Singing from the WIndows?
Had to buy an rc1 cause of supply chain issues screwing wit chances of getting your looper ….well that and I forgot you had a looper when I finally decided (last night ) to get a replacement to the ditto I sold a few years back… honestly when I first saw Marty had a looper I really wanted one to support Marty and I needed one…but being so absent minded spacing out happens more often than I’d like 🙃… maybe down the road I’ll get one anyways , or another pedal from Schwartz inc.😜
it looks like you didn’t go relic on the water heater. good idea!
Hey Marty! Great guitars, could you possibly make a tutorial on 'Living in a Ghost Town' by The Rolling Stones? Thanks!
Awesome guitars and you rock at teaching,,thanks..
Well you know which one I like the best :)
Great vid, Marty!
……or…. It was Called tv yellow because Les and Mary Ford had an incredibly popular tv show and it looked just like the “guitar on TV” which was probably a Goldtop. Specials and TV models were the cheaper student guitars and professional musicians in 1955 would probably not have used them to the extent the finish was designed for tv
Heating up the hot water heater with tasty licks
6:40 Marty dissed Ryan’s guitar placement and receives instant karma by banging around his most sentimental guitar while picking it up, and also almost knocks his amp over 😂🤘🏼
do you think you could do a lesson on hendrix’s star spangled banner???
I traded my first Es335 for a PRS , just the opposite! Nice collection M, I need more acoustic’s! Only 8 electric 4 acoustic
You know the old answer to the question, HOW many guitars does a man need ? -Answer: Just 1 more !
