Wow! Kyle. Not gonna lie. I used to be a big gear head. Then I let the internet convince me that gear doesn't matter, downsize, tube amps are bleh, ect. When I followed all of that, I stopped writing music and stopped being inspired. (thats part of the reason i sold most of my tube amps down to one mesa mark.) Watching this has me currently rearranging my basement, digging out my camera gear, and getting ready to go to storage to grab my tubs of pedals and go be a kid again. Thanks man. I really needed this today.
There’s a rule for that: if there’s something you haven’t use it for 2 years or more, you simply don’t need it… you must have half million dollar equipment stuck in that house… sell it for people who need it , clear up the space and get focused in the gear you really like or use in a daly basis… i know it seems obvious solution but it must be in motion, otherwise you will continue feeding the wrong monster! Cheers!!
Not talking shit lol, but you could probably liquidate 2/3rds of the amps, cabs, and guitars and outfit a proper recording studio and upgrade your youtube production. For real though, I completely enjoy your channel.
Besides the gear, it's cool you showed a clip of you playing final fantasy 7, I'm playing the original one on my switch, I beat disc 1 a couple days ago, the games starting to get crazy plot wise
Hey dude! I hate to be that guy, but it was actually RE4 Remake that I was playing, lol. However, I do have FF7 remake locked and loaded on my PS5 if I ever find some time to play!
You’ve got a really cozy place man I like that basement and the sun room. Maybe even renting a storage unit and putting a lot of gear in it would do you a lot of good, you’ve got some good space to work with and turn into a great vibe
Sweetwater, please do not send this man anymore gear!! lol he won’t have any place to sleep!! Damn this is def an insane gear collection. You should open a guitar store!
23:50 Fun fact: years back when I was playing a lot, and owned much nicer and more expensive basses... most of the time, I turned to a cheap Peavey Foundation with the super ferrite pickups. I'd gotten it in partial trade on a deal, so it cost me something like... $100, with a hard case included. That bass never sounded "Oh my god amazing", but you *could not* make it sound Bad. Whatever strings. Whatever amp. Whatever speakers. Whatever room. It was always, at the minimum, pretty dang good. It was wild. Loaned it to a friend who got it stolen. :(
Aww, dude. I just noticed that you have that brass patina Pork Pie snare that I've been eyeballing for the past couple months. I want the 13x7" version so bad! I've been wanting to get a Black Beauty style snare for a while, and given that I mostly play 7x13" snares, that would blend seamlessly into my kit.. and the finish is fucking gorgeous, haha!
It's a cool snare. I have both the 8x14 and the 7x13. If I'm beiong totally honest, for the same money, I much prefer the Ludwig Universal black brass with the diecast hoops. Seems to be overall easier to tune and a little more controlled. But the PP is great as well
I agree with Kyle about how good the import guitars are getting. Give them a good setup and put some good pickups in them,..and you have yourself a great guitar in most cases. If I wasn't lefthanded, I would be selling my high-end, american made guitiars and buying a bunch of imports. Why have 4 high-end guitars when you can have 40 great imports for the same amount of money. hehe. But unfortunately, a lot of companies don't offer the import models I want in lefthanded versions. So I'll be sticking to my current arsenal. It is neat how our opinions change as we age. When I was younger, I wanted and dreamed about having Gibson guitars. After playing for over 30 years, I have several..but actually wouldn't mind going back to playing imports . They have become so good that high end guitars are almost a waste of money these days.
While I don't have even close to the amount of gear Kyle has, people have seen my collection and think I'm rich, but that couldn't be further from the truth. I've been collecting gear since I was a teenager.
I'm not sure if you'd be interested in this or not. However, could you review the Hellwin amp from Schecter? The amp may be hard to find though as it was discontinued. Unless if you could work something out with Schecter or through other connections. I thought it would be cool since there has only been a few videos on youtube about it. It'd be interesting on what you'd think of it.
You definitely weren't kidding when you said you had an insane collection, I'm not sure if insane is even an adequate description once you've reached this level. ( no shade intended ) I actually kinda feel like I should thank you, I stumbled across an amazing deal the other day and owning a seventh guitar seems far more reasonable all of a sudden.😅
First of all, I love your channel and I truly believe you get some of the greatest metal tones, I frequently A/B against your videos to make sure I’m on track when dialing in my amps. I could go on and on about the awesome videos, sweet gear and miscellaneous items in your collection. But dude, I hope I’m wrong, but I feel like I can see “the pain” in this video, the burden, the responsibility, the plans, etc. You often joke about hoarding, but we don’t often get to see the depths of your collection. I hope you’re feeling mentally well. Your personality is infectious and your sense of humor is great. So, from someone that doesn’t know a thing about you outside of these videos, I really hope you’re doing ok. Kindest regards.
Love it dude, I would love to bring my guitar over and try all those amps and speakers, but we may piss off the neighbors. Digging the direction of your ideas.
Out of all the equipment you have, I saw you have an old favorite amp I use to have, would love to have once again, is a Peavey Ultra 120. Saw it in the corner where you drum kit is. I'm envious.
Cool Cool 😎😎 I don't feel so bad now! Try one of those hotmods in the 900 2500 model. I had one of the original hotmods in one of those amps and it was a riot. Completely changed that amp in a great way.
Dude you have serious GAS issue😂😂 no just kidding here, awesome collection of stuff so jelous right now, all i have is 2 combo amps and 3 guitars and various pedals but most of time boss ME-50 is my choice if need fx😂 and my stuff are not even expensive... And dude please do a video of that Marshall MF350
love SIT, got my first set in like 08 & loved them. They would have been my go to but I was like fifteen and didn't have a debit card, so I had to use what I could get at gc.
My Schecter E1 Special Edition with block inlays, figured maple purple burst, Sustainiac and Apocalypse VI HH with a FLoyd 1500 and the CARBON FIBRE BINDING!! I want the green one too but have to sell off a few things The E1, Destroyer, and Kelly are my fave Z shapes for sure I would kill for a custom Dunable SIlverburst R2 with a Hot Rod Floyd and Sustainiac System. ALso the Squire Duncan Designed HUmbuckers on later 2000s for the Squier Jagmasters were pretty much exact SH4/Jazz SD clones!
Wow, what a collection! First off: Splawn Quickrod is #2 amp - which one was #1? I have not seen any Peavey 5150 MKII, nor the 6505 II - have you sold that one?! I'd imagine that after all, that would be your #1 amp. Also: what an insane collection, thanks for taking the time bringing us through! However, I have to be honest - kind of (almost) not envious. It looks to me like you have SO MUCH of it, that you actually have now problems enjoying the stuff you actually want to enjoy, because it's so cramped up. I guess venturing into the IR thing and ToneX packs will help you part ways with some of your gear - just make sure to get a proper cool workflow going from the get-go, eventually partner up with one of the bigger players in the IR market or at least have them come by and teach you the absolute best way to shoot those IRs. 🙂 Curious to see when it's gonna happen, and perhaps I am gonna be a #1 customer of yours when the time has come 😀
I got my recent SUB for $160, my Squire Classic Vibe 70s P-Bass and Vintage Modified PJ feel better than my Mexican Fender P Bass. Oh those Duncan Design jazz pick ups are really good, they tuned my okd Affinity Pbass into a tone monster
There are Carvin cabs, but no Legacy head and cab. Same for the 2x12+15 cab, but it is not a Rivera with a Knucklehead Reverb on top. And finally, get some Fender amps. No matter how modern and high gain an amp is, it still does not compare to a tube Fender to be used as a clean channel platform for a variety of drive pedals, so you can really hear them sound. Also, for a collection and studio sound variety, you are missing bass amps. For an idea, SWR are classics and a Sunn tube head monstrosity is at least a collectable one.
I vome from a telecommunications background, new to guitars/audio stuff. Did not realize Bogner made audio equipment. Stands to reason tho, they make broadcast antennas, which is hiw im familiar with the name

You need to turn this into an Air BNB. I'd choose your place over Disneyland.
That's actually a really great/bad idea.lol Great part is letting respectful people spend a couple days.Bad part is dumb dumbs messing up the gear.👍
hahahahha yes! I was just thinking the same thing dude!
Insurance claims could actually improve your margins...
Yes !!
@@denverrandy7143Yeah, there's no way I'd let anyone use my gear without me around, I barely trust myself to use it 😂
Go into a guitar center and you’re unlikely to find anything you like. Go to Kyle’s house and you’re unlikely to find anything you dislike.
Wow!
Kyle. Not gonna lie. I used to be a big gear head. Then I let the internet convince me that gear doesn't matter, downsize, tube amps are bleh, ect. Don't listen to those nerds, gear is half the fun!
@@erikwagonblott3334 Absolutely, collecting gear and finding pieces you really love is such an enjoyable part of the hobby for me.
Same. I had about 50 and took it down to a Mark IV, Deliverance and QuickRod. Now I'm back up to about 20 amps in the last 6 months.
I love getting new gear, I always get really inspired and come up with new stuff.
Damn bro did too lol
You have more amps than sweetwater has in stock!
No Bull music store 😂
Crazy guitars, comfy-to-crazy chairs💖
With such an extensive collection, I would love to see you make a video with your top five combinations of guitar+head+cab.
@8:32 You could recreate that meme with one white guitar on the couch and five black guitars behind it.
😭😭😭😭😭😭
Besides the gear, it's cool you showed a clip of you playing final fantasy 7, I'm playing the original one on my switch, I beat disc 1 a couple days ago, the games starting to get crazy plot wise

Has Kyle addressed how he went from homeless to buying a new $4000 amp every other day?
Dude. I have a silverbust agile from back when they did custom builds.
Upgraded it and it's a workhorse.
This dude has more Amps & cabs than I have clothes & underwear! Let alone my guitars & amps 😂
15:29 I feel that. I recently got a PRS SE Customer 24 and I love it. My most expensive guitar is my Epiphone MKH Les Paul in bone white.
You should submit this to Fluff’s rate or roast my rig

Jesus Christ that is a lot of f'ing gear. I won't go so far as to say it looks like a hoarders house, but it's like 3 purchases away haha.
Bro, as a CAD designer who sits in a chair all day, I may look into one of those flexispot chairs.
as a software engineer with spondylitis, having an awesome chair and a standing desk are a life saver

Insane collection-killer vid-thx Kyle we are so lucky to see your vids on RUclips
I'm lucky for people to watch!
Your comment about having new production gear hit home with me. I’ve got a modest 25 guitar collection that I call the AMS/Sweetwater collection.
Dude you’re right this collection is insane! Thanks for sharing.
When you gonna start a reverb shop? I see some stuff I want lol
was there supposed to be sound from your mic in that intro?
maaaaann.. you are definitely, extremely loaded with all those gear.. pretty handful..
While I don't have even close to the amount of gear Kyle has, people have seen my collection and think I'm rich, but that couldn't be further from the truth. I've been collecting gear since I was a teenager.
Damn I thought I was a big gear head - awesome collection of stuff dude!
You are a gear head. I am mentally unwell
Awesome guitar collection 👌 😊
OMG! And my wife gripes at me because I have 23 guitars. LOL.
I saw that bottle of urine... 😂
Just amazing! Kyle, you have established yourself as the world's authority in amps. Period!
Hold on! Hahaha!! Is this all from your RUclips channel?!
no, it's from me collecting for years.
I'm not sure if you'd be interested in this or not. However, could you review the Hellwin amp from Schecter? The amp may be hard to find though as it was discontinued. Been trying to track one down for a while. Very rare, not many out there
Love the description of the chair - lol felt like we were getting amp specs there.
Nice collection my dude. I have the space, dont have the Gear 🤣😂🤣. Very good video, all i hope is you keep up with the videos 🤘🤘🤘
Epiphone Les Paul Custom Silverburst was the first real guitar I ever bought, many years later I still love it! 🤘

Wow! Impressive collection!
I nhave never seen a snare drum sink before? How often do you have to wash your snare drums?
I was not prepared for all those amps LOL. They just kept on appearing
think you need to hire a live in guitar nanny for keeping everything maintained
Downtime's first paying gig Mushmouth got us on was Opening for MadBall in 94 for Set it Off.. I love the Chadball T!
Kyle has more gear than some guitar stores. Do we need an intervention? My guy has a hoarding problem 😂
you have more gear than my locan guitar store hahaha. I love it!
Kyle has everything from the AxeFX but IRL 😎. What a collection.

you have more inventory than a few local shops combined here in Chicago lol.
What would happen if you plugged in every amp and cab at once and played an open E power chord
The main breaker would trip lol
@@christopherward4671 Just get rid of the breakers and wire direct to the poles, it's better that way
The hot mod standard wire works in the Orange OR 30. David just confirmed it for me. You should try that out.
This is insane!!! But so freaking dope! Where are the original boxes for everything?😂😂
Would be nice to have a review of the Blackstar cab with the G12-80's in it.
the duality is my favorite overdrive pedal after everything i have tried !!

Not that you need more gear but hopefully you get to try out the litchlaerm speakers. They sound awesome in the one demo I’ve heard so far
My favorite piece of gear is the Arm & Hammer laundry detergent.
You have the gear/inventory to open one of the greatest guitar/music stores in the land.
SIT is right around the corner from me. Great NE Ohio company. Used to be endorsed by them back in the day. Good folk
I had no idea that you have so many amps, that insane!
Your ready to open your very own guitar store.
I wonder if you hooked everything up and played it all at once if it could be heard all up and down the Eastern seaboard

all of them. They are all my children
