Face reveal be like
💀
That was technically a face reveal 👀
Hi can you make head sculpting course. Thank you
Great content in this video, but really appreciate the quality of the production. The animated overlays are amazing and really help present what you are discussing.
Glad to know it helps!
I've just got back into digital art, and started learning to sculpt just 3 days ago! Absolutely perfect timing Yan, love the videos.
Thanks :)
That's great, I hope you do more of those.
I have a basic understanding of anatomy, but I struggle with breaking the elements into primary or secondary forms like you do.
It's really helpful to have this kind of guidelines to follow.
I've always struggled with anatomy and proportions, but using this video as a starting point I managed to make a recognizable human skull! I really appreciate how you simplify explanations and focus only on larger structures instead of cramming the crazy names of every little bone like so many do
I love all your sculpts but this is probably your best video yet, your explanation is really good and clear and thorough, and the demonstration was excellent. Thanks!
cheers
wow, one of the best and simplest explanations of anatomy I have ever seen.
Glad to see you back man, you inspired me to start making videos as well :D
The much needed explanation, thank you!
Glad to see you releasing videos again mate! Welcome back :)
Thank u
I think after watching this, I'm finally closer to actually understanding how one would practice anatomy.
I've been motivated quite a few times to learn anatomy and tried reading and watching material about it, but I never understood how I was supposed to start learning it.
I'm think I'm a bit closer to understanding.
Thanks
Phenomenal video! Thank you so much for starting this series!! I hope this video leads to many more like it in the future
Working on more
Outstanding tutorial, thank you.
looking forward to more of these, fantastic all around.
This is a super helpful video on all levels! 👏👏👏
Thnx Yan!! Fundamentals are key. Appreciate the breakdown 😸
Very good teaching, thank you.
Welcome
really happy to see u back this week.
Thanks a lot for this very complete tutorial
No shot that the day I go hard on head practice this videos released. Must be my calling
I've been drawing the skull for a while now and I still don't fully understand how to construct it but your video really clarified it for me because I can see the skull in 3d,
Really helpful 👍
Glad the video helped ;)
Very helpful video!
this is incredibley helpfulll!
Very good educational video +rep🙌
I think you may be the best so far at explaining anatomy, process and showing how to do it. This video has more in 11 minutes then tutorials in that just show process and nothing else in 1-3 parts. cant wait for next one
Thanks!
Good to see you back ! Your videos makes me swap back to learning on blender from zbrush.
Currently learning sculpting on zbrush. but i learned 3d on blender so it just makes me wanna go back to blender
Great perspective tutorial. It's important to take what you leanred and watch other videos about it too and just feel the dopamine of guessing what they're gonna say because you learned it from other videos. Personally that's what helps solidify it within my own mind.
Wow, just wow, this will really helpful. Thanks
Welcome!
This is great, thank you!
welcome!
Amazing!! Thank you !
My pleasure!
Thanks! This was great.
Glad it was helpful!
thank you, its great tutorial
You are welcome!🤗
7:55 those planes are cool too!
drawing a mesh on top of reference can also help to visualize, how the 3d mesh is going to look
Great 👍🩺♥️
Thanks for this, its very helpful
Welcome!
I have been an artist for my whole life now, I'm so into character design, comics, 2D animation but now I want to do a step up and learn 3D modelling/animation! It's been three months I'm using blender and your videos are what inspired me the most! I hope you'll be able to teach us more stuff here on RUclips. Also may I ask what device are you working on? Thank you and I absolutely ADORE your work!!
dope!
tnx a lot
Ready to follow this tutorial and make the Elephant man. Nice
Nice vid Yan. Cool cat too
Thanks x)
maximum nice :) thankU
Hey! Welcome back!!!
Thanks !
Wow, this was very informative. Im looking forward to seeing more of this. I wonder, are you planning on making a more elaborate lesson on gumroad?
More will come. I already have an anatomy course on Gumroad btw
Cool
Mate, 3 days ago i so this video and got myself a Huion tablet (basucally because of you lol). I got the Kamvas 22 Plus as i am getting into modeling and totally love it.
Just as a side note, place your affiliate link for the tablet in your description because i've spend like 20min trying to figure out what brand tablet you're using so i can get one.
Anyway, great videos and your explenation about how to model helps a lot :)
Just a heads up I would highly recommend touch view for blender if your not using it, it’s a awesome free add on for controlling the view port and has mimalistic shortcuts, also gets updates a lot
Not an addon dude but will keep that in mind!
this gonna help me make a pilot for my boeing 737-800 thx so much
Really great tutorial, thanks. I'll deviate a little from the main topic to ask you how did you make the annotation lines animation @ 5:33 ?
A very beautiful cat 🥰
i can feel my skull now
I am just learning how to use sculpt, and i am unsure on how to use the tools.
It would be awesome if you could do a tutorial similar to blender guru on sculpting with the tools. could you do a series like that showing how to use the tools?
The tools seem hard to use only because i am not sure how to use the strength very well.
I didn't really watch his series, either way i plan to make tutorials, the format is still being considered ;)
This is awesome! Great job! When do I retopologize?
huh?
@@yansculpts This doesn't involve retopology?
@@omerrudnick8195 To my knowledge, you'd do retopology after you've finished the sculpt completely, then you'd do baking
Does the anatomy course contain the step-by-step sculpture of this skull?
spooki skull
Would you recommend fully mastering each stage before moving onto the next, or go through stages one through four, several times, until you master those before moving onto stage five?
Another question is: How do you flatten parts out so easily?
Hey there SoulSphere!
So learning anything is a cumulative process; trying to master each stage would probably drive you insane so id recommend working and completing each stage (not mastering it) then moving on to something else like composition (for example) then anatomy, then shading etc etc. when you come back to the skull youll realise youre not so great at expressions (again, for example) so youll then try and complete that stage and learn something new.
Trying to learn everything at once is like trying to carry all your luggage through an airport by hand, it might work but youll probably break your back trying and drop and lose things on the way... So take it one step at a time and before you know it youll have reached youre destination with all your faculties in order.
As for flattening i dont really use blender to sculpt so i cant help you there... but if you use zbrush theres the hpolish and trim smooth brushes
PS
you should come back to each stage when you feel the need to; its something all artists do; you cant master anything in a few weeks, its usually a looooong long time for mastery...

Thank you for the comment.
how you made the description animation to the model ?
Really great video. Do you mix between Dyntopo and Multires?
I mostly use remesh
Trying to sculpt that thing is liking dying in dark souls over and over again Resulting frustration and It looks not that hard. But the execution gave me not the same feeling.
Its not Critic or something. Its just Anatomy is just very difficult let alone drawing it.
Awesome explanation by the way.
If i may give critic A bit loud Transition Glitch sound effect.
I assume this is a (Anatomy beginner,) Not a sculpting beginner Tut🙂
Anyway Thanks for this Amazing vid
What is the monitor you are using ?
This is super helpful! Btw did you take down your character recordings from Gumroad? I was planning on purchasing but only see the fundamentals tutorials
I am planning new stuff there ;)
@@yansculpts gotcha! Looking forward to it!
please make the next antomy vide please please pleaseeeeee
The coolest thing was the angle of the mandible
dunno why, just like it
Hi great work
What equipment you use?
Can you share the model links please
there aren't links, i use pc and huoin
@@yansculpts no i meant the brand name or model number etc
what drawing tablet are you using?
I think with my lack of knowledge and experience with sculpting, I would've gotten to 250,000 vertices from step one haha. Great content by the way! :)
Quick question though, is that pen useful for sculpting or is it the same as using the mouse?
Useful, tablets have pressure sensitivity
@@yansculpts I see. Could you tell me the products you used?
I know the basics, but what is the name of the application and is it available on the iPad?
How long did it take you to complete L1 to L5?
Great and really helpful quick tutorial, ended with a floofy cat.
I have zero interest in sculpting. But you are by far one of the best educators I’ve seen! You piqued my interest in sculpting and i would love to learn more. Subscribed 🤍
what is your set up?
Any tips for someone with literally no art experience at all? I would love to get into this, but I'm curious if I need to learn to draw or anything before I dive in the deep end
Start. Really just start, learn as you go, research while you sculpt, the hardest part is to start. Drawing helps but many sculptors don’t draw
@@yansculpts Awesome, thanks for the response! I’m very intimidated but let’s see where this goes! Do you have a discord server or anything for people learning sculpting?
How did you add the information and grid over the objects?
Grease pencil
@@yansculpts Bless you
👍
What is the name of the tablet
@yanculpts Please upload the skull model on Sketchfab, so we can use it as reference for creating our own characters. :)
I will post more tutorials here instead ;)
look up real skull images though, that is really helpful when practicing!
@@yansculpts Alright I'll do that & I'll keep an eye on your tutorials as well. :)
Hey Yan ! I purchased your course 4 days ago...I see there is a content that should be paid but, I am also curious why you always show yourself creating eyebrows but why in the course there is not a single video that is showing how to create eyebrows
Hey! Send me an email for questions on the course, and a bit more information like which course are you talking about. You can also check tifa walkthrough on the channel for how i do the eyebrows!
Is this part of your anatomy course?
No the course has it's own content!
how mach cast bro character creation
Huh?
How to use touch pen in blended. Am unable to use.
More info please
@@yansculpts I am using hp x360 touch screen laptop I want to use blender by touch pen but am not comfortable like you.
did you get used to it since?
i just noticed that you have little front and side views between your outliner and properties o.o
Yeah just a split window of the 3D viewport
stage 1 is suffering
Great content!
But when I see things like that it sounds to me like "How to draw a horse: first, draw a unicorn. Second, erase the horn."
(That's because I'm a noob)
I did explain stuff here though, what didn’t you get?
Sure, you did. It's not about you, it's about me. As I said, I'm a newbie, and when it comes to putting into practice what I've learned, things don't come out as I expected. But you explained everything well!
First comment
maybe show or name the keys you are pressing .. would be kinda of helpful since you are rushing in 5 mins through the act
You are focusing on the wrong things, if you are new check a beginner tutorial on using blender tools first it will help understand these things. Best of luck !
Just realized that the Orbits are shaped like Aviators 😂
💀
Hi @Yansculpt , really cool video bro, love u ;)
lol where is tha reference photo
When using a image from google i find it hard 2 keep photo proportional also background of photo is an issue
I am not the only one that touched themselves while watching this, right?
(get your head out of the gutter)
sculpt jackie chan and make it as a download
oof tall request!
Why don’t you use zbrush?
ruclips.net/video/rogLNKoohk4/видео.html&ab_channel=YanSculpts
Good video but use a 3D scanned skull from a real human being next time.
Cool
