Great video, absolutely love the end result! However as I was following along to learn more about sculpting and just getting a starting base for my own thing, I noticed the Symmetrize tool in the sculpt space wouldn't work for me, no matter what I tried. It wasn't too big of a deal for me as I did want the arms to have separate poses/detailing, but I'm concerned that it'll happen again when I actually need/want it to work. yes! Look up object origin point, that should be in the center, if you still can't figure it out come to one of my lives and ask the question, ill show
I love your content Yan, I use ZBrush to sculpt characters and your videos help me a lot to learn and improve! Soon I would like to learn how to use Blender, and I wanted to ask you about how in minute 3:00 you can work the facial features symmetrically even though the model's face is not symmetrically oriented. Usually I first make the face from the front with symetry and once finished I rotate it. I would like to be able to sculpt directly in 3/4 while keeping the symmetry on so I can have a better view of the model and it's general pose. So how do you do it? its a blender feature? or there is something more that I'm missing? P.S: I love how this chaarcter ended up looking
Thanks! The symmetry takes into account the origin point. If you move the object and or rotate it in object mode (not edit mode), the origin point follows, so symmetry does as well.
