We did half of their navy in 1988's "Operation Praying Mantis". It took all of 8 hrs. I think we're up for the challenge. Afterall, there are 24 hrs. in a day.
The first half is easy, though. Completing the job is a lot more complex. Destroying operational capability as a target rather than destroying all the assets is much more plausible.
I mean during the operation praying mantis, it was a coincidence and luck because the Iranian was dumb enough to come at fleet group and get wreck in the process despite the American didn't even consider them as a target.
Yeah, also a few sea platforms were destroyed too, there's a channel that does animated battle maps, they did a video on operation praying mantis and its really good: ruclips.net/video/5ihmIxZtMBQ/видео.htmlsi=Vhtkay2XyDaUE80Z
@@anggisuwandi2404sure but technology has a huge gap since 1980s. Iran has had some upgrades but majority of their technology is stuck in mid 90s MAYBE some early 2000s at most with limited use and with no experience at all in military logistics and command during a chaotic attack. US gap from 1980s to now is tremendous from stealth aircraft, missiles, far superior satellite sensors, surface to surface, surface to air, air to surface weapons have come a huge way and most important communications/command. If Iran has adapted their tactics the US will spot it easily and adapt. Maybe it won’t go the way it went in 1980s but the kill ration between the 2 will still be 10:1 easily
VIEWERS just so you know why I was so pssed off when making this video: 1) We only get a 2 hour window to film these WarGames, when I can get all of the boys together. 2) Google Drive packed up so I couldn't get latest version of a mod to the boys, which ate up 30 minutes. 3) When we did get going, the Sweden server packed up 15 minutes into the mission and never came back online. 4) Went to PLAN B and I hosted a server, which immediately crashed and put us all back to square 1. 5) Went to PLAN C and used the Japan server. 6) Finally got mission going 70 minutes late and made it to combat area. Mine and Simba's F-15E proceded to get bugged/desynced so that neither of us could guide bombs onto target. 7) For the guys that could guide the bombs to target, when I viewed the bombs they de-synced so it appears that they missed the targets. 8) When guys finally did find a way of getting bombs onto the targets, each 500lbs GBU-12 direct hit only did 15% damage to a 1500ton Caslte Class Patrol Boat. 9) At that point we ran out of time, and that was all I could handle.
No worries Cap. The developers need to focus on core-game bugs and stability, especially multiplayer ground game and combined arms. They've needed to for years but they prefer to focus on the early-access modules that make a quick buck. They need to realize that people experience these bugs and watch RUclipsrs experience these bugs, it hurts their image and sales. The mission we flew for my son, Operation BoomBoom, was nearly ruined by the multicrew bugs. Razbam jets traditionally need to bake for YEARS in early access before they are ready.

You should put some angle into your GBU drops, if you're level they might not pitch down enough to keep the target in view of the sensor. Maybe a 30 degree dive with the GBU's having a point track while pointing at (just above) the target? You should find gbu-bombing to be more effective with dives and the gbu having a point track on the laser prior to release. After release you can get some of your altitude back while keeping track depending on aircraft and t-pod model
My suggestion is based on comments from a Royal Navy FB group. They are continually posting that in the 50s and 60s Britain had a "real navy". My question is: could the modern British navy defeat the 1950s or 1960s navy given their larger size? Probably impossible to model the entire navies, but maybe representative samples?
