The way many people are trying and struggling so hard to make the “perfect” Tempered Chocolate as that is the chocolate used for the Dubai chocolate, here we have Naomi simply coating it with regular chocolate, sometimes the simple route is just enough.
I get what u meant but both kinds are “regular” chocolate there’s no difference in the chocolate itself it’s in the way you melt it. (I’m sure you know this just adding for anyone confused)
There are two types of chocolate: couverture chocolate (aka real chocolate, made with cocoa butter) and compound chocolate (aka fake chocolate, made with vegetable fat). Compound chocolate doesn't need to be tempered, so she may have used that, but it's also possible the chocolate is still cold so it set nicely lol
OR maybe, just maybe..the chocolate sold in the stores Is already tempered, cause it is part of the production process. We have an abundance of chocolate in Germany, btw and really good stuff, from cheap to dynamic organic fairtrade, handmade confiserie chocolates.
@@terrapax8554nope, tempering describes the way you carefully melt the chocolate with the right temperature at every step so its not dull, shiny and doesnt melt directly. once you melt the chocolate again, its completely gone. its pretty obvious that you can temper any chocolate if you just remelt it yourself and that the production process doesnt matter. we have amazing chocolate in germany, but your argument made no sense. it cannot be because of the "production process" nonetheless i didnt think her chocolate looked tempered right at all, you can melt choc and re-form it in any shape and way without taking care of anything other than not burning it, even the dubai chocolate is just fucking chocolate and as easy to make as hers seemed
@@terrapax8554that’s not how that works. The chocolate topping on the banana pudding sounds like ganache, but the ratio was off. Standard is 1:1 chocolate-to-cream by weight, add more chocolate if you want it to set firmer. Just heat the cream, then pour it into a bowl with the chopped chocolate and let it melt a few minutes before stirring to fully combine ✨

The chocolate sauce you made for the banana pudding I would recommend melting the chocolate first over a water bath and slowly add in the cream until you get the consistency youd like, thats how I do mine I hope that helps :)
For a good "Ganache" (on the Banana-Pudding) there are different ways. It depents which chocolate you use. For Bitter-Chocholate use a 1:1 ratio. For Milkchocolate use 2:3 (3 for the Chocolate). For white Chocolate use double the amount of creme :) and boil the creme and add it to the chocolate. It will melt the right way. No need to heat it in the pot. If you want you can whisk it up as soon as it`s cool (fridge cold!) - this will give you whipped-chocolate-fluffy-goodness and can be used as cake filling etc.
yes 1:1 ratio for dark choco and cream would be the perfect consistency for this dessert, also you need to refrigerate it for at least 6 hours for ganache to set.
