One thing I absolutely love about you is that try to you mimic the cooking videos to a T! You focus on every single detail, and you're nothing like others who just do their own thing.
Watching a cooking channel is like food therapy-except instead of feeling full, I end up feeling inspired... and a little hungry! The best part? They make everything look so easy, but when I try, it’s a perfect recipe for chaos. Who knew a pinch of salt could turn into an accidental avalanche?
Evaporated milk is a fantastic trick for mac and cheese. It's more milk per milk. Additional protein and everything helps it come together better, without adding more liquid. If for some reason you can't find evaporated milk, if you can also find powdered milk, you can just add some powdered milk to your normal milk. Again, it's more milk per milk.
Just a friendly comment from someone who learnt something the hard way: 1.- Putting hot items in the fridge makes the motor work harder and ruins the thermostat. 2.- Putting hot liquids without a cover in the fridge, creates condensation and causes water on the walls of the fridge and makes the freezer frost even when it's a no frost. 3.- Putting hot food in the fridge, ruins the food. Both the one you placed inside and the one that was already inside.
we actually used the recipe for the mac n cheese for my cooking class. the recipe was sort of altered and when i tell you THIS WAS DELICIOUS, IT. WAS. DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!
The mac and cheese recipe is a standard for soul food lol but the trick is to bake it covered for a couple of hours then the last 30 minutes add the top layer of cheese and bake uncovered. This prevents the top layer from burning and the inside to bake thoroughly. Hope that helps. (To make sure the noods aren't overdone don't boil them all the way. And boil with chicken stock and oregano for extra umph)
Back in the old days, we often used evaporated milk for added richness. Mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, sausage gravy. I have a six pack in my pantry because zombies 😄
Thanks for the video! I don’t have a TikTok for good reason lol but honestly honestly all I got from this was that a lot of those TikTok people went viral using other peoples’ recipes. You can find them online. And I’m pretty sure that’s what they did.
I’ve always put a good dollop of Dijon mustard in my Mac and cheese, along with a little powdered nutmeg. Throw some crispy bacon bits in there and it’s my idea of heaven! 😋
Honestly as a cheese lover, I might had just stopped it how it was in the pot. I don’t really like baking Mac and cheese myself and it looked good just like that lol

Would it taste better if you made the pesto with a mortar and pestle? I saw someone on RUclips say that it's just blendo if its made in a blender, and it supposedly doesn't taste as good
It's probably better. But I can tell you as an italian my mom does it like the one in the video (quantities are a little off but it's fine, just adjust until it's like you want) It's way faster than doing It with a mortar and pestle The only thing i would change is when to add it. Do NOT cook your pesto, pour it after the pasta is cooked and mix well. Cooking pesto alters its taste and it gets worse.
only time i have to heavily disagree with you, I love tini's mac and cheese and she is a chef. she was on next level chef, you should try more of her recipes.
Not sure if you'll see this or anyone else, but my grandmother's baked Mac and cheese is my favorite. I do 3/4 cup of macaroni elbows, 1 package of Mac and cheese cheese, 1 egg 1/3 cup of milk. Basically you do a layer of macaroni, half the package of cheese, some of the egg and milk mixture last bit of the macaroni rest of the cheese and egg mixture, then cook for like 25-28 minutes at 380f
Anything is delicious with toast tortilla…and you can never go wrong with pesto with lots of parmesan and yes emily’s salmon is one of my favourite…keep on doing more videos please ❤❤❤❤
I really love that you are being more true to the Tiktok content that you are trying. Now if you could bring that mindfulness to the gadgets that you test, it would be perfect!
I love how the salmon and Mac&Cheese are things I have been making this way for years.... Funny how everything old is new again.... Add sauteed onions, mushrooms and bacon to the Mac&Cheese- it cuts the cheese heaviness down.
As an Italian, I am of the belief that there is no such thing as too much cheese! I would definitely have changed the colby jack since it is no my favorite cheese. I'd use gouda or parmesan.
I think this video of your is useful because the viewer get a lot of recipe after watching, and does viewer can show of what they have learned from this video. thank for your sharing ❤❤
@@honeysuckleIt’s amazing some of these TikTok videos have very likable food. When it works, they deserve those views and praise. When it doesn’t, though, it’s open season😂
Omg the oil you use is amazing it is Phenomenal I use it all the time when I cook and if I had that mac n cheese my stomach would not handle that much cheese and you are also my favorite person in the world ❤❤❤
It's just a decent quality olive oil at almost twice the price of an equivalent you can find at your local store. Why else do you think they'd have so much money to throw around to sponsor countless people? Having the script say it's "affordable" is the biggest joke I've heard. For that quality oil, it's not affordable, it's a premium price. But hey, it comes in a squeeze bottle, and they threw money at TikTokers and had them skirt sponsorship laws, so it clearly must be great! /s
I made Tiney Mac n cheese …. Don’t do it!! It was so expensive and even my kids were like “it’s too much cheese!!” its not even good and you won’t poop for a week
I make my mac and cheese almost the same way, but with less cheese. I'd have to take out a loan to afford that much cheese. I'm cooking for only myself so it's affordable. Dijon mustard is a must imo. Now I want to try the olive oils. I'm going to see if they ship to Canada, I haven't found one yet that I really like the taste of. I'm willing to pay a premium though for a premium product and those oils sound primo! Edit: such a great price with your discount, Dzung, but sadly they don't ship to 🇨🇦😢
I do the last one but i smash cornflakes and i use yogurt imstead of egg and i put mine in airfryer and its so nice i use smoked pep garlic gran on the chicken so nice
Videos like this just reinforce why I will never get or understand TikTok. These people get millions of views (and loads of $$$) for making things that are not original or new. Cotton Candy ice cream? Salmon baked with lemon, butter and garlic? Pesto?!!? At least a few of the recipes were somewhat original, like the pickle guac on the spicy tortilla (although I've seen pickle guac before, just not on a spicy tortilla).
Your Nara Smith impression was VERY on point. Thought your choice of ensemble worked as well! 10/10

More milk per milk 10/10
More milk per milk per milk more milk therefore per milk more milk.

My family of cheese addicts loves that mac and cheese 😂 I would love to see/ hear how your kids react to some of these dishes!

Bake the Mac and cheese covered for a couple of hours? Like actually keep it in the oven at 350 degrees? I’m just curious to try

It is so amazing to me that so many young people get so many accolades for making the dishes us older women made and fed them years ago.
TikTok loves to pretend it invents stuff that's been around for literal decades.
I can't tell if you're sarcastic or not 😅
