  • I wore a CGM (continuous glucose monitor) for 30 days and did more food experiments than you can shake a stick at. And what I found shocked me.
Watch this video to discover how you can make ANY food healthy and why the way you're eating now is at the root cause of why you're always feeling tired, struggle to lose weight and even sleep poorly.

Can’t wait for the green smoothie tips… I’ve been doing them regularly since the first episodes of breaking free from the human zoo and I don’t know what is more satisfying when drinking it: All of mother earths bests nutrients streaming into my body…. OR the disgusted looks on and sassy comments of all the people watching you drink it (but actually subconsciously envying you because they won’t do it themselves) 😂

This inspired me to make a smoothie yesterday. I also look forward to more tips on how to make great smoothies. This seems to mesh well with what I've learned from Dr. Jason Fung on isulin resistance.

I experienced a sugar crash recently. Ironically I bought that cup of tea because I wanted to give myself a caffeine boost. Similar to what Shane had experienced on his road trip, I was so sleepy that I lost focus and had to get into bed. I thought I was having some sort of post-covid side effect (lol sorry virus), then I just suddenly realized it was a sugar crash because of that tea!

It's crazy how strong the effect of sugar can be!

Shane and Abhi - Another home run! Thanks for posting this entertaining and informative video. I'm going to have to look up Casey Means and his thoughts on that double glucose spike. I'm speculating that it may indicate you're insulin sensitive? Perhaps your blood glucose responds well to the insulin that gets released, then your blood glucose goes a little too low and you release more glucose (probably from glycogen stores in the liver), which are also quickly dispatched with the second insulin release.

Interesting! I'd like to understand more about this too. Especially since it was sometimes two, sometimes one wave.

@@shane.melaugh One way to approach this 2 spike vs. 1 glucose spike puzzle would be to see if there’s any sort of pattern, based on how long it’s been since you’ve eaten and if you’ve recently exercised. If it’s been more than 12-16 hours OR if you just got done with an intense workout, then I would predict you might only have 1 spike. Great opportunity to test.

Basically, the answer is no. Unless you like to mix lots of things. It's is like "can I still enjoy a chocolate?" and one answered, "sure! Throw it into a mixer, add broccoli, brussels sprouts, vinegar and ta-da! Enjoy your chocolate!".

I thought this too but then I wondered if there is any difference if you eat the junk food first and then immediately consume the healthy concoction.

It's just that I've leveled up my smoothie game so far. The croissant smoothie was supposed to be gross and get a funny reaction. But it seems I can't make a bad smoothie anymore.
