    This is SO INTERESTING!!!! I have been suffering with severe acne since I was 14. It went away when I was 16 due to contraception that I can no longer take, and for the PSG year it’s been a constant battle which I don’t seem to be winning.
    I remember when I drank oat milk (with porridge, which in hindsight was a disaster of a combination for me) this time last year, my skin started going crazy! I have since reintroduced porridge as my breakfast of choice balance I love it so much, but it doesn’t matter how balanced it is, my skin is the worst it has ever been - I will be taking this into account as well as the eating protein first recommendation.
    Your videos are amazing, I would love to see some fruits such as berries, oranges and apples. Also wholegrain toast, white potatoes, grains in general and just plain old sweets / crisps!
    I would love it if you could talk about how to level out the blood sugar after a spike, as I’ve gotten into a bad snacking habit even though all my meals are balanced and healthy. I can’t seem to shake my acne I would love your advice!
    Thank you for all your videos they’re always so entertaining and informative 💖💖💖

    As a type 2 diabetic this video was very insightful. I wear a cgm everyday. This video made me realize I am way to hard on myself. I have been beating myself up every time I am not glued to 100mg/dl.

    Interested in dates, bananas, mango. Also whole wheat grains and milk/cheese. And honey, agave, maple syrup. Also interested in hearing about how your acne did during these spikes.

    I would like to see more fruits, a green juice, nuts, beans, avocado, tortillas, and different things like that!
    Great video, thanks it was so informative!

    Very interesting experiment! Please test out in the future: more fruits, whole grain bread (eaten alone or with nut butter), goat and/or lactose free dairy ( supposed to be less insulinogenic?) and eating fat (ex. nuts) before a meal instead of protein.

    So interesting!
    Can you try fruits separately like banana and kiwi? As well as porridge type of breakfast? Could you try as well some gluten free pasta like lentils or chickpeas pasta (I am being gluten free and vegan because I try to limit the trigger for my acne) ? I always wondered if they were bad or not for me even though they aren’t gluten ! Could you also try honey? Thank you so so much! Love you videos !

    Paleo diet is the best for skin and digestion (my experience)….no sugar no grains no dairy no gluten…..But its very difficult 😳🙏🏻 oatmeal is a nightmare for my skin 😱 Very interesting vidéo ❤️

    Hello ebony. Can i request you to experiment the glucose goddess hacks, by using them before overeating sugary desserts like too much cake or too much ice cream or too much donut.
    I just want to know if the hacks will still prevent glucose spike even when a person will overeat sugary stuff.
    Hoping you could grace this request. Thank you!

    Someone on the internet said that BG is half of the story. She said that insulin levels are another part of the puzzle. So even if we don't spike our BG we could still be spiking our insulin.

      In order to have a health blood glucose response you have to support insulin sensitivity so to me the 2 are always connected together it is never 1 or the other

    Please test banana, apple and blueberries separately!

    • @200Nora
      @200Nora 10 месяцев назад

      Bananas will spike most people to a different levels from 130mg/dl up one banana. It also has to take into account the ripeness of the fruit a small apple is no too bad a spike and blueberries 1/4 cup causes almost no spikes at all. This is true for most people, but the metabolism is unique to each individual, diabetic or not. Eating fruits with fats (peanut butter, etc) and proteins will decrease the spikes. Tropical fruits are the worst when it comes to blood sugar spikes.

    So you practically always wake up with 105 mg/dl. It's prediabetic range.

      I know so glad I did that test because since then I have worked on my blood sugars consistently and feel like a different person now to back when I did this video! It was so interesting and such an eye opener

      @@EbonyJaneNutrition I ended up here because I've been waking up for a while now with blood sugar level near 100. It would be nice to see how your situation has changed. Have you ever had a hba1c test?

    This is interesting. Did u notice acne after the days where you spiked higher? I’m a bit confused about the issue in ‘passing the threshold.’ I would appreciate more information on this. I know that for me, attempting to eat in a way that avoids spikes would create a lot of food rules and I don’t want to fall into any disordered eating habits.

    • @EbonyJaneNutrition
      @EbonyJaneNutrition  2 года назад +2

      Oh Rose I totally know what you mean about the food rules! I will speak about this in part 2! Very valid point and I can see exactly what you mean. I think the objective is to try to learn more about your body and what it responds best, to improve your glucose balance and response, not to never have a spike because that would not be realistic in my opinion because life is also there to live! I will defo speak on this in the next video :)
      Yes I will explain the threshold better next time too essentially you want to avoid spikes over 140 I will try and find a link with more information on this tomorrow and post it to you so you can have more information on this :)
      With the acne I have broken out a little bit especially towards the end of the 14 days but also some of these foods are definitely not normal foods in my diet so that could also be a factor ❤️❤️
