You mentioned you went to India. I presume it’s Mangalore which is my home too. One sitting in the west cannot imagine the freshness veggies are sold here. Mangaloreans aren’t aware of what you guys are saying, yet for centuries they’ve been following the right diet and are healthy

    Takeaways:
    1. Start ur day with savoury breakfast ( never with any kind of sweet not even fruits)
    2. Ear ur lunch & dinner in order of fibre protein fat carb dessert (if any)
    3. Never eat ur carbs naked
    4. Sugar cook your body from inside so avoid it almost
    5. Before ur meal ( containg carb) drink vinegar in diluted form
    6. Post eating always move your muscles ( even light excercises will do ) for atleast 10 mins
    7. Lack of sleep puts extra exaggeration in body demanding for carbs and excess carbs lead to poor sleep. Do not fall in the vicious circle, avoid sugar particularly when u are out of sleep.
    8. Avoid all forms of processed food even breakfast cereals
    9. Whenever eating something for snacks like pastries or ice cream or chips or cookies to satisfy taste buds etc ( occasionally) always eat first some protein/fibre/fat/dahi/almond etc
    10. Eating fruits after meals get fermented in body is an urban myth. Don't go by it. Infact it saves you from unhealthy dessert post meals. Feel free to eat whole fruits as dessert post meals.
Thanks J&J for amazing & informative podcast. Would be waiting for part 2.

I watched this video on Tuesday or Wednesday. I started implementing the hacks- savoury bf, apple cider in my salad before lunch, food order, no more oat milk cappuccinos, greek yoghurt before any sweets... and today, by Sunday, I haven't had a crazy sugar craving or drop in my energy (the contrary). I'm mindblown, and I'm obsessed with the Glucose Goddess. She should give talks at schools. I'm implementing these with my toddler (savoury breakfast and cutting down on sugars) to hopefully build good eating habits from the beginning. Thank you Jessie❤

About 2 months ago, I realized how much my diet was affecting my daily life, and I started cutting out processed sugars, replacing them with fruits and vegetables and I have noticed a huge difference already! I no longer feel chronic pain in my ovaries, and my overall mood and health has improved. There’s still more progress to be made, but thank you for this video, I’m definitely going to work on slowly implementing these changes. My current downfall is a sweet coffee after breakfast, so I’m trying to find the strength to cut that out

    my notes, love her!
    1. savoury breakfast over sweet ones
    2. eat veges first then your rice/bread/fruit. the order of the food matters and determines the glucose effect on your body
    3. have 1 tbsp of vinegar in a big glass of water before a meal thats high in card/sugar/starch or make vinegar as dressing for salad
vinegar contain acetic acid, if you have it before a meal, its gonna slow down how quickly food breaks down into glucose in your body = slow down digestion = fuller for longer = glucose arrive more slowly into your blood
    4. put clothing (protein/fat/fibre) on your carb/sugar, dont just eat it naked ie bread with avocado/cheese or almonds to cookies or greek yogurt

In 2023 I spent just over three months changing my Brothers lifestyle in order to reverse his dietary sugar overload. He was being told that he would need to be put onto insulin injections. Together we reversed the sugar levels from over 20 down to between 4.5 and 7.5, and since then he has the odd spike over 10. I somehow found your RUclips videos on glucose spikes and we have both included your hacks in our dietary lifestyles.
I have been carrying out controlled experiments on myself. I find after instigating your hacks over a period of four weeks, I have better mental health, I am losing fat, slimming down, not necessarily losing weight as muscle weighs more than fat.
    A huge thank you Jessie.

I have bad oral thrush but hope thus may ease soon, with sore tongue and cracks in corner of mouth, I know there are natural sugars in lots of foods, but am also, limiting those. My glucose test, after all night fasting was 6.6,. Also found that adding some Celtic sea-salt, a little, after years of no salt, has resulted in bringing my high bp right down. Amazing when drs tell you NO SALT - So good all round.

Also drink a tall glass of water before each meal. It helps you feel more satiated and prevents over eating. In our vedas, they say pani khane se pehle amrit hai, khane samaye Anand hai, khane ke turant baad zahar hai, khane ke ghanto baad bal hai. I agree with Jay about the food tasting better in India, since they are not highly processed. In the U S A, I felt if I was blind, I would not know what veggie I was eating since the flavor and aroma are missing.
My neighbor gave me a cucumber he grew over the summer in his garden. It gave me so much joy when I realized it tasted and smelled like the cucumbers I was used to, the ones that grew back home in our garden. I have since started growing tomatoes, chilies and cucumbers during the summer here. The flavor profile and aromas are so much better.

Vedas also point digestion as a fire - a whole glass of water can fully take that fire down. After that glass we need to wait at least half an hour to make that fire burn back. Or you can take warm water while eating but half a glass . That way you can fill up the stomach and help digestion. Water should be 1/3. Food 1/3. And air 1/3. For good digestion.

If I get weak and have something sweet in the afternoon, I can predict within an hour the next day that I will crave more sugar. It’s that predictable. No processed foods touch my lips. I make everything from scratch. Consume all goat products, certain veggies, grass fed meat, whole fruit, walnuts, pasture raised eggs, avocados, olive oil. I drink water, infused tea, goat based chocolate milk made from scratch, of course.
I exercise 4-6 days a week. My Instant pot is my friend. I use it 2-3 times a week.
In my 70s - no pain, no drugs, no smoking, no alcohol, no caffeine, no sugar, no grains - I enjoy life because I feel good. Oh, I do not eat past 4 PM. 5' 1" 110 lbs.
Hope is over-rated! I take life as is, learn and grow and pass it on. Knowledge is power. Once we know, we can change. ❤

I'm 28 years old, I discovered Jessie a few days ago and I've been watching her videos to educate myself. People like her motivate me even more to study nutrition. I started to implement some of her hacks, and have changed my way to do grocery shopping. I love how she's being a voice on this that's so important and yet we are not taught in school. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK !! Thank you for your research. Great interview Jay :)

Type 2 diabetic in January, A1C was 8.7. In April AIC was 6.6 getting way better, lost 15 lbs. Still working on lowering my A1C. I now look at how many carbs are listed on labels followed by fiber and subtract the fiber amount to get my net carbs. Carbs are killer. Generally having between 25-40 carbs a day. Progress is slow but headed in the right direction. Having a lighter evening meal and not snacking in the evening I’m seeing my morning fasting glucose levels dropping significantly. Trying to eat a more natural diet, if it’s in a box it’s probably processed and high in carbs.

I couldn't agree more on this. When I was in school everyone was thinking that I must be in college bcoz i was looking more aged than my age. So just for an experiment purpose I started reducing my sugar consumption. Now I'm 27 and everyone around me thinks I'm 20yrs I must be in clg.😂 Funny but it's true and this gives me push to avoid processed sugar as much as possible.

    Heyz
This is a short written note of extracted words.
Hope you all find them good enough.
    What's gkucose spike?
Increase in glucose level in blood stream whenever we eat something, specifically sugars that release dopamine (pleasure generating hormone).
    *Flaws/Cost of glucose Spike*
    1. Malfunctioning of mitochondria (it's powerhouse of cell), sudden increase in glucose makes mitochondria difficult to handle all of this at once and it enters directly into blood stream.
    2. Cooking (gleycation) well i find this one intriguing. Every human body cooks with time and each time one gets glucose spike results in one cooked. Glucose spike generates outcome of glycation. Human body aged more early if having glucose spike more regularly.
    3. Diabetes. This one is absolutely worse and so is inflammation. One with these diseases suffer throughout life.
*IT'S NOT POSSIBLE TO NEVER CRAVE SUGAR*
Well, the best way to get reduced effect of these sugars on bloodstream is to change the patterns and orders im which we eat.
    1. Never eat or drink sugar/ smoothies/juices/cereal/oats in breakfast. Eat Savory breakfast (that contains protein).
    2. Eat sugar after the meal (whether it's after dinner or lunch)
    3. Change the order in which you eat meal. * *Proteins first** *fats then** *carbs/sugar lastly*
Its not this thing that smart body leads to healthy body. Nope. Its that thing that healthy eating choices definitely leads to healthy body resulting in better body shape.
I listened to first 20 minutes only .....will meet/write soon after winding it up.
