Looking good there Sam. Depending on the camera angle, at times it looks like there is a lot of trailer behind the pivot point😳, ya I would be nervous too. The break over angle is awesome and the deck sealer looks like it will do the trick....nice first pull, thanks for sharing 👍👍👍🇺🇸
080 heavy machine for a pick up truck. Good job. Nice trailer probably gonna invest in diamond c gooseneck this week. When i called them they seem really glad to help.
I have a 2017 F-550 with a heavy gooseneck trailer with tandem duals. The bad thing is that the trailer is short, only 17' deck, plus 6' dovetail. I want to buy a 9 ton excavator, and I am a bit concerned about towing that heavy with that set-up. I'd have to put the excavator all the way to the front of the trailer, and the boom will still extend all the way to the very back end of the trailer. I know it will do it. But should I do it? I am sure it would weigh heavy on the truck axle. I estimate that the total weight of it all would be about 41,000 lbs., which would slightly exceed the 40,000 lbs. GCWR rating of the truck. Will it be safe? Will it be legal? Those are my big concerns.
Good driving threw those roads 🙂. I would have used nonskid paint for trailer deck 👊🏻👍🏻, but that's just me , I've done it to my trailer deck for mowers.
I've been using Ready Seal for almost 20 years. I have applied thousands of gallons of that stuff. IMHO, there is nothing better for outdoor wood. Decks, trailers, porches, log homes, cedar siding... name it -- it works. Sweet ass trailer BTW...
Hey man. Love what you and Arthur do on your channels. I own a hotshot trucking company moving mostly equipment up here near Toronto. Thanks for all you guys do. We have 2 2019 rams and K trail, Pj trailers. Had a meeting today for a new Diamond C trailer.
great vid I liked my 1999 one ton with a standard, people like to watch me start it the exhaust went bad I chopped it off on the down pipe on the turbo. I said to my dad get in we are going to take a spin wow he said when I started it,it sounded like a B62 Mack with straight pipes sounded great. we rode back to the house I had a Extreme performance exhaust that was 4'' off the turbo to the tail pipe you could put your arm through the muffler. I have a duramax2007 2500 HD, I'm back looking at new 1 ton dodges, hey great vids
Never even thought about putting deck stain / sealer on a utility trailer, have always used a bucket of used oil , sometimes mixed with old diesel, painted on with a old mop. Our summers are really hard on wood decks in South Texas, and sometimes rain , ice ect. So old oil is the local favorite And sometimes the oil field guys spray salty well water on the gravel roads to knock down the bull dust I so I guess used oil helps hold down the rust on axles and springs, California probably don’t ever have salt or harsh summer weather That stain looks nice and you did spend $35000 + on the trailer so it probably deserves the extra cost/ TLC to keep it looking fancy, please keep us updated on how it holds up and if you stay pleased with stain
V-BELT and SON Well no matter the cost you got on fine piece of equipment, those diamond C’s are totally top of line Great welding and hydraulics , powder coating How is the wiring? “ all my trailers always gets messed up by ether brush or rats chewing them “
That step on your can side is perfect. Was that from factory? I had to move mine in order to have it there. Those hydro brakes sound like they are a big improvement over the electric??
This type of truck pull great but its stoping that matters . I use to work this type of 1 to 1.5 ton and found that it just pulls the guts out of them way to soon. For my 2 cents better off with a bigger truck. You guys are great and i love the videos
My6216 those disk brakes on the trailer will stop me very very fast. Ps I made a video about why I haven’t bought a big rig to tow. And this job site showed what I face daily. Barely had room to turn this rig around
Looking good nice set up Just waiting for the g56 ? Just looking my thoughts when you load the Exacavtor if the rear axle of your car lift up when loading will it take away your park brake ? is there a trailer brake?? You use when loading I have seen the truck and trailer skate away
Lee Christensen the hydraulic dove tail is the brake and the prevention for the tongue of the trailer lifting the rear of the truck. And I put truck in 4 wheel drive
Nice trailer, but you didn't seem concerned about the hub oil on the rims. Is that normal on breakin of a new trailer. I've only ever pulled multi-mile trailers. Maybe the o-ring for the hubcap just needs tightened.
I'd be putting some yellow Scotchlite tape on the front and back verticals of the steps, right after I walked into one. Is there a Center-of-Gravity mark on the trailer deck edge? Maybe I'm the only one who thinks that would be handy.
All you need to do to stop stressing about the new trailer is take a sledgehammer and give it a few artistically placed dents and scrapes. You'll relax after that.
He's right it works. Bought a 2012 F550 and put a dent in the flat bed with an excavator and today still not a scratch. Bought a 2019 in January, did not dent it myself and my guys already dented the bumper and rear ended a car on another occasion.
Honest question, why would you want to pull a 20k mini ex with a pick up truck? Just the lack of braking seems to be reckless. And doesn’t it wear out that under sized truck in a few hrs?
Ronny Spencer 100% not lacking any brakes. Didn’t you watch the video? I demonstrated the brakes in the video service brakes and both engine brakes. And modern pick ups are rated to tow this much and do it day it and day out. Not a big deal
V-BELT and SON I guess will have to do a greed to disagree because an engine brake on a B series Cummins means nothing. Your set up kind of seems like the tail is wagging the dog if you know what I mean. That’s just my two cents I know I was much happier when I went to a larger pull truck
Ronny Spencer engine braking is very good with this set up. Both engine brake and an exhaust brake. Two engine brakes make a huge difference. I made a video talking about why I don’t have a semi and well you watched a video that showed a perfect example of why this set up works so well. It fits in these small jobs. Either way you seem to have made up you mind. FYI I own the machines I haul. I’m not for hire. ruclips.net/video/PjkUI6UR4W8/видео.html
V-BELT and SON Don’t give me wrong I’m not a hater. I’m actually just like you I own my own equipment and all I haul is my own equipment. Over the last 15 years I just got tired of wearing out pick up trucks so I thought outside the box and made it set up that works much better and is safer and more efficient for my use. Your trailer truck combo is sick, What’s again don’t come across thinking that I am marking you don’t like what you got and be safe out there.

I'm so jealous of your manual trans!
🤣😁 A million degrees
Getting ready to start working but I have never use the trailer brakes how to use
How’s that trailer spect out? I’m looking to get something just like that to haul that size machine
2 12k axles rated at 26k. Look on the diamond c website. Brand ambassador section. Full build sheet in all my trailers on there

great video Sam 😬👍🏻
Diamond performed great. Awesome video for a Saturday morning. 👍🏻
Love that dark walnut, looks great. I like the new trailer. It’s got me looking at them now!

Beautiful!!
I was hoping you would burn your logo, upper center middle, on it so it can be seen by your drone fly overs.
I remember you saying you were a fan of demo ranch, you should give your truck a name like Matt does!
I’m ordering a half dozen of those speed binders right meow.
Bonito video, buen trabajo, and nice traila

Yeah buddy
The deck looks great after the stain treatment. Nice rig Sam!!
Speed binders and hydro dove... say goodbye to 💪. Lol
I suppose the old diesel fuel/oil trick for treating that trailer deck would have given those California politicians a heart attack!! LOL
DeHaven Family Farm idk about all of that but I didn’t have the heart to put diesel and crap oil on a new trailer 😬
I still use diesel and oil on trailer deck. Not too many people know about that
Looks so nice I wouldn't want to load anything on it.
New camera is awesome

How long it take to roll on sealer? I got the same! Looks bada$$! Picking up my trailer this Saturday and gonna seal asap. LMK
I love the spread on those trailer axles!i like the trailer more now I’ve seen you use it.
My next one will have air ride with the lift axle for making those sharp turns.
Good job

what temperature did the hubs on your other trailer get pulling the same load?
Put some chicken lights on that rig...come in!
That's just tipical roads around here in Tennessee.

Nice trailer, but you didn't seem concerned about the hub oil on the rims. Is that normal on breakin of a new trailer. I've only ever pulled multi-mile trailers. Maybe the o-ring for the hubcap just needs tightened.
S Taylor that’s not hub oil. It’s never seize coming off of the lug nights. Believe me I would be all over it if the hub was leaking.
I guess you have scratched the new trailer...there goes the resale value! 👍🏼
I painted mine twice with used 80-90 been 6 years no rot....
Braden good stuff. I didn’t want my trailer to smell like crap lol
@@VBELTandSON Once it obsorbed in the wood it actually stopped smelling as strong lol. Poor guys have poor ways.
I know you’re a Cummings guy but thoughts on the 6.4 Hemi? Needing a heavy duty gasser. Trying to decide Ford, Ram or GM. Thanks
Gas is fine if towing is a low priority. Gas makes a better daily driver, diesel makes a better tow rig.
I'd be putting some yellow Scotchlite tape on the front and back verticals of the steps, right after I walked into one. Is there a Center-of-Gravity mark on the trailer deck edge? Maybe I'm the only one who thinks that would be handy.
