Started my thirty three year trucking career operating a wrecker when we only had slings. I’m from Cali and you guys do a phenomenal job. Whatever you do if you get a show don’t let them make you look like fools. Do it your way or no way. Great channel.
Ha ha 15:39 thanks for the shout out. My oiler and i were stuck in that for about 2 hours. Got on the freeway just 2 exits south of this. Glad you were there to get this cleaned up. You guys do great work been a subscriber for a long time. Posted some of my own videos but it’s not easy to make good videos. Hats off to you for taking the time to keep people informed and entertained. OE local 12 SoCal baby!
You’re welcome, this is why I made the decision to agree with chp and drag it to open up that lane. Insane how long it was shut down for before I even got there especially in morning rush hour. Safe travels out there!
@@PepesTowingServicemuch appreciated! As you know us CDL guys can’t just jump off the freeway and take side streets. As a crane operator I’m always impressed with how you rotators can get things done. If your ever interested in getting up and close to some crane work just reach out.
There was also a car (maybe an SUV) involved in the accident. They took it away on a rollback. Perhaps it changed lanes too close to the front of the truck. People don’t realize that it takes longer for a semi to stop than it does a car.
@@obfuscatethecode5696 whenever I get back to Cali .. I can go anywhere in the U.S. and as soon as I get into Cali it feels like it’s a race track bruh .. it’s like People in Texas have a 70 MPH speed limit and they drive 70 maybe 75 MPH for example but here in Cali it’s 65MPh and everyone here is going 90 and shit 😂 it’s fucken ridiculous
Hard??? The road was already closed. Could of backed 2 trucks up to where it was and flipped and drug it on its wheels out the way. Instead of dragging it down the hwy to straighten it out. Would of been much faster to open the hwy
As a retired operator of 20 years it never ceased to amaze me when we needed a lane to work so that we'd be safe in doing our job the CHP wanted the lanes open and they wanted them open right now so you better move your ass and do it but if a CHP officer break a fingernail on the freeway during a traffic stop they'll shut the whole damn freeway down for hours while they do their investigation that's how it's done in SoCal
For real. Its amazing they split traffic around an accident like that. Safety should come first. If you have to shut it down, shut it down for gods sake.
well, a situation like this is a crash, a cop getting hit is considered a crime. But i take your point. Like in a freeway shooting, they shut everything down while they scour across all lanes for bullet casings.
The conditions you guys have to operate under is wild!! I’m always impressed - crazy traffic, the people, the odd scenarios, the heat, sometimes rain and the cliffs… just crazy
As a 60 year old tow truck driver in Canada wished I had of equipment like that in my time! awesome job guys. Some people don't believe it take some real engineering to accomplish what looks completely impossible safely and with the due time to free traffic
Pepe's Towing never ceases to amaze me as to the quality of their work and their ability to solve complex problems and work with other companies and organizations. Bravo Zulu.
When I saw Hulk on the KTLA morning news getting ready to "do its thing", I knew it would make a great RUclips. You make this complicated stuff look easy! And great call on chain binders on the hydraulic cylinders.
Hey Josh & Omar !! Great work with doing the job at hand & letting the traffic flow !!! 👍👍👍👍👍 ALL should be well pleased with this recovery for sure !!! 😉🤔🤗
Nice to see why you show that, when any police agency calls, they get the best to deal with the mess. Yet another example of why any company that does recovery work on any of the nation's highways needs a rotator.
I've been towing light duty for about 10yrs. I've assisted on heavy calls. So I got into doing the heavy call about a yr ago. I must admit that I am very impressed by your work.
Awesome recovery and very good job with the video!! I did a lot of CHP calls back in my day and, you are absolutely right, they are in charge. You do what they ask as quickly and safely as possible. There is a difference between being "cocky" and being "confident". You are not cocky. Stay safe out there!!
I hope you recovered your chains and binders from the hydraulic cylinder. Good work in the middle of the freeway. Stay Safe out there. Greetings from Melbourne, Australia.
Hey Josh, I recognize that flatbed/rollback. It's a Hino. If I remember correctly Hino 265. It's what we used. Had between 30-40 of them. Great truck! You are the lucky one having your truck and knowledge, you've said it before that you have the best job. I agree 👍 Peace ✌️
I always feel like a proud grandma when I watch you do these jobs....everything is precise and professionally done in record time. I guess I better be careful........I'm sounding a little cocky!!
I have watched several of your videos (and several by another tow truck company - Ron Pratt) and I am amazed with the power of your trucks. Also I notice both you and Ron are careful and thorough when recovering heavy trucks. In particular you both often have tricky and difficult situations to deal with but always come up with a plan to ensure the job gets done safely. In particular just before this video I watched another one of yours titled "Insane Tractor-Trailer Rollover UNDER a Bridge". When I saw that truck on its side under a bridge with such low clearance my first thought was you would have to drag the truck out from under the bridge before uprighting it - and I was right. But I was surprised at one part of this video; you dragged the truck over to allow traffic to pass on BOTH sides of the vehicle during recovery (because the police wanted you to get another lane open ASAP). I thought you would need the extra space on one side to upright the truck but you managed to get it done in the very limited space left after the second lane was opened with no danger to the passing traffic. Well done.
As the wife of a heavy wrecker operator of over 35 years, I cannot tell you how many of his friends and coworkers that we have had to bury because of careless, ignorant car drivers. TLM. 🤛 TOW LIVES MATTER
I know a lady whose hubby was killed trying to get a vehicle hooked up to his tow truck. She was trying to get SC traffic laws changed to help protect tow truck drivers while they're on the job.
To the Lady who is the Wife of a tow Wrecker Operator ALL Life Matters! You are Very Right about the Motoring Public just don't care about anyone EXCEPT THEIR SELF BECAUSE OF THE BIGGEST Distraction their Cell Phones that they are wrapped up in!
Don’t know what it is about the videos you guys make but they are very relaxing. I guess it’s the smooth paise of the jobs are very methodical and thought out. It’s like know one’s gonna rush you because you guys have all the control.
I’m so impressed. Imagine this being your first day at work at how stressful it must be to know your time is essential for an entire city. No pressure.
Impressive recovery especially when having traffic on both sides and having the added pressure to hurry up. Total professional and some amazing equipment to do it. I'm curious what does the bill for something like this run?
The rust doesn’t make it old. Makes it a maintained. That’s a 389 with emissions crap on it so it’s fairly new. My Pete 379 is old. 22 years old and original paint that shines
I was looking for this comment- you're right, that's at least a 2011 389...a newer truck by my standards. I'm still working a 1984 359 Pete and a 2000 379 up in Oregon. Old school.
Oh it was even better in person lol. Good feeling getting that lane opened in all of 5 min then handling the entire job with traffic snaking on BOTH sides

Never ceases to amaze me that on a nice SoCal day with dry pavement that you can end up with a mess like this.

What a great company promotion.
Wow. I’m an old lady and enjoy watching you guys work together. My hubby was a good worker . He ran the paving plant, to build new freeways.

right! f the corporations

Want to know a secret? I thrive in these conditions. The more pressure, the worse the environment, the better for me lol.

Im British but I've always had a love for the American wreckers big and Beasty love the channel bud
A true professional that knows what he’s doing -- GREAT JOB !!!!!!
Josh and Omar, Incredible recovery! You make a good pair.
I just found your channel today, so I'm watching all these older ones, man what a fun (and kinda scary) job!
You are a master at rigging! It is all about understanding the geometry of the cables and stress management!
I wouldn't ever get tired of that man! So awesome that your in control of so much power!
You guys are so efficient. I love watching these rollover videos. Thanks!

You guys are amazing. It’s a joy to watch you clean up LA mistakes.
Respect my brotha !!! You have a dream job of mines!! Respect everything you and the rest of the tow truck drivers do !!
So cool that you knew exactly how to keep those lanes open and rotate the tractor and trailer so accurately. Impressive machinery too.
Not all heros wear capes! Thank you brother!
I hope you recovered your chains and binders from the hydraulic cylinder.
