I am truly amazed at how calm you are with this stuff... I'd would have probably lost my voice by now and have tools flung everywhere
28 years of trucking and I never seen one buried to the top step. That's talent! Good work safely getting it out.
+Barnes Sawmill Woodworks lol Thanks for Watching!
You should just have painted that thing green and called it a tree, it had already taken root...LOL
been there a couple times myself with my tri axle freight years ago and ya know my stomach felt the same watching yall as it did when it was me in the seat. thanks for the video
+John Myers Thanks so much John!!
Awesome video with some pretty strategic equipment use/operation.My hat is off to you guys for making that recovery successful
+Cori Norwood Thanks Cori!!
Great teamwork fellas, ain't it good having big machines. I had a skid steer dug in a few months ago, tried with a truck and cable - broke hook. Escavator pulled me out first go. Fun times.
Keep posting the vids chipperguy, stay safe.
I went back and watched this , pretty cool and brute power of the dozer. The other thing you may have done was doze a trench on one side of the truck then pushed it into the trench then pushed it out if it didn't come out the way you were doing it.
nobody would believe the stuff that happens in the woods if we didn't go pro it. this is the way tall tales are made . BTW nice to see the Boss cutting wood
+FEI-forestry Thanks!!! The stuff that happens out logging has to be seen!!
Another good job John!
Wow! The back of that chip van must be made really well or reinforced with some good steel to withstand the force of two big machines pushing on it. You all handled it with finesse. Impressive video. It makes me feel better to know that i'm not the only one that has days like that.
+TKNaturescapes Yep we all have bad days!! The trailers bumper are all that way. They have to be like that when they get dumped at the mill. Just keep rollin!!! Thanks for
unreal!!!! isn't it something how fast a road can fall apart! it made a great video tho thanks for taking the time to make it.
+RLT Aaron Nickolson video was good, production was horrible. Haha video was only good thing about it lol Thanks for Watching!!
Great job. That’s how you make a Mt out of a mole hill right there.
You're right. you sure do have a mess on your hands. Good luck and stay safe!
+chipjr10 Thanks for Watching!!
This is the kind of day that makes you wonder why you even got out of bed. Thought it wasn't gonna come out there for a bit.
Hoooooooly. I've seen some sticky wickets in my day, but nothing like that. You had me grunting and I pulled the pads off the arms of my chair. doug (Live action- more power captain)
+Douglas Laramie lol sorry about the chair!! Can you say ducktape!! Thanks so much for Watching Doug!! Just keep rollin!!
I think we've all had those days when we thought " could we possibly get anything bigger or heavier stuck?" haha.
+Bucketsamson yeah it's no fun when you some iron stuck!! Thanks for watching!!
that truck and trailer will never be the same good job
+Amy Bailey Sad but true..it has been baptized!!!! Thanks for Watching Amy!!
Wow. Feel bad to say I enjoyed it because man, that looked like a rough day. Great video. Grace and peace.
+Luke Worsech Thanks for Watching Luke!!
Wow that was in good for a semi outfit, sorry if I jinxed you the other day with hoping you guys don't drive over 5 times and disappear. That was a fantastic recovery without totally destroying anything though well done ! . It looks like plan B might be smear that lot out and pray for -20oc for 5 days to drive the frost down, and get Instant concrete like when it freezes hard here in Manitoba.
I'm real sure thats gonna be the back of my hog barns in the spring now, we have had white out snowfall and blowing snow for 2 days, there is 4 ft deep stuff blown in there and packed tight like concrete to get out,for a feed delivery. the storms finally dropping off some now and they are starting to open some closed main highways in the last hour here. Thanks for sharing, See you guys next time with hopefully better luck involved.
+super6954 Thanks for the great comment!! We need cold!! Bad!!
Man that is a mess. I avoid wet farm ground, always ends up in a messy or stuck situation for me. Great thing you had the manpower and machinery to push the truck trailer out!
+UncommonKIBBLES Yeah it just takes alot of iron when things get muddy!! Thanks for Watching!
Then they drove it to the truck wash and spent 16 hours and $3000 in quarters.
Gotta love playing in the mud
Wow I have never see something stuck so bad as that truck - the mud suction must have been colossal and I'm not surprised it took so much horsepower, traction and team work to get it out. In fact it is somewhat surprising that you managed it at all and God forbid if you hadn't because it would have likely sat there till next summer together with the chipper!
+Dan Whiteford haha the suction was horrible!! That's the hardest part to break free when you get in those situations!! Thanks for Watching Dan!!
Need some winter cement! (Frozen Ground) Good job getting it out men
+Adam Butler Thanks Adam!! Thanks for Watching!!
Son THAT is gonna be an expensive load of chips. Fingers crossed for freeze up!
+W. Bruce MacDonald The freeze is on in Michigan!! Thanks for Watching!!
That was one hell of a vidja! I got worn out just watching it.
+bytes y haha it was a long day..long day Thanks for Watching!!
I puked, motion sickness was partial to the event.
Been there done that! I'll be there and do it again for my time is up I'm guessing.
Thanks for sharing GOD BLESS.
Let me know where you trade this truck in so I don't buy it on accident! 😂
Oh man sorry for the trouble
Who ever said there was a dull day in the woods? Lol that was a helluva job y'all did pulling that truck and van out. I was literally cheering y'all on standing in the kitchen cooking burgers for me and the missus lol.
+Joshua Pearson lol hope you enjoyed the burgers....your making me hungry man!!!!! Thanks so much for cheering us on!! Thanks for Watching Joshua!!
I did brother, and I'll tell ya what, it couldn't have come soon enough. Right after those burgers, the whole day fell apart lol. Busted main at the apartments, had to shut the water off to all seven units, chipper broke down, truck full of wood. Time for bed lol. But hey, I'm looking at it in a positive light. By the way, I've recorded some footage of the chipper in action. I'll be trying to get it acceptable looking here shortly and uploaded! You talked me into it!
Get r done brother. GOD BLESS.
A winch on the 6 lodged in front of that pine with the block would probably bull the rig in half. But it'll sure move something IF you can get it fouled. I ran a 175 loader with a winch and that thing was MURDER on stuck stuff. And a 6 with a high set of grousers was WORSE! Glad you got out. Need a helicopter attachment! HEAL Girlies and Blessings yall!
Oh boy! That stuff I don't miss at all.......
+Julie Wymer lol YES YOU DO!! HAHA
Reminds me of wintertime at a marina I used to work at. Ground was akin to concrete when it was frozen but if the sun came out or it warmed up things became a soft mess.
+animenut69 Yeah once the sin hits it she gets greasy! Thanks for Watching!!
Nice. Man I've almost been stuck like that in my bucket truck before. Wait not even close like that. But it was a good n too. Kind of tears up the day production wise. Good job though. Like your videos
+Robert Wixom Thanks Robert!! Thanks for Watchin Man!!
Reminds me of the time we buried our combine. It took a lot of head scratching and a track hoe digging out around it. Then two two hundred horse tractor pulling the rear end sideways to get it out. I hadn't ever seen anything buried like that combine was. I mean the ground had no bottom every time the combine would spin down she'd go a little more. Wound up front end was about 4 feet deep.
+jonjonky ouch!! Mud can be nasty nasty!! Thanks for Watching!!
I’ve had 21 years in a dump truck and never seen anything stuck that bad. Good job getting her out. 😁
Talk about a rough day. That was a job and a half, not to mention the loss of a day.
+Fred Garvin Thanks for Watching Fred!
How long are you going to be there? Would it be worth scrapin' the top layer of wet muck to the side and layin' down the gravel to make a decent road so the trucks can get back up to the chipper and drive out?
I've seen plenty of buried trucks. You win the prize. Not often do you here about one up to the fuel tank. But over the fuel tank?! The chipper was bad enough. This is a disaster
+Sean Lyman I must agree!! Thanks for Watching !!
if you are going to need to get in and out several times make a mud boat flat steel with 4x4 square stock worked in oil field made a bunch of them
Invest in some radios for your equipment, save time and money and be more safe
Have you ever ran open cab dozer you wouldn't hear it if it was there
I have, and though your're right about the audio and not being able to hear, I think he's referring to the initial communication of telling everyone to start together and stop together. in this situation, it would have helped.@@billybobboggs8080
No chains on the skidder?I love the vids it nice to see how different outfits do things in different spots in the country the frost out law sound tuff . Only a few roads have restrictions on them but the big guys usually have to leave the woods once the frost is out till almost may. An early spring can really hurt guys
+Laura Murray no chains! Made a video called skidder chains. I explain it in there. Thanks for Watching
I almost felt bad hitting the like button, but it was a great video. I mean too bad you had to spend all day getting one truck out.
+Michael 12345 Yeah it wasn't a productive day but it was worth recording!! Thanks for Watching Michael!!
You did well getting that out, I've never seen a truck buried as deep
+Paul F This may have been the worst stuck a truck I have seen. Thanks for Watching Paul!!
How could you not see that mud and not know you're going to get stuck?!?!
I agree you wouldnt scrap the road by any chance
HOW THE HELL DID HE GET INTO THE MUD??? NO ROAD, JUST A MUDDY FIELD???
Man oh man.... you guys really know how to bury a truck! Wow!
Good job getting it out!
Any damages to truck or trailer?
I did a crane set building project at Ft. Polk in Louisiana once, during the rainy season. We got stuck everyday, lost track of how many mats we lost... hated that job. Spent a total of six months there, right through the heat and humidity of summer.
Be safe and take care!
+Good Day Farm Bottom step was messes up and the licence plate light got broke other than that I think we are all good!!
That Chipper Guy
Wow! Not bad for how deep it was and for all the pushing and pulling you guys had to do!
Good job!
Take care!
Y'all need a road of mats to get into that place!
+Joe Pugh Yeah....and a pile of cash to buy them lol Thanks for Watching!
Better check the underside of that truck good for damage. That fifth wheel pin is all there is between the driver and his maker. Never seen one down that bad. Do you have an excavator? That is one hell of a tough trailer to take that abuse.Reminds me of the expression"mudville nine" . Think there was a song with that phrase in it. Been there and done that. Glad you got it out in one piece.
+Johnny Holland No excavator. Just woods equipment. Truck and trailer are all good and haulin loads. It went to the shop and got a good bath and a looksy! Thanks for Watching Johnny!!
Holy moly!!!
+chucky chuck it's wasn't easy lol Thanks for Watching
Hey john great vids. just wondering why you wouldn't find some creek run or gravel and put it down before the snow. all day and lots of equipment there for one truck. just wondering. keep up the great vids.
The grounds like that here there’s no bottom to it now.
well im sure u have gotten all kinds of advice on what u should have done pretty easy to say when ur watching on utube its out and nothing got broke so bravo good sir stay safe get logs
+west coast logging alex esgate You know your right!! Thanks for Watching!!
I'd say there is a bit of compaction in that field now!
+Josh Timer me as well! Thanks for Watching!!
Josh Timer do you sponsor John too?
If that trailer has a live floor you pump half the chips off. LIGHTEN THE LOAD, pull the truck out, push the chips in the hole and call it a loss. Less loss than what you had.
If not live floor, two guys with sawdust shovels would have it off in 2 hrs. Simple and better yet, if you want to work so bad do repairs and catch up on the small stuff.
Time to call Corb Lund to get that truck out!😂
Donald Clark i think we are the only two that got the joke😂
Holy cow man, that was buried. Check under that truck, because I think their might be a chinese guy underneath. Haha
+Bill Peters lol didn't find any little china men. It we had we could have found some work for them!!! Or at least get some buffet food lol Thanks for Watching Bill!!
Bill Peters Couldn't help seeing the Stellers simble lol. gotta ask u from Pittsburgh i am
D.J. 81 No I'm from Ohio. My dad and his side of family is from Pittsburgh. Crafton, PA to be exact
Bill Peters how about them New England patriots
D.J. 81 I live 1/2 mile From Seven Springs...
WOW!
12 min mark ,,, guy needs a flag green / red that is used at tractor pulls if you dont have radios ,, just a thought,,, regards J
+xmodriver Yes he does!!! I should have put a fast forward part of him at the end it hilarious! That's Adam btw he runs the Buncher!! Finally got him on camera lol Thanks for Watching!!
good stuff
That Chipper Guy usually we have the semi use his air horn. 1 blast for go and 2 for stop. Even the guys in cabs can hear that.
Piece of cake.
+Everythingisgoingtobealright yeah baby!! Thanks for Watching!;
man do you guys have to deal with deep soft working areas. thats nuts how bad and tore up that road got.
Wow amature hour at its finest
LMMFBO, Such an easy remedy to this whole mess.
Quigley towing has a channel where they set up some d-9s with winches. They removed the blades and do a lot of off road extractions
+Donald Cisney Yeah they can pull I bet! Thanks for Watching!!
Ya, they can pull no problem. What they pull and yank is already junk though.
What part of Michigan are you guys at? Im in howell?
Some days it just does not pay to get out the front door. What a pain. Hopefully it freezes up for you guys with all that muck.
+mhn3773 Sometimes there is only one thing you can do...just keep rollin!! Thanks for Watching!
Absolutely, I think that is the biggest key to being successful.
Never have i heard you get upset not once. Now when can i come to work for you?? Have 10 plus years experience .
I've had some trucks stuck bad, but never like that. Snow mud way worse than rain mud too in my opinion. I dig graves and totally despise winter. Everything takes twice as long.
+Randall Wescoat Yeah winter can slow things down! Thanks for Watching!!
I have seen them chip vans with that name on them up here in Maine.
wow. good times. :-)
+Adrian Sperlich lol great times!!!
Now let's see if the driver can find another mud bog to drive through before dark.
dammm.! one big sippy hole..!!! so do you shut down the site until the ground freeze's..?
+Edward Leonard you'll have to wait and see.....
new sub to your channel you got some good vids this was good for me not good for you that sucker was stuck take care be safe thumbs up
Thanks for Watching
When the GPS is not set to "only roads"
I think the chipper's stayin put for a while! Can you doze off the top soil to get down to the sub soil an put it all back when your done? best of luck! Good vid all the same!!
+Mental Sid no bottom to this ground. Have to stay tuned to see what happens next!!
OMG! This Ive got to see!!!!
I'd say callin' that a predicament is an understatement :D
+Keith Brettell lol yeah it was a colossal mess!!! Thanks for Watching!!
WOW
Holy crap that dude is stuck
You need you a D9 and a 330 to fix that mess
seem like a good day to stay home
+Doug Smith Haha it's always fun in the woods...plus mud...just keep rollin brother!!
Gonna be a long month. And you get to do it again tomorrow too.
+cal raines who knows you'll have to keep watching!! Haha
Here in north western Québec, Canada, when we have weather like that, every jobs are stopped in the bush until the ground is frozen, no body makes money in those condition.Worse, you break everything.
+Eric Laforest Yeah sometimes shutting down is a good option. Thanks for Watching!
A good cut to have done in February.
+Marvin Wegner Or July!! Thanks for Watching Marvin!!
You have a point!
How u going to get vans in and out now ?
And that's the chipper stuck to u get more mats or a deep frost
+Craig Nicholson have to wait and see!!! Thanks for Watching Craig!!
I intend to stay tuned to u sir
Am just glad no equipment got broke getting that chip van and tractor out
Too u and all the gentlemen u work with u all do an amazing job but u all went above and beyond that day
that looks like a whole roll of tp
+memyselfand ifarmer lol
good job how long did it take u guys to finaly get truck out?
+Jeff Elliott About 6-7 hours.
so how much did that tractor and trailer weight ? I am guessing 50 + ton . also what year is your dozer, she looks like she is one of the first high track versions. still seemed like a good rig. all the best.
There was 42 ton in the chip van. Total gross was close to 135,000
This is a dumb question, why do work in conditions like this??? Big demand to meet or total overall production? ( Ok so two dumb questions)
+George Oleson It was just that time of year, spring and fall are wet seasons and it's hard to find dry ground. You just gotta keep rollin'! Thanks for watching!
Can you move the landing closer to the main rd so that the loaded trucks don't have to travel over the field just the skidders.
+Bigpower802 No not enough room for a landing. Thanks for Watching!!
I think you might find Jimmy Hoffa under that truck it dug in so deep
Dagon Naxos thats my joke dammit. We hook jeeps together like that when we get real stuck. But we never needed 3 skidders and a dozer.
Looks like you need a good cold spell!
+Jeff Campbell It's coming!!!!
Mama said there be days like this. She just didn't say it would be every day
+mirrorimage cattleco lol yeah it's been a long couple days!! Thanks for Watching!!
YIKES!😳
+John English haha
Herman brothers in Washington has a truck converted to 6wheel drive.
+Donald Cisney That would be awesome. We have a 6 wheel drive army truck but the 5th wheel is to high!! Thanks for Watching Donald!!
All right, more iron in hole!!!
Why did you put a truck in there ??? WTF
they call that the "low rider " mod for semis LOL
+jetegtmeier71 lol it was low!!! Thanks for Watching!
This is why we never worked in the woods during mud season or pulled off of jobs like this until it froze up good or dried out. waste of money and tore up equipment.
Think you need to let it dry out a bit. We would be shutdown before it ever got to that.
