It's crazy how ppl think that this type of comedy is something to be frowned upon... This was a show about bringing together ppl of different cultural backgrounds and having them learn something together... If anything the portrayal is more realistic than what I see in some shows... U need stereotypes to make the audience connect with the show..
All Those subtitles with a political agenda behind it, but let me tell you this Majority of the people who love this Sitcom are foreigners such as Pakistanis, Sikhs, indians, Spanish, japanese etc. because we understand the difference between Racism and humourous stereotyping which is a form of comedy that even stand-up comedians use, even English people are stereotyped in this show you'll notice if you watch the show, wonder what's with you Westerners always trying to speak for us foreigners, when we have no problem with this, then why does it bother you? stop trying to play "politics" and impose your sense of morality on others.
Stereotypes are littered throughout comedy in most contexts. It's a part of comedy. If all language becomes politically correct, there will be no comedy. Even politicians make jokes. Watch any comedy online & you will find that most of the plot lines and jokes are based around stereotypes.
Yes Japanese add a little o at the end for example "greed island-o" from hxh and "dragon divo" as a dragon dive, tho in mind your language they exaggerated it alot
Loved the woke subtitles, as if we need to be reminded how humour has been banished from cultural differences. Woke culture reminds me of those pictures of sour faced sufferagettes of the 1800's. Good to see they are still around, something else to take the piss out of.
Actually they do, they add extra vowels to the clusters of consonants in every word because that's how japanese vocabulary works. Strawberry becomes Sutoroberi
