I love how our newer generations have redefined success. 50 years ago success was working a regular job, never missing a day of work, and always having to be “the hero”. I feel like were moving to a place where being happy and doing what you love is being successful.
Ryan Newman ❤️👌🏻
Spot on my friend. When you have a million dollars, you have a million responsibilities; this can easily result in endless stress. When you learn to live with less, you have less responsibility and more free time to actually live your life with far less stress.
This is awesome. But i feel that the point of working hard is not just for self worth but it’s too build a community. This is really the first generation were we dont need community to live comfortable. But we always will need a society working together. We are so advanced that we can get away with not everyone working together
It's still same in Nepal. I don't want to live my life like this. I want change in my life, and I am ready to pay it's price 🇳🇵☺
Ahh That's very positive. Thank you very much for it.
We rarely regret the things we do, but always the things we didn't do.
Literally the scariest thought ever but it motivates me so much!!
your right about that !
People always say this and I for some reason usually disagree. I regret things that I did do more than what I didn't for the most part. But maybe that's a problem in itself lol
I went by that motto and it resulted in my greatest regret
I regret things that I do all the time

If you die tonight, do you know where you're going? Did you know that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven and He loves you?
Through Him, God offers you a FREE gift - forgiveness. All you need to do is repent, turn away from your sins and evil ways,
from now on put your faith completely in Jesus Christ and be obedient to Him.
Explanation:
God doesn’t want anybody in hell because He loves us, but you must understand why
we deserve hell and why those who refuse to live under His authority will go
there. (Matthew 12:30) ''Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not
gather with me scatters.'' He gave us the law (Ten Commandments) not to make us righteouss, but
rather to show us our sin (Romans 3:20). God gave us free will and since Adam
sinned in the garden, sin is the nature of our flesh and we’ve all sinned.
(Romans 3:23) and the law demands death to those who sin (Romans 6:23). For
someone to be justified before God they have to be sinless, that's why everyone need Jesus Christ.
None of us are good in God’s eyes, because for God good means moral perfection. We all
have broken God’s commandments, we all have sinned in our lives so none of us
are good. ‘’For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is
guilty of breaking all of it.’’ (James 2:10). ‘’For God so
loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.’’ (John 3:16) That’s why only Jesus can
save us, because He lived a perfect and sinless life and is the only worthy
sacrifice and died for our sins. We aren’t saved based on our good
deeds/works, but only by the grace of God. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
He said ‘’it is finished’’ (John 19:30), which means He paid the fine for our sins
(past, present, future) to be forgiven if we repent and trust in Him.
‘’Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that
times of refreshing may come from the Lord.’’ (Acts 3:19) Biblically, a person who repents does not continue willfully in sin.
Repentance is a turning from sin, and it always results in changed behavior (Luke 3:8). While sorrow from sin is
not equivalent to repentance, it is certainly an element of scriptural repentance (2 Corinthians 7:10). Do not play a hypocrite.
(John 3:3) Jesus replied, "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again."
If you confess that Jesus is Lord (John 10:30) and believe that God raised Him from the dead, then you’ll be saved. (Romans 10:9)
You are born again with the spirit of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. (John 3:36)
Bible is the Word of God. You may ask how so because it is written by men. Just like a letter is written by a pen,
so is Bible written by God using men. Bible/God's Word was written over 1600 year period by 40 different authors and 66 books, all leading to
the coming of God's Son - Jesus Christ. There is consistency of revelation throughout a long time of period, many prophecies being fulfilled.
In the Book of Isaiah you see details about how Jesus Christ suffered even if it was written a long time before His coming.
In the Book of Daniel 500 BC you can read about Alexander the great who lived 300 BC.
Get right with God and start your relationship with Jesus Christ right now before it’s too late, because there’s not much time left!. "But about that day
or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.’’ (Mark 13:32)
You may start with a simple prayer from the bottom of your heart, TRULY believing that God listens and
cares. (Jeremiah 29:13) ''You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.''
Get to know Christ through His word. At first I recommend reading Gospel of John and book of Romans. God bless you!
I am the 222nd like of this comment. Funny bc that's my lucky number.
Change will always happen whether you want it to or not
Ouch
I was trapped in everyday life, had a hidden depression. I was afraid of change and afraid of making it worse. Nevertheless, I broke out of this spiral and am now living my dreams. Before, I was always firmly convinced that the right time was not there, but it is always there. On the contrary, if you wait for the right time, you get older and older and let time pass. I am happy to do exactly what you explain in your video, I feel it that way. Thanks for taking the fear away from people, thanks for your video. 🔥

I am in the same situation. Since the quarentine all I have done has been procrastinating doing something about myself. It's just so comfortable to watch youtube videos to clutter your mind and be laying around all day, innit? It's my life, and I need a change. It's my responsibility to make that change for the better. I guess it's a matter of making the first corageous step and do what I know I need to do.

30 years ago I lived in Texas and have missed that place since the day I left. Keeping a long story Short, last month I sold my house, left my 18 yr old son who legally chose to live with his father (2yrs ago, broke my heart, didn’t see that one coming) left an on and off again re8 yr relationship! Im writing this from my rented room back porch to tell you.... TEXAS IS THE NEW CALIFORNIA! I’m going back home to the slow pace of the Midwest. Am I happy I followed my dream. ABSOLUTELY , it’s straightened out my mind and made me eternally greatful for the ones back home who love me! There are no mistakes, only what happens!.....oh did I mention my first week in Texas some guy took the front of my car off, my roommates I was supposed to move in with got COVID, so I had to live in hotels for 14 days and my new roommates aren’t really the dog lovers they claimed to be! Life is adventure no matter what happens along the way make the best of it. God bless all you who wonder❤️☮️

A negative of change is.....instability , along with uncertainty.....I drink beer ,,,anytime I want...anywhere ,anytime I choose to ,I drink...but I have complete control over it to not indulge in it and I never overdo my drinking....I never ever get drunk or even reach a " buzz ",, nothing ,never......so I know I have complete control over it,its not even an issue......but one thing I did lose control of for 25 years was my attitude towards " CHANGE "... I loved it! I embraced it,,I chose it,,I pursued it..I wanted to feel everything,,touch everything,,always wanting to see what was over there for me to do,,jack of all trades ,master of none..I've lived in soo many places ,,made many friends ( though I have none right now ),,had soo many girlfriends and lovers that ive let go ,,,,all for my love of CHANGE.....I'm married now ,have a baby boy,,a house ,one ! Job,,and I am soooooo much happier this way... ( point I'm making is)
I wish I wouldn't have pursued change with such curiosity and desire as I did,,,,yeah ,yeah I have alot of experience and stories to speak of...but,,.I should have chosen stability over adventure and change,,,,,a mistake I made.....
I’m about to move states for the first time in my life and I’ve been nothing but anxious the last couple of days. I needed to see this, thank you

“... because either way, change is going to happen.”
So yes, better to take care of our destiny! And even more fundamentally, to find our joy at a deeper level, not based on the changing, unreliable external conditions.
I wrote this comment on notes because that’s true
I like what he says that ‘if you’re leaving the job in good terms, it’s not gonna be that hard to go back to it.’ I know many people are afraid of quitting their jobs even though they hate their jobs because it makes them feel secure that they’ll have money to buy food and things they want. But maybe the job doesn’t give them the opportunity to become who they’ve always want to be...
I needed this thank you

SUCH good words of advice. If you try it and don't like, you can just go back to what you were doing before. We so easily forget that we're not stuck with the decisions we make and so much can be gained from just trying. I moved into an RV for about a year, but decided it wasn't for me so I sold it and moved back into an apartment, and by farrrrr the most common feedback I get is "you had such courage to change your mind" NOT that I was so courageous for doing it in the first place. Says something interesting about humans. Anyways... that's my long-winded way of saying thank you for this video! 😝
this is awesome Jake. Love it. Totally agree . I felt the exact same way working 9-5 for 13 years because it was safe, then some stuff happened that showed me there was another way to live, where you are responsible for your own future, where you don't rely on that "safety net". You take control, you make it work for you. It doesn't need to be huge, but it needs to be meaningful and fulfilling. Cliche as it is we only get one shot at living.

God, I needed to hear this right now.
I've been telling myself a lot of the same stuff you said, but it's encouraging to me to be reminded that I also have a MASSIVE community of people trying to make it, just like me, and the encouragement and advice of people all over the world is at my fingertips, like it NEVER has been in all of human history. I have you guys! *smiles through tears*
I really easily feel overwhelmed by my choice to try vanlife (I'm finishing up research and pulling the trigger in the next few weeks), and I have also been calming my anxiety by telling myself that I am setting up my fallback right now. My emergency net. It may cost a chunk of cash right now, and it may feel like investing in this lifestyle means I can't go back to a "normal" one, but really, I can simply hold onto this minivan as my main car, and have a place to stay and the know-how to stay safe if I ever find myself in a bind. (Or, yknow, if the economy or government or both collapse, which seems increasingly likely after January 6 2021). Anyway, I have to remind myself that I can make it. And your video helped with that :D
I really want to drop down to part time at my current job and go back to school to study something that will challenge me.

Wow Jake, you're level of storytelling has improved so much. I really needed this! Thank you
You've come a long way man! Really good content quality, and a great message as well. Keep going!
hey (: i’m in my last year of school, and under a bit of pressure to choose a course for uni. My parents & I spoke about medicine some time ago, and it’s come up several more times recently. I don’t know if that’s what I want to do in life - become a doctor, a cardiologist, a gynecologist etc. I know for sure that I want to work with people! I have a couple other course ideas in mind, but with medicine, I’d have to do a special test that is in a month ... I’m so anxious about this whole situation - I’d love to try go for medicine, because if not, I feel that I may regret it! I think I’m just afraid of failure - that I will not succeed in the medicinal test as I feel that there’s so little time. I’m torn, and I feel lost.
From a random stranger: go for it, you can do it! I believe in you!
Listen what your heart desires and trust yourself before anyone else, you can do anything, there are no faillure but just learnings. Good luck. We believe in you :)
Try it all. You already you want to work with people. Maybe it's medicine, maybe phycologist. Try new things, in the same field or different fields.
"Fear of the unknown is always worse than fear of the known." I don't remember who said it, it is truth.
You're spot on. Change is happening. We can come along and create our future or stay behind and mourn the old days. Change will happen anyway.
I feel so inspired by your talks. I am studying undergrad in Electrical and Electronic Engineering but its been about 5/6 months I found out that there's more in life rather than living it. We should consider our choice not our chance . Will buy me a camera shortly with my saved money from private tutoring. I just want to see things that really matters and nourishes our heart with fulfillness.

Dude, this is by far one of your best videos I have ever watched! And you are so right with what you are saying. Change is inevitable and stability is perceived.
Love this! Its so easy to get comfortable and feel insecure about stepping out and living your dreams. I think i've faced this problem many a time but finally decided a complete environment change is whats needed. I'll be moving next month and will be keeping these thoughts in mind
This video is so simple, yet so powerful. Awesome work Jake!
Thank you for your insight ... anything can change at any moment, why not go for it! 🙏💕💫
I can confirm as a vanlifer - whatever you're afraid to do, do it now. There isn't a perfect time, and your ducks will never be in a row. Take your ducks and run like hell, dude. You can always line them up later. You can always go back to square one. You can always keep moving.
Bro you have some serious talent! Great video as always! Also that car shot of your hand on the wheel w the camera tucked in the corner. I may or may not steal that 😂 freakin clean
This video has by far had an impact in my life this year... thank you so much
Fantastic short in every way! Beautifully shot and the theme was on point. You are so right in understanding that your job and anything that man has described as secure and “guaranteed” is fools gold. Blessings
I'm moving across the country and moving out on my own (with roommates) for the first time, and I'm taking a full leap into my business to sustain myself. My business hasn't shown amazing results, but I can feel in my heart that it's right for me to pursue it. I'm dropping everything that's secure, comfortable, and stable in order to chase a dream, but I truly believe it'll be worth it.
This video couldn't have come at a better time! Thank you, Jake.
I didn’t want this video to end. Your voice is so comforting. Thank you so much.
This is the most beautiful motivational video that i've ever seen🥺💗☁️ thanks for making this. ilysm
You have no idea how much I needed this right now thank you
Jake, I have been going through such a rough time at work recently. Photography and Videography has always been my dream to chase and I believe that it's time for me to chase that dream. You have always inspired me to do what I love and I listen to your videos while I'm at work to get through the long 12 hour nights. I'm grateful for being able to find this channel.
Change let you learn a lot. The smaller once especially. The triangle between comfort, challenge and freedom should be balanced.
Because change is inevitable, we need to learn how to make a big change smooth. Thank you for your sharing!
