Side Effects of T2 Thyroid Hormone: Is It Dangerous?

  • T2 thyroid hormone, also known as 3,5 diiodo-l-thyronine, is gaining a lot of attention among thyroid patients, and for good reason.
As far as thyroid hormones are concerned, T2 plays a major role in regulating metabolism, cholesterol metabolism, and heat production, making it the ideal treatment if you are suffering from hypothyroid-related weight gain as well as high cholesterol.
For this reason, many thyroid patients are wondering if it's right for them and they've been asking a lot of questions:
    Is T2 thyroid hormone safe?
    What are the side effects?
    And should I try it?
Well, this video is going to shed light on all of those.
First, we have no reason to suspect that T2 thyroid hormone is harmful because thyroid patients have been using it for over 70 years. This is because T2 is found in small amounts in NDT thyroid medications like Armour thyroid.
What about side effects? Based on the over 10,000 thyroid patients who have used my T2 supplement, here's what I've found:
Roughly 70-75% see some benefit when taking it. Roughly 5-10% see no discernable benefit and roughly 10-15% of patients see some minor negative side effect when taking it.
So, should you give T2 a try? That depends on how you are feeling.
If you are a thyroid patient who is currently feeling lousy despite taking your thyroid medication every day then, yeah, giving it a try may be a good idea.
In addition, if you are a thyroid patient suffering from the inability to lose weight then that's another reason to consider giving it a try.

I have been put back on T4 and T3 after taking Armor for some years. I can honestly say Armor was far better so the T1 and T2 in the natural hormone must do something.

I have taken one T2 empty stomach, one hour after my Synthroid in the morning..I do experience slight blurriness in my eye sight after an hour if taking it and then it goes away..I am on my 8 th day of taking. I am waiting to see how I feel.I have in the last 2 weeks started taking A,D,K, magnesium,B12, Omega 3s, and burbine. My joint pain has gone away and my energy level is up. Omega 3 fish oil and magnesium I think have helped the most. I workout 6 days a week. Lap swim 3x a week, lift weights and elliptical 3 x a week..I am retired so I have time..2 months ago I started to have joint pain and energy level was horrible. I forced my self to workout. I eat very healthy and gained some pounds on same routine. Binged watched Childs here and started taking vitamins, which helped a ton with probiotics. My work out has got 100% better. I have energy to workout and feel stronger. My weight has stayed the same but no gaining but I am putting on more muscle my belly fat has decreased. I started Hypo bundle last week. Drink lots of water on bundle or you will find constipation a problem until your gut levels out.. spoons of olive oil helped me..

I just received my T2 from you Dr Childs! I have had hypothyroidism since I was 7 and have been a roller coaster until 2016 when levels became stable until 2020 I have been on a yo-yo and needing some relief! I'm not sure what changed so drastically but thank you for sharing what can help! I am now in my 30s and worry for the future since I have been on synthroid or levothyroxine for so long.

    Great info Dr.
I stated taking T2 last week (100 mg), and I am going to the bathroom to pee to many times per day and night , but it looks like I am not getting tier much as I use too. I just reduced to 50mg per day, to see if the travel to the bathroom get normal 🙏.

Hello Dr. Childs, I am interested in your hypothyroid supplement package. I have struggled with this condition for most of my adult life. When I was diagnosed, my THS level was 34.3. I reached 402.5 lbs and was basically starving myself. My temperature is always 97.2 ⁰F, unless I am ill. All of the labs you discussed indicate that this condition is worsening, and I am barely able to function. I have lost all hope.

What should I do to help with the weight gain? I am a previous bariatric patient and not sure what supplements you recommend al9ng with levothyroxine.

Dr. Child's I have been recently diagnosed with hashimotos, which I have been telling multiple Drs I think I have. They have assured me for over 20 yrs I didn't need to be tested for it. Since 2005 I have tried every diet, supplement and exercise routine with absolutely no results. I have been researching and self treating since 2005 and currently on t4&t3 but no change. I was diagnosed with insulin resistance and a myriad of other ailments. Because I take so many different supplements to treat my hashimotos, IR etc my labs come back in the normal range, so I went off all supplements to treat myself and in 7 wks I gained 18lbs and my labs are still showing normal range. Help what can i do? I am now 60 lbs overweight. I intermittent fast 18 hrs, I walk 1 1/4 miles a day and I'm on CARNIVORE and keep gaining. My bp is always in the dangerous stroke levels and my Drs say they don't know why. Please help
