Low Elo is so much fun. The feeling when you capitalize off an opponents blunder just to realize you hung mate in 1 that your opponent missed all while the queens have been hanging for 4 turns is just indescribable.
I'm 600 i remember once i made such an amazing calculation to win the guys queen, like seriously 5 moves at least and then i executed but you know people take some time to think and at the final move everything went according my plan but i forgot i had a plan and just took his rook that open up cause it was the first thing i saw free. @@SaketRaman-jh6fw This might be true, but honestly I think you can play Caro Kann system with black against literally any opening moves. 8:45 A piece of advice to anyone around this ELO: you are up a full Rook at this point. Force the opponent to a trade of Queens, via Qc3+, and you basically win, by stalking the pawns on column "a" and "b"
It’s very good advice, because the whole check hitting the queen and king thing to force a queen trade trick just completely eliminates any counterplay from your opponent in cases like these. It’s such a good practical decision.
Right, easily winning endgame so just go into it. You have many options then - mate him with the rook, or if you're not confident in your abilities, think you're still so novice you might blunder the rook, then just cut him off and go gobble pawns with the king on one side, get a queen

Nah, his knight wasn’t hanging. It was a discovered attack when white moved their knight, but black protected his knight as soon as he captured white’s knight.
11:37 Knight c3 to e4 stops this whole pin. B takes B on d2 stops you castling as king must retake, but unpins, so thats a fine outcome thats slightly in his favor. The best line i found is this: Kc3 to e4: Pawn takes pawn d5 is the best counter most players will see as they are going to take the knight and continue the pin, and this is undefendable if black isnt blind. The solution i found is bishop d5 to take back the pawn and sack the bishop. He should retake with queen, other moves i cant find may salvage it, knight f6 takes bishop d5 is probably the correct move as it has him at an advantage, yes, but at least his pin will be blocked and your queen slips out though you're down 2 material. However, if he takes bishop d5 with queen, as most players will, he has instantly lost. Knight e4 takes knight f6 with check must be retaken by pawn g7, if he moves the king either direction, queen e8 is M1. If he takes back with pawn, he is still lost to forced mate; your queen takes his rook with check, then he has to go king g7, and in a WEIRD twist since the white H pawn is on g4; it is rook h1 takes pawn h7, making king g6 forced, and queen g8 is actually Checkmate as his pawns block him in while keeping his own queen out.
Funnily enough Ke6 is the best move at least on a low depth. It's completely winning for White and either Knight to e4 is roughly equal and loses most of the advantage.
@Batman-bh6vw Yea, there are 2 or 3 other lines for trades for black in this position if you go e4 and they win the same material, but in a better position for black. I figured e4 would let you trade off better, but nope, you pretty can't salvage losing something here.
11:54 the funny thing here is that... You dont even have to worry about the queen, just take the pawn kn b7 whit ur pawn on c6... The point is if they take ur queen whit the knight, you take the rook on a8 whit the pawn and make another queen. The opponment can fork ur king and rook but at least the situation is still equal ig
I love your passion for the game! Here’s my two cents: Don’t get lost trying to calculate 4-5 move sequences involving checks and captures. It’s basically guaranteed that you’re going to miss something at your level. Instead, just look for one or two move tactics that win material. That brings me to my next piece of advice that will literally cause you to gain 500 elo: don’t make one move blunders. That’s literally it. Forget tactics, crazy strategies or openings, if you don’t blunder any pieces you will win 100% of games at your level because your opponents will blunders pieces for you.
As a 1200 elo player THIS is the exact 650 elo commentary someone like myself enjoys watching for a good kick. Shit is so funny dude. Thanks for this content xD
he actually does the correct sequence by exchanging his knight for the bishop before taking the rook. if he takes the rook then takes the other with his queen, his knight isnt defended on e5 anymore bc his queen moved.... so then he loses his knight to Qxe5 and the white bishop isnt being lost because the white queen can defend the check and the bishop at the same time by coming back.
@@brendano3735and to add to that even repeating the checks with the knight before going into the forcing variation of taking bishop with knight was the best sequence.
