It took me a while to find that everyone in the game moves in a straight line, except the knight carries a circular radius everywhere it goes. It's helped me visualize and scan better for threats. I look at the plus sign '+' around it and the 8 matching-colored squares touching it are its range of leaps. It was tricky for me at the beginning but now i can better prepare for it
That ending, it was so much Hope Chess, especially last 2 moves. But it is a very fun to watch video, and as a low elo player too, I find these discovered check plays fun as well. well made keep it up

When his pawn was close to your king instead of checking with pawn he could have taken your pawn with queen which would be mate, so you had to take that pawn...If he had taken your bishop with Queen instead of rook he could have been threating mate. Good game. Mind reading is a part of the game. You try to anticipate what your op will do.

If you want to improve, you should try Daniel Naroditsjy's playlist titled speedrun with 70 odd videos. Excellent teacher, drills in the fundamentals very well. I am currently on the video where he is near 1200 rating.
I’m 1900 Elo and to be honest, from how I started and where I am with my vision, tactics, strategies, and knowledge, I can 100% say that your WAYYY above 98% of players in your Elo, the way you think and how you create plans with such vision, like the sacrifice of the rook and use the pawn to Discover check while having the pawn having a free kill on the baited Queen is very impressive for you Elo, that’s seriously rly advance. I really believe if you continue you could become 2000 Elo and more, your already crazy smart for your Elo so keep going for those who started rough.
It’s content creator bias. Same with anything, only uploading the best games. There could be potentially many other games where he lost and just chose to upload these ones. Anyone can play brilliantly or poorly at any level. At 1400ish personally, some games have a 2200 performance rating and others 300. Ultimately though there have been some good tactics spotted in these games, which is always good to see
your doing really well and gaining loads of elo. if i could make one suggestion tho it would be to play 30 minute games because you can put into action, better openings and tactics

People focus on their own plan and miss their opponents options. Luckily this time it worked out. Great vision for the free pawn with the rook though!
how the hell is that a basic tactic boi do you play with a stockfish 14 up your backside. I assume you mean horsey check then pinning with rook but no way a non 2k sees that in a rapid consistently good catch tho

Low elo players either play predictably bad.. or unpredictably bad.. the second ones harder to deal with.
