There is no mate after the move f4. It's not a great move but white is completely winning at 9:46
The blunder was Qb6+, Kh1?? Literally any other move by white would've been fine, blocking with the rook would be best.

as an 1800 player this is how I lost to the lowest-rated player to beat me in blitz (800)
      I set up a mate in 2
Notice omg he has a mate in 1
But he can take my queen
I think obviously he is not going to see the mate he is going to take my queen and get mated
I see he doesn't move for 30 secs, and the clock continues to tick

    PUBLIC CHESS AWARENESS:
The Opening move White did isn’t the greatest way for white to play a Hyper modern line.
It’s better for White to play normally and gradually transform into a Fianchetto or Hyper modern line.
If White plays a Fianchetto to early like your opponent did on move 1, You can try to punish them by having your opponent Bishop stare at granite (I.E Diagonal of Pawns)
If you find yourself struggling against people playing 1.g3 like in video, You can use above advice.
The OP should of put his pawns on d5, c6, & b7.
It would of created a diagonal of Black pawns all facing down White Bishop on g2.
White Bishop would of been useless.
White Bishop wouldn’t want to trade itself for a pawn and a line of pawns would of given bishop no scope or activity.
For the above reasons, White side players try to delay playing moves like g3 till they figure out what set up their opponent might be playing.
    --------------
    Time Stamp: 3:25
Giving up Knight is very bad for white!
    White was messing around.
A Knight is worth 3 points
A Pawn is worth 1 point.
White won 1 point (your e pawn) for free, but trading Knight for another pawn doesn’t really help white.
    It’s a 3 point trade for 2 point trade.
White could of just retreated knight back to f3 square were it was at previously and just been grateful they are up 1 pawn with out having had to sacrificed anything to achieve that 1 point.
    Time Stamp: 4:17
Your not paying attention to what your opponent is doing!
YOU have a plan, BUT YOUR OPPONENT has a plan too.
Sometimes, you have to put your plan on hold to address what your opponent is trying to do.
Your opponent is attacking d5 pawn with Knight on c3 + Bishop on g2.
You are defending the d5 pawn with Knight on f6 + Queen on d6.
At 4:17 in the video, your opponent plays Bg5.
The move Bg5 indirectly attacks d5 pawn because if your opponent trades off his Bishop on g5 for your Knight on f6.
Your d5 pawn loses a defender which opens the flood gates for your opponent to rush in and take d5 pawn for free!
Lucky for you - your opponent didn’t play the move.
You played Re8 which doesn’t address the issue and your opponent didn’t punish you!
    Stronger chess players will.
    Time Stamp: 5:30
All your pieces are defended except the Light Square Bishop!
All your pieces have coordination and are looking amazing!
You, literally, are freaking out for no reason at all.
All you had to do is play Bg6 which defends h7, blocks Queen check, defends Bishop, and counter attacks Queen.
After Bg6, your opponent Queen has to crawl all the way back to the sad square she started at on d1.
White is losing in this position and they have no attack, unless you start panicking for no reason!
You are freaking out over nothing!
    PULL YOUR TOGETHER, MAN!
Strong players don’t bring out their Queen against other strong players because those strong players will slap that hoe right back to where she came from!
We have Templar Knights which can send a Queen straight to hell.
Than we have Bishops which can throw Holy water on that Queen and send her Immortal Soul straight to hell.
If Queen knows what’s good for her, she will wait till some bishops and knights get traded off before showing her ugly face.
Your opponent Queen move wasn’t scary or threatening or amazing.
It was an act of desperation by sad man down Templar knight.
Like fish out of water just flopping around!
You should of just put white out of his mercy!

That 1700 played so bad. You have to respect 700s. By the way when he came in and checked you could have just blocked with the bishop wish would defend the pawn and stop him checking you again. And attacked the Queen so it comes with tempo. You could have completed castling by hand then.

5:12 you can simply just bring your bishop back, both defending your king and attacking the queen. The queen has to move then you bring your king down and you've successfully castled. A good rule of thumb to improve is with your king; always block with a piece that can counterattack the offending piece if it is hanging. Your bishop in that case. Don't defend with the pawn if you want a safe king

Your position was actually good, I think. Your bishops controlled many squares in the center backed up by pawn, knight and King. Queen also controlled squares. Your rooks were connected and free on back row. You were up a piece. King was on a decent square based on position of pieces. The pawn takes bishop might have been a good move by your op,but you still had a decent position. Trading queens early would have been good for you not your ops because he was down a knight. He didn't play like a 1700 player. He didn't seem to consider you would take his knight on that fork. I don't think that was a sacrifice for better position. It was a little too early for that with pieces not yet developed. Good players make mistakes.

Ngl, as a high 1300, I did not see this mating sequence at all, but I also wouldn't have played such dubious chess if I was your friend, the elo gap doesn't feel big enough for that. I would have taken the free pawn early on and then played solid chess until you made a mistake, I wouldn't sacrificed the knight like that. Your ability to find these complicated mating patterns seems to be way ahead of all your other chess skills, I'm always amazed whenever I watch one of your videos.
