@@Mubarak-11Bnah, it ain’t that bad. Magnus certainly has beaten Hans a lot more than Hans has beaten Magnus. But it’s more of a 3:1 ratio or slightly higher. Niemann is ranked 18th in the world. So he’s no slouch. Magnus pretty much had a lopsided record with most GM’s anyways.
@@tonyb9735 lopsided means “unbalanced” . Which certainly fits the bill. And I’ve already said Magnus has beaten Hans a lot more than Hans has beaten Magnus. Tournament wise, yeah, definitely a larger margin. But by game, it’s about 3:1 or 3.25:1 . There’s no disputing Magnus is King. Just saying Hans is better than people give him credit for. It doesn’t matter who your favorite player is. It’s almost certain that Magnus owns them.
3:38 What do you mean by 'the correct square for the bishop' ? Surely, there are only legal moves and illegal moves, and we might argue 'better' squares or 'worse' squares, but I've never heard of 'correct' squares for pieces before.

d4 cxd4 isnt forced, its just common to jam a pawn as a target on d4. Rxe3 is a common strategic theme but it should usually only be played against weaker opposition, e.g. Hans.
Wow, gaining view and subs. Good for you! I didn't know that a pawn was 3 tempe. Heck, I can't even spell tempe. I wonder if anyone ever intentionally makes a mistake just for comments to increase their algorithm. Is there a word for a little self protecting island?? Like 2 knights, a bishop and pawn, or maybe 2 rooks??? Is there a word for this??
I’m not a Hans or Magnus fan but it sure seems like Hans gives Magnus as good a game as anyone. And I sure hear “and here Hans finds the best move” a lot for a “cheater”. I just don’t buy it. Magnus just seems like a crybaby to me.
Honestly i doubt Magnus thinks of Hans as a rival.
It's hardly a rivalry. Hans isn't rated top ten in the world in any format. Magnus is the best to ever do it.
Very well narrated, thank you!
Biggest drama maybe 😂 greatest rivalry implies that Hans can possibly match or beat Magnus in play 😅
He has beat him in play multiple times.
@chomkey their overall score is 8 to 63.... So while you're technically correct on the "multiple times" claim it's still hardly a rivalry...

@@Wargasm54How many times has Hans defeated Magnus in a tournament, rather than a single game? Lopsided doesn't cover it.

The most notorious chess rivalry of all time arguably goes to Morphy and Staunton, although they never even played.
Morphy was far better
Of course. Staunton knew that. That is why he shamelessly avoided him.
The greatest rivalry in chess was Karpov and Korchnoi
How is that a rivalry ?
Great breakdown - thanks!
Great breakdown 🎉 Thanks
One of the most beautiful riveting games ever played - and our dear old friend Hans Niemann was a part of it.
Thanks a lot for showing us this fantastic game.
Love the look of black at the bottom of the screen gives a better visual than the usual top of screen 👍👊
Thank you SQ1C. You’re doing a wonderful thing here 👊
Niemann is easily in the top 100,000 chess players in the United States.

Ah, a variation on the "Square One" opening!
We appreciate that you had pointed out how Hans could have forced a win.
Great commentary, but why the shades?
Because the moves are so dazzling.
@@Fitness4London lol
Raise the stakes. Winner has to get a haircut.
Nice vid 👊
Excellent and instructive analysis. Also, Hans losing gives me life.
Rivalry? That is elevating the facts .
Have to agree. Hans has been more like a mosquito biting an elephant.
This Niemann-Carlsen drama is good for chess.

nice complicated game. thanks

Savvy breakdown that. I certainly wouldnt have lasted as long as Hans managed. 😅
great channel, whats with the insane ads though?
Hans is on fire! Adopted Daniel and giving Magnus something to think about
😂
*21:57* bishop b3, and then put the bishops on d5 & d6 squares
One is the Goat, the other is a scrub.
Ever heard of Kasparov or Karpov?
18:13 what about Ng5?
wow! deep level chess
The variations that they didn't play were the better games.
hans is not his rival lol. hikaru is the closest man to being his rival
CHESS!
I love chess.
Not the most notorious rivalry. To add the the comments.

What's a rivalry? 😅
They are not rivals
i hope magnus was not cheating
Nice
Magnus is "most likely human"???? Nope. He has evolved to another species altogether: Homo latruncularia
This guy this channel should have 100k subs come on folks hit it
I dont think you have any idea what the word rivalry means 😂😂 simply for the intro im clicking off from this nonsense 😅
Hans will eventually crack 2800 one day and shut all the haters up. He'll be a future rival of Gukesh, Firouzja, Nodirbek, Erigaisi and the rest.
Lol ok
What are you having his baby or something?
He can quiet “haters”a-lot sooner by playing silently. He detracts from his game whenever he runs off at the mouth.
Maybe, but for now he should know that he's not Magnus's rival.

Chess has got to be the most boring game there is...
Ru high
1st 😂🎉
Not Spasky v Fischer... clearly weak ass Hans vs magnus is the greatest rivalry.
