The Mustang 1968 is the real American muscle car
But the sound with mustang 2015 is like V6
The early mustangs had a great open feeling inside. No counsel, no high dash, low doorsill. Style was timeless and the wing windows were cool.
But it was ALL about style and power then. Now it's more about safety, emissions, economy and... Profit.

Sound of that old mustang is a melody to my ears.
Nowe Muscle cary nigdy nie będą brzmiały czy wyglądały lepiej niż stare. Spalają mniej, większy komfort i poczucie bezpieczeństwa posiadają, ale stare Chargery, Challengery, Mustangi czy Chevrolety zawsze będą miały więcej duszy niż nowe wyroby tych marek.
Co do dźwięku, to niewiele brakuje. Wystarczy że nowe silniki były wolnossące bez turbo. Znajdź dzisiaj auto z silnikiem wolnossącym w salonie - nie istnieje :D

I have 3 mustangs..
Two 2007s and a 69 Mach 1.
My 07 gt is a tricked out barnburner, and my GF's 07 convertible, is a classy gem.
My 69 Mach 1 is a 351w 2v 4 speed toploader transmission, 3.00 rear gears, long tube headers, dual twin tip exhaust, 4 barrel Edlebrock air gap intake, topped off with a new Holley 650 HP carbeurator. No track lock , but the car still rips and I see absolutely zero need for track lock or anymore power.
My Mach 1 is right at the " Kool spot" not overdone, just enough to say hey, this is an slightly upgraded version of the original base 69 Mach 1, you can't overdo it in my opinion, I love what I did with her.
( I also own a 68 Camaro SS 350 4speed, 3:73 gears.)

I agree, regardless its a mustang who gives a shit the year. You will love it no matter what the generation. The only reason people pick the 68 is the nostalgia. I would take the (15) with the (68) sound. The 15 is more livable.

You're right about that especially when it comes time to work on them. I have to 70 Mustangs they're easy to work on. Today's Mustangs you can't even get your hand under the hood.

It's as though all the car designers of the past died and we were stuck through the eighties and nineties with HORRIBLE car designers (even into the 2000's)... only now we're starting to see a somewhat glimmer of hope with the muscle car "revival" designs. (Dodge, ford etc...) but I still think they don't even come close to the beauty of 65-75 era looks.
Would be sooooo nice to go back to honest all out vintage + modern guts.

The 1968 Fastback looks much cool, more like a muscle car. The 2015 Mustang looks like the old pinto style Mustang front eh 1980s that everyone hated. The 2006-2008 Mustang looked like the 1968, so why did they stop making it? This 2015 looks like my moms car.

I do not care how much faster the new GT is the '68 Bullitt just makes me think "all the angles and proportions in all the right places and POWERFUL". The GT makes me think 4,500 pound very loud traffic slug

As a kid I loved the Mustangs since 1967. From the Mustang II (1974?) and all through the 80's & 90's they kind of sucked... Until 2005. I like the 2010-2014s even better and got a used 2012 this past summer. It may only be the 305HP V6 but it has a 6 speed manual and I love it. I'm not as crazy about the 2015 and newer.

1. Bullitt to nie jest nazwa tego modelu tylko jak już Ford Mustang GT 2+2 Fastback, który został na potrzeby filmu zmodyfikowany
do poziomu 390cu inch Fastback. Wtedy dopiero dopisać że to pojazd stylizowany na ten z filmu Bullitt ponieważ oryginalne były tylko dwa i do dzisiaj jest tylko jeden na świecie ( oryginalny z filmu) i na pewno to nie ten.
2. model z filmu nie miał bocznych listew chromowanych na drzwiach a na pewno też nie miał malowanych pasów.
3. felgi nie od tej wersji opony również nie te bo były bez napisów
4. pierwowzór nie miał logo mustanga i ramki chromowanej w miejscu atrapy chłodnicy
5. lusterko było pomalowane w tym samym kolorze jak samochód i okrągłe a w tym prostokątne, chromowane i dwa a oryginał miał tylko od kierowcy
To tak tylko z pociętego klipu widać a pewnie jak by go tak dokładniej obejrzał to pewnie jeszcze więcej błędów by znalazł więc jak ktoś coś nazywa BULLITT to niech się trochę bardziej postara bo tak to ten samochód jest tylko Fordem Mustangiem GT 2+2 Fastback

Of course the new Mustang will beat the 68, it's had the benefit of years of up grades, but that said which would you rather be seen in an Icon of steel a brut power or the red plastic pig. and in ten years which will be worth more. Which could you work on with common tools?
