- Forget Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, the only thing Ian Higton is excited about this week is his hands-on preview of Skydance's BEHEMOTH Playstation VR2 gameplay! That's right, recently Ian got to play through a beefy demo of the brutal but brilliant Behemoth PSVR2 gameplay and in this video you can find out exactly how the game plays as Ian shows off 15 MINUTES OF NEW BEHEMOTH VR GAMEPLAY! There's melee combat, archery, climbing, scavenging, crafting, grappling and of course, a short look at one of the game's mountain-sized Behemoth boss fights. Got a much better sense of scale seeing how far you tilted head back when the behemoth first showed up and we can actually see the hud
Definitely digging what I've seen of this so far. Like Dark Messiah of Might and Magic had a baby with Shadow of the Colossus, and that baby was a great VR game.
Pretty sure this is exactly what was the sale pitch.
This is what VR needs.
There is nothing like VR, it's just an experience on another level.

@@Brasslantern007 VR in itself is cool, It's cause the games are boring. Nothing good or ambitious comes out, market is just to small sadly.
Just goes to show, when dev's make full use of the PSVR2 capabilities, it's up there with best vr can currently offer.

I'm going to go back and play Saints and Sinners. I started it a couple of times. It's great, but whenever I get jump-scared in VR I get furious at myself for being weak and rage-quit(which is a perfectly healthy reaction I'm sure).

Great footage! I was worried about enemy variety from the other videos shown. Nice to see some different enemies to battle and not just the clone fodder ones from the skydance footage

I know i shouldnt expect triple A visuals but that initial cinematic trialer really painted a different picture in my head.

This game is looking great, I'm super excited for this one!
Honestly wish it could've looked a bit more like the CGI trailer they put out a year ago or so, but gameplay wise this looks REALLY fun. It sounds like they're still working on fine-tuning it and adding extra details and stuff.... which is great to hear. I think this has a chance to be a major hit that could drive a lot of PSVR2 purchases, which could really give the platform the kickstart it needs for more developers to commit to creating for it.
Apparently, it looks a lot better in the headset. It's always hard to judge what it might look like from RUclips, because the social screen outputs are always so stripped back.
Wow, looks really good. I get so tempted to buy a PS5/PSVR2 for these games. Gran Turismo 7 looks so good but then I would want a good steering wheel too.
Its great with dualsense too while you wait to get a wheel

Wish they'd release the demo - it'd be spoiler free as the demo has been built from elements that exist in the game, it's not an actual level from the full game (according to Without Parole anyway)
That is correct, up until the boss fight which is how it appears in the game so does technically have spoilers!
@@eurogamerI could imagine there being only 4ish behemoths in the game, so having one spoiled could be significant.
My Quest² is getting a bit long in the tooth, and so is my gaming PC. That means I'm going to have to get the Quest³(lite) AND the PlayStation VR2. Man, I should have picked a cheaper passion.

@@VRnamek Yeah, I've seen Ian cover VR since Minecraft came to PSVR. My comment was a reference to the fact that IGN's VR coverage has been terrible to non-existant, but now they have Ian to bolster coverage on this aspect of the industry.

You have the grappling hook, effectively the same thing.
@@Visionoflegacy I personally don't feel that way, but the grabbing hook is totally cool by the way 😎👌 The ability to jump freely is priceless in these kind of games.
This kinda looks disappointing. Blocking you just watch the sword swing fully through and there's health bars above the enemies, that shit is so lame. Really hope I can turn off the health bars, so unimmersive and quite honestly I find it stupid. Hoping there's no set death animations and bodies are interactive, though maybe I haven't seen people try everything yet (edit) I really do not like the set hit animations, it doesn't look Physics based like they said
Still looks rather clunky & vomit inducing in a lot of places. Especially when you start climbing on the giant.

@@basedplants play the game though the gameplay is awesome and the world is bigger and more deep. It also just got a graphics update but idk I’m a gameplay over graphics player any day of the week.
