Trivium as a whole is literally the definition of workhorse. Every one of them putting 110% into this whole performance.
Why is this so much better than the album version? I'm not one of those people who typically likes live versions over album versions, but this just seems to have so much more creativity and passion.

yea if you scream it can happen im a guitarist to i tried screaming didnt work out lhh but the type of screming matt uses builds up spit and it also depeneds on the person some ppl build up more spit than others u know what i mean

This song is phenomenal. There are so many aspects to this song. The harmonizing, the melodies, the shredding, the sick drum fills, the time signature...it's a god damn musician's orgasm! Fucking love Trivium, definitely one of my top favorite bands!

I love watching this video to see them all trade lines as they play. I loved this song when I first heard it and when I saw this video later I was taken back a little at the difference in Paolo and Corey's vocals from the album recording... but then it grew on me. After seeing so many bands (usually metal or electronic rock) that write albums they can't perform live, it is great to see Trivium play this song as close to the record as possible without leaving out backing vocals. What's more, it's great to see 3 amazing musicians play well while also juggling singing. More than I can do, and I try.

It's one of those things where I wish all bands had such amazing sounding drums but if every band did then this one wouldn't be as special. Love the music!🤘🏻

Corey sings it now because matt fucked his voice.
Corey does the super repetitive screams live these days. Matt does the main stuff. Blew his voice in 2014, and Corey was doing all the screaming 'til the very beginning of 2016. Matt does a lot of screaming, but it's basically 50/50 between the two now. Corey does false chords, which sound a lot louder but use a lot more air. Matt uses frys, which are more quiet, but use a LOT less air. There's shit Corey can't do, and there's shit Matt just doesn't want to do. Honestly though, it works perfectly live.
Damnit Matt stop spitting out your vocal cords and making Corey pick up the mess!

as i vocalist and guitarist i can say that when you do these types of screams, you actually drag shit out of your throat and chest lmfao. so its easier to spit it out rather than swallow it. i usually never tell my bitches that though lmfao

This concert was insane live in a small concert venue in spokane washington. Amazing album and live show. Trivium is at the top of the metal industry.
This guy has a clean,clear scream. It doesn't sound forced or labored.

Without Paulo vocals, many Trivium songs would sound too plain and simple. Anyone agrees?? I fucking love the choruses in Trivium!! It happens the same to me with Killswitch Engage; without the Adan D vocals wouldn't be the same thing!
Paolo hasn't ever recorded his singing except for Shattering the Skies Above (I'm 99% sure). It's a shame because his singing is fucking great. Same goes for Corey's screams.

This is legit the best version of In Waves, wish it always sounded like this live but unfortunately it doesn't things get mixed wrong and stuff and Corey's screaming especially on the last "in waves" is immense like wow that dude can scream if he just worked on it a little I would want him doing front up screaming on the next album (after silence in the snow which is already out at the time of this comment)
Funny enough I saw them at a club and they sounded better there then they did at a big festival I saw them at later.
