Saaaame, gotta be my 14th time seeing bullet I think, I went to there first ever headline tour in the uk in 2005, and ever tour after until temper temper came out
Guys from BFMV and Trivium : thank you for sharing these videos to celebrate the tour and 20th anniversary of both debut albums. There is so much joy and passion, it really makes me smile and happy every time
My 2 biggest influences for guitar playing talking about the riffs I have loved learning as a 17 year old. I’m now 35 and still love playing songs from these albums. I can’t wait for this tour to come to Australia 🇦🇺
There's no way Tuck doesn't know about Ember to Inferno, imo. I think he views Trivium's debut akin to A7X's- kids jamming with a couple of decent songs here and there. Ascendancy was Trivium's first technically tight album, and the album that put them on the map. Imo, it's fair to consider it Trivium's debut.
@@mkw3980I haven’t googled this to fact check or anything but isn’t the crusade in between ember to inferno and ascendancy? Edit: looked it up and I’m wrong, crusade came AFTER Ascendancy
Each artist putting their whole soul into their work creates that unique DNA. Anyone can chug and junt, but you can really hear each of their personalities in the playing. Two of the greatest in metalcore history.
My first near-concussion was as a 16-year old seeing Trivium at the Colchester Arts Centre in Essex, UK. They were touring their Ascendency album and 20 years later I still think of that gig. Matt was also out the front lifting weights and my friend joined him. Weeks later, I went to see Bullet at the London Astoria (RIP) for The Poison tour. These albums have stayed with me for over half of my life and I’ll always love Trivium and Bullet for a lifetime of metal goodness 🙏
Amazing hearing Matt x Matt talking to each other as real fans, basically saying what we would to them! Rain and Suffocating being pivotal riffs for every guitarists \m/ loving this so much \m/
So damn stoked to see these two titan bands together for this tour (especially after seeing both live at festival stops, as well as headliners separately). As a guitar player, as well, it is very inspiring to see this content 🤘
Absolutely adored this entire video ❤ two musicians teeming with passion, inspiration, and congeniality in front of a camera will always be wholesomely entertaining
This is so cool! The big bands I grew up with were at each other's throats so this kinda thing would never of happened. It's cool to do a time warp back to the 2000's with you
I learned so much from this session about why i prefer by far their earlier stuff, and they kinda put words on that themselves... xD They were young, "fearless" like they said, they put together things that should'nt have worked together and just trust their guts at the time, and that's what actually gave birth to the masterpieces we had. I honestly don't listen to their newer stuff unfortunately, even though i tried, but til today i very often dig their old stuff on repeat, and through this session what i understood is that they kinda got trapped by their experience and kinda "veteran compose" instinctly things that are meant to fit together on paper, which for me gives something that lacks a lot of guts... I don't know if i'm the only one, but from Ember to Inferno to In Waves, and from The Poison to Fever, those were the only albums that really reached through me. And I kinda feel trapped in the past for many bands like this... Only In Flames kinda did a back to the roots or As I Lay Dying that did'nt change, but for the rest, be it All That Remains, Asking Alexandria, Escape The Fate, Bring Me The Horizon, Parkway Drive, and many other bands that don't come to mind right now, all their "evolutions" did'nt reach to me and it kinda became a fatality for me that a band someday will transform into something that doesn't speak to me, so far only Breakdown Of Sanity keeps me on road, but for the rest it's complicated, and i come to ask myself if the bands get less inspired over time or if it's me that becomes way too old and picky, i don't know... xD
Both Matts are such a great persons. I'm glad I grew up to their music. Tears Don't Fall was one of the main reasons I picked up my electric guitar. Been a fan since the first day I heard classic BFMV songs, and still am to this day:)
Talking about the Media, I remember Kerrang! turning on Both Bands when the 2nd Albums came out and I just didn't get why, both have been consistently releasing bangers for 20 years
Heafy: Yeah so I was listening to loads of German Metal Core and Swedish Death Metal so it really influences this riff Tuck: Yeah so me and the boys were drunk and we were just fucking around in the studio and this riff just came out 🤣 love em
They say they sound nothing like Metallica but that’s what hooked me when I discovered these two bands. Finally some young guys got it right I heard their influences but they were both really unique but definitely early on the thrash influence was undeniable.
This 2 dudes, make me rethink my guitar path, i was always on the solo part, buuuuuut the way they play rhythm....... love it, i listen to bfmv since high school ( 2010) but Trivium is alo awesome.
Two metalhead gentlemen talking about their passion, ideas and influences. Simply beautiful.
Yeah i like this ❤❤❤ very interesting
Matt talks to Matt about Matt's guitar influences and Matt responds with his own influences and thoughts.
Truly a Matt moment.
My 2 favorite fellow Matts
Missed out on all three lol
Just need Matt Shadows for the Matt trio
This means everything to me. To see my 2 favorite frontmen jamming.. man it’s almost emotional 🥹🥹🥹
100% agreed. Can’t wait to see them on tour again soon!
i like it when matt plays the guitar
Wherever he is right now, James Hetfield is thinking "yes, my sons".
😂😂
Yeahhhhh
@@danlevy9962 Don't you mean "YEAH YEAH!" ?
BFMV's riffs are so tasteful yet so simple.
Agree. Hand of Blood’s intro is very simple but hits like a truck
I’m now 31 years old.
Been waiting for this tour and videos like this since I was literally 15.
This is awesome
Same dude, I'm so excited!
The two best rhythm guitarists in metalcore together, this is good stuff.
Yessssss can’t wait for next Thursday to see you both live in Manchester!!!
Same
same!!
Same! 1st time seeing trivium, 6th time I've seen bullet!
You're lucky man, I tried to get on their show in 2000x in Russia, but unfortunately couldn't 😭
Saaaame, gotta be my 14th time seeing bullet I think, I went to there first ever headline tour in the uk in 2005, and ever tour after until temper temper came out

Oh vaya 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Made me laugh too😂

4:58 "we get so much money out of it" and he is not wrong lol
I think Matt is a millionaire by now😂
@@khumgangte9246he already is for quite a few years.
I'm excited to see you guys in Brazil!
Looking forward to your Vienna show! Two of my favourite childhood bands, oh my fuckin gooood, lets goo. ❤
Very polite from Matt H. not to correct Matt T. about these albums being the debut for each band.

Matt Heafy!!! I remember the early days… Ascendancy still their best album 🙏

Two legendary amps too each everywhere
If I had a nickel for every Matt that had vocal issues while in a famous metal band I like, I'd have three nickels. And two of them are right here!
