This is a great version on Chuck Berry's and Electric Light Orchestra's old hits. I am really happy for ELO Part Two and The Orchestra. The ELO sound will live on forever, and rock on forever!
I cant believe it looking at this video coz it seems so long ago but "I was there!" Cant see myself but I know exactly where I was in the audience. I remember all of the Moscow Symphony Orchestra and Mik Kaminski (Cello Player) their bows all were neon! Wild.
Nathan, I was at the concert in ELO's home town of Birmingham. It was captured on VHS video only I believe and on the live album with the long-winded title 'Performing ELO's Greatest Hits Live Featuring The Moscow Symphony Orchestra' . Mik Kaminski, former ELO cellist Hugh McDowell, and former ELO bassist Kelly Groucutt were part of the live band, with Kelly Groucutt sharing lead and backing vocals with Eric Troyer, Pete Haycock (Climax Blues Band) and Neil Lockwood. I'll try and upload the VHS.
Cooper 1019, Nobody forced you to watch it, but remember when this was recorded Jeff Lynne was playing at being a Traveling Wilbury. He lost interest in ELO in 1986 when he disbanded the trio calling itself Electric Light Orchestra. ELO Part 2 kept the fans happy by playing to sell out venues around the globe. Actually ELO was Roy Wood's idea in the first place, not Jeff Lynne's, Lynne didn't stay true to Wood's original plan for ELO. Lynne changed the bands direction, they went from a Progressive Rock band to a Pop Group under Lynne's leadership. Open your mind and stop talking like a pillock.
@@davidmacgregor5193 Jeff Lynne is a talented guy no doubt about it, but his ego is out of this world so fuck him!! he is a fucking selfish prick , he was talking shit all the time about Kelly RIP, he never try to mend fences with him (Kelly) so fuck that jeff asshole
best arrangements, best version. I have a CD from ELO II. They are really good musicians.
I was at this show.
Can anyone post this concert in better visual quality? But thank you for posting. ELO IIs first album and tour were the best.
Fantastic post! Love the segue from the Moscow Symphony to Pete Haycock's lead guitar! Awesome clip...
Remember seeing these guys in 1998 at the festival theatre in Edinburgh they were awesome.
They did nearly 2 and half hours of hits it was wonderful
Yep. It's actually BETTER without Jeff Lynne.
Best arrangement of Roll Over Beethoven I've ever heard!!!!!!!!
