Jeff Lynne is the best overall musician ever!!! Let’s hope he will tour in 2022!!! Best live concerts I have ever been to are ELO concerts.
Some facts about Jeff Lynne (ELO)...First, he is a very humble man, simply because this Music Genius is not interested in fame, the limelight, and money, he just loves to create great music. Jeff Lynne is one of the most versatile musicians ever, this is why he is considered by his peers to be among the greatest. He didn't stick to one style of music because, after decades, it gets boring. Jeff has done progressive Rock, Symphonic Rock - Pop, New wave, and Disco.
Everything he does turns to gold. He even flirted with Country music. From 1972 to 1986 (During 14 years) Jeff Lynne's Electric Light Orchestra has had more top 40 hits than any other group in the world... 51 years later they still play in sold-out Arenas, festivals and Stadiums. During Jeff Lynne's ELO 2019 Tour, many reviews agreed in saying they are the best live Classic Rock Band in the world still touring and Jeff Lynne is a Music Genius( From Forbes Magazine and the Washington Post).
ELO is in the Rock Hall of Fame. Lynne is on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame and Birmingham Walk OF Fame. Jeff Lynne’s ELO won the Best Classic Rock Band plus Lynne won the best Songwriter award ( ASCAP ) in 2019 for his fantastic contribution over the years. They were killing it in the early 70’s so that would have made you 5 or 6 at the time. I was a teenager back then Great music for sure.

ELO is the greatest. I first saw them at the Pontiac Silverdome in 1978 and they were playing in a spacecraft shaped saucer with all their equipment and the band members inside and the top half of the spacecraft was raised revealing ELO and the concert was the greatest. ELO is by far one of the best rock bands of all time .Ozzie from the Detroit area.

84 today, saw them at Tacoma Dome 2019, came over from Brisbane, Australia to see my Son and his wonderful Wife, and by coincidence Jeff and ELO were playing. It was the best concert I have ever been to (and I've seen a few over the years, including the Beatles in 1964?).

Kevin Doucette I wouldn’t say it is a ELO song, it is actually a cover. The original was by Chuck berry, and then was also famously covered by The Beatles. But nevertheless, a great rendition.
1st ELO song I ever heard in 73 & from there I was hooked . Little did Jeff know his music would become immortal .

They have some versions that are out of this world, from last century.
This was a good rendition, even with their staging by Spinal Tap at the end, LOL.
I've had to listen to this at least a hundred times over the last couple of months I'm an old-school guy and this is what you call a jam

Great opening and great backing by the string ladies who are really talented and Jeff is not just a brilliant voice but a mean lead guitarist to boot. Just notice how much the musicians and singers enjoy themselves as the music they play is so infectious. Notice that the bass player is playing a left hand guitar but the strings are the wrong way around.
Yeah, I noticed that too, thought I was seeing things. I wonder why he doesn’t just play a right hand guitar.
I really appreciate you filming this in such a high quality. I was there that night and it was my first time seeing Jeff Lynne. This year I’ll be doing it all again for the second and last time at the same venue.

As a kid me and my mate Kevin would listen to ELO in the garage. I was Jeff Lynn on lead vocals and shovel and Kevin was Bev Bevan on 3 upturned buckets and 2 wooden spoons! Great Times lol.

My wife and I saw them a week before this concert in Toronto. Tickets weren’t cheap but I never regretted spending the money. Fantastic show!
Oh yes, they were brilliant. Money I didn't really have to spare, but it was his first tour in a decade... and it couldn't have been better spent. Fantastic live band.

This maybe Chuck Berrys song but ELO made it a masterpiece ,This was the first 45 of theirs I bought and it was the first one that was so long it used up both sides of the record, I grew up an Elvis fan and they referenced blue suede shoes, Carl Perkins song Elvis sung when Carl was laid up in the hospital keeping his song alive

ELO was born out of the British band The Move in which Lynne had played. He still looks like (in edit) Roy Wood (who went on to form Wizzard). Loads of talent in Birmingham in the '60s and '70s.
