Jeff Lynne is the best overall musician in the Music Industry. He is one of the best composer-songwriters and producers ever. Long live Jeff Lynne's Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), please Tour in 2022!
It's strange how your taste in music changes. I hated Abba when I was a teenager but now I appreciate their brilliance, not as brilliant as ELO though whom I have been a massive fan of since 1976.
Same here as the others...I thought it was too soft, lol. Now I'm disappointed I didn't realize, at the time, Jeff Lynne for the genius he is. I really missed out at the time, but I don't anymore.
I first met Jeff &the band in the 70s, I was stage hand at Flint Mi I M A. Auditorium. They came in with a couple of semi trucks with ?Laser Eqiptment , Stringed instrument s All the hands said , What's this all about? After set up we did sound checks and they started practicing, Every one just sat and were amazed at what we were hearing! Been a fan ever since! Their absolute geniuses of music! After working that show I've been to see them every time they got close to here. Had to buy tickets, then ,didn't get paid for those shows, but was well worth it!!
I was there with my favorite person. She died last year. I played this the day before she got took off life support. I hope you heard that Emily. You and me and that moment will never be out of my head
I'm so sorry for your loss. I know what you mean, I lost my best friend, my wife, almost 4 years ago and I still can't get her out of my head. I still wear my wedding ring.. I miss her so much.
One of the best songs from one of the greatest 70s bands. Jeff Lynne and his musical genius will live on long after all of us have passed. It has been 50 years and this song sounds fresh out of the box. There will never be another ELO or band that sounds as great as these guys and girls!
Same, I’m only 16 so I’m really hoping I can see one of his concerts if he comes back to the US on tour, he’s been my favorite musician for over 3 years now and I started listening to him 3 years ago, and he’s been such a good impact on my life with his songs
I've seen ELO 3 times, starting in the 80's. EVERY show has been awesome, with the best sound production hands down. You wont be disappointed, hopefully by summer 2021 concerts will resume.
I’m so glad my wife and I saw them in Toronto July 2019 especially with everything that happened in 2020. I hope we can control this pandemic and Jeff does another North American tour I will be there again God willing.
We did not realise how lucky we were to have such Musical Maestros as Jeff Lynne and his band. Looking back , we played ElO so much in the 70's camping ect..now I really get it how lucky we were! Thanks so much Jeff and band.
Your comment was definitely on The Mark,,,, He was a musical genius,,,,, I saw them in Red Rock and I’ll never be The Same,,,, Can’t Seem to Get IT Outta My Head
Jeff Lynne's ELO 2020 Tour honestly for what is out today, there is no doubt about it. looking back over the sweep of history, this particular stage version is not only elo's best ever, but it stands proudly with just about anything else that has ever happened
@@richardparra4317 Saw them in Montreal in 1976, saw Jeff Lynne's ELO in NYC 2016, 2018 and 2019 in Toronto, I feel so lucky. 2019 in Toronto was the best concert i have ever seen in my life. Let's hope they will tour in 2021-2022 in North America. Thanks for your comment! Stay safe.
I have always been an ELO fan. Even back with it wasn't cool among my friends to like this type of music! I remember back in the 80's when a local radio station that would play entire albums after midnight on Saturday night, played ELO. It was the first time time I heard ELO and was blown away that someone had made great music that was different to pop and rock n roll music of the 80's. It's amazing that Jeff still sounds like he did back then. There are a lot of other very big and popular musicians that can not sing they way they did in their twenties.
I didnt get into music until i was in my 40s. Before it was just something to make noise in the background. Now im 52 and listen everyday to something and just love it. This is 1 of my fav bands. Wish i could make up for all that lost time.
Every time that Jeff & ELO Play it's not just a concert but a life event. There's meaning for me in every song , every note a past hidden meaning. Some good, some bad but all part of my being. Thanks to you ELO !
Rock on!!- I came to the same conclusion- with Zeppelin pushing a hard third- Jeff Lynne is the master of Orchestral Rock- a sound that will live forever- a certified genius- especially composition and technical production- a consistent and resonating mystery- at least to me ✌
I was one of the first to see "Eldorado Overture / Can't Get It Out Of My Head" live at the Philly show back in July when it made it's tour debut. What a hi-light!
Great song written and sung by a musical genius. Great version of one of the most melodic songs ever written. My admiration is to the three ladies who play the cello and violin as in the opening overture they are working hard and their melodic sound makes this a very soulful and heart felt arrangement. ELO is by far the best live band and all their musician are talented and play with a tightness for so many musicians and singers. Kudos to the sound guys who can make or break a performance.
I uploaded a cpl performances, & on one of two...if you wait; he says: "Now I'm going to do one from my #other band" #TravelingWilburys & brings out Dhani Harrison to sing his Dad's part !!! #Magic Pure #Magic !!!

I've been fortunate enough to hear the band three times in Jeff's hometown of Birmingham during their various UK tours in recent years; they are absolutely brilliant and songs such as this, "Telephone Line" and "Wild West Hero" sound so fresh they could have been written last week rather than 40+ years ago.

I honestly cannot think of a bad song that he has ever written.
Let’s not forget Richard Tandy and his arrangements. An incomparable contribution to the ELO sound.
Totally agree.
For sure
Also the late, great Louis Clark, the man who scored the strings, horns, etc., and basically put the O in ELO.
