I was at this concert, been an ELO fan all my life, ELO part ll never got the recognition they deserved, the 2 albums they released were bloody good, long live every version of ELO.
I was at this concert in 91 with my Uncle Dave. We sang and danced all night. The Moscow Symphony Orchestra were fantastic too. Sadly Dave passed away a couple of months ago and seeing this on my feed brought back wonderful memories. RIP Uncle Dave, you were definitely an honest man.
30 years later we are still looking for an honest man. WOW, how point on this song is to what our current leaders are (a bunch of scandals). Thanks for posting!!
LOVE KELLY, always will admire the really good man, and excellent musician that he was. He was never appreciated for the great talent that he was. It is time he is shown the respect he deserves!!!!!!
Dla mnie to przebój wszechczasów zespołu Electric Light Orchestra Part Two,w dodatku mam kompletną dyskografie Electric Light Orchestra Part Two.A poza tym pierwsza płyta CD zespołu Electric Light Orchestra Part Two to tak jak sluchałbym nowego zespołu z bardzo dobrym wokalistą jakim jest Eric Troyer,a perkusista Bev Bevan robi swoje,a Louis Clark genialne gra orkiestrą symfoniczną, tutaj jeszcze jest dwóch muzyków jak Neill Lockwood i Pete Haycock.Polecam pierwszą płytę CD ELO Part Two to fantastyczna płyta CD.Chociaz jestem fanem zespołu Electric Light Orchestra to też jestem fanem zespołu Electric Light Orchestra Part Two, bo Electric Light Orchestra Part Two to kontynuacja dawnego ELO.
I suppose opinion will always be split! This a very good song by Troyer! When they first apeared there was still that old ELO presence McDowell. Kaminski, Bevan, Groucutt and Lou Clarke on strings, then progresively the ELO factor became more watered down as members left, Then Kellys death! I am not a ''only Jeff Is ELO'' guy!, but likewise jeffs Zoom thing was not ELO either! its a shame both parties could not get together!
Met most of the band pictured here several times over the years. 20+ wonderful concerts and met some great fans, too. This is my favorite song by Part 2. And yes, I am a Jeff fan, too. Can't wait for the Hollywood Bowl concerts in September.
I'd all but worn out my old VHS copy of this concert; thanks for posting these ELO Part 2 clips. I saw ELO Part 2 in southern California at the time their second studio album was relieased -- shortly after this concert was filmed; they were great. Unfortunately, lead-guitarist Pete Haycock had already left the band to pursue film soundtrack work, but it's great to see/hear him in this clip. These guys did a very credible job of performing the old ELO tunes as well as crafting good originals.
Great stuff. Good job these boys kept the ELO flag flying. As much as I love Jeff Lynne, he can't be bothered touring. These, many with ELO experience are quite brilliant. All power to The Orchestra...especially Kelly RIP.
Electric Light Orchestra part two w swoim przeboju Honest Man , lubię słuchać muzyki z tej płyty CD , drugi skład zespołu Electric Light Orchestra wchodzi Eric Troyer,Bev Bevan Louis Clarke Mike Kamiński , Kelly Grouttout .
I had the great pleasure of meeting ELO Part Two at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre in 2001....Honest Men is definately my favourite. Had pics with whole band. REST IN PEACE KELLY X
I wish somebody would rerelease the concert on album and release it on dvd, whole. Because the album was only released with ELO tracks with the single exception of Thousand Eyes.
So happy I've found this song after so very long time of desperate search. I think there's no way really to argue which E.L.O. staff is better. Still a great music.
Great song, good video to show that the mullet lived!! Pete Haycock as the guitarist, does not do him justice. It is like he was hidden away and not featured for the excellent guitarist he is. You can still see him play on my you tube channel.
@Defyfulness They do three or four normally at the average gig, there was three as part of a set of the second act last year. One more tomorrow, Thousand Eyes and one other one. Obviously the big ELO numbers is what most people want to hear, but some of these tracks, Honest Men inparticular is very very good live.
do you have any more of this concert? Im looking for the ELO Part II video of Living thing from 1991, i saw it along time ago, but its no longer up. There is the 1995 version, but that is slightly different, because of the line up change.
Let's put this Jeff Lynne v E.L.O. Part II argument to rest, E.L.O. died after Roy Wood left to form Wizzard. E.L.O. was Woody's brainchild in 1968, Lynne joined The Move in February 1970 only if Roy Wood agreed to go ahead with his E.L.O. project. Pressure from the E.L.O. management namely Don Arden towards Wood's future plans for E.L.O. caused Wood to leave to preserve his friendship with Lynne. Wood had a string of hit singles to his name with The Move, Lynne had only just got his first hit single with "10538 Overture". Wood realised that he had more chance of success due to his solid track record so he left E.L.O. to Lynne. Wood's idea of E.L.O. was as a progressive rock outfit with orchestration, under Lynne's leadership they became a watered down version of Wood's creation with pop laded hooks backed by strings. Lynne went on to fortune and fame as the sole leader of E.L.O. thanks to Roy Wood's foresight. Wood could have stayed with E.L.O. and forced Lynne out of the band, what would have happened to Jeff Lynne after that? He'd already written off his former band "The Idle Race" because he couldn't write a hit single for them, he'd then have to start all over again with just one hit single to his name. Lynne eventually sold out E.L.O. to commercialism, he owes Roy Wood a debt of gratitude for giving him the chance to prove himself to the record buying public. No Roy Wood, no real E.L.O.
Thank fuck Roy Wood left, having to skip past See My Baby Jive and that Christmas song every time I listened to ELO's greatest hits would be a pain in the arse.
Thank God Roy Wood left and Jeff Lynne went on to greatness while very few people even know who Roy Wood is nowadays outside of the UK. Jeff was the genius behind all their great great songs. Not Roy Wood. Good Lord man get a grip on yourself.
@@JQ127-c4e Roy wishes he'd written a few songs as great as Lynne... He's good, but Jeff proved over and over what a great writer he became. That original post is such a posture.
Thomas Andersen What are you talking about??? It's NOT just Bev is is the entire band only missing Jeff Lynne and Richard Tandy. Eric Troyer on lead vocals on this song but Kelly is right beside him and you can see Louis and Mik too quite clearly.
umm really? Have you seen videos of the current ELO tour... Sounds more like ELO than this did. I saw this band in 1993 and it was awful..Musicianship was good.If they stuck to originals I would give them a pass, but to perform music that someone else wrote and performed makes you nothing more than a cover band....
I have to disagree this song is okay it's not bad but the fact that they went on tour and we're singing Jeff Lynne songs that was a turn off write your own music don't sing someone else's songs despicable I'm glad they were sued
The lyrics to this song are more meaningful now than ever before.
I was at this concert, been an ELO fan all my life, ELO part ll never got the recognition they deserved, the 2 albums they released were bloody good, long live every version of ELO.
The best orchestral arrangements are in Honest Men and Thousand Eyes!
Wonderful!

A song for the times 2020. Written in 1991! Ahead of its time...!
It gets better the more I watch it. I bought the album when it came out and wasn't dissapointed. Great work Bev for getting the band together!
Ka pozdrawiam wszystkich członków elo i sympatyków
Great song. Listening to the lyrics, it could've been written yesterday...
Brilliant band
I came here for "the Orchestra"! Outstanding song!
Mi orquesta favorita!! 😍👏👏👏👏👏👏 Enero 25, 2020.

Personally i think ELO part 2 sounded better than Jeff Lynne's ELO.
Not so hard to figure out. Jeff Lynne was like the 5% of ELO.
@@casidiablo665 5%? Jeff Lynne? Yeah right. More like 99%.
The best album sincee out of the blue perhaps even better

@foamy38 It's from the album "Electric Light Orchestra Part Two" released in 1991
This is great... Is there a DVD of this concert?
two thumbs up

ELO 2 do an amzing song! Much better than ELO 1. Bloody hell. Well done Robin Trower. Thanks for that piece of wonder :-)
prague pete ELO ONE IS THE GREATEST OFF ALL TIME
PLUS JEFF LYNNE WROTE AND PRODUCED MOST OF THE SONGS THEY PERFORM LIVE
Robin Trower ?
@@dinopappous6639 I think they mean Eric Troyer on keyboards and lead vocals
Still hoping they would do a 4th album.

this is like the Stones touring without Jagger, Richard, Wood and Watts
sounds like Eric had a slight cold.

I'm an honest men!.
Woah they actually tried for once to write an actually good original song
the drummer is the only original member as far as I know...just sad

correct. ELO part II was more Electric Light Orchestra than Jeff Lynne's ELO will ever be.
