      I have had my DH Premium since April and LOVE the screens. I've owned a 96 GT and an 03 Cobra Terminator. I really enjoy being able to change the gauge clusters and they recently updated it with the 99-01 SVT Cobra cluster [which also happens to be the 03-04 cluster] and love it. The second screen provides PLENTY of visual landscape to finally make everything usable instead of a calculator screen.

    Twice in the video you recommend skipping the "big brakes" yet at 12:13, in a non-controlled test admittedly, it looks like the Dark Horse stopped a good 25-40 feet shorter than your base GT w/o the performance brakes. That is not insignificant, and even at more normal speeds a few feet or inches could make the difference in avoiding a collision.
    The performance brakes are a separate option and seem like a valid choice by way of safety to consider.
    (Acknowledging that quicker braking may increase the risk of the guy behind you not reacting fast enough...can't have everything.) 😀

I know a lot of the chassis is carry over, but still like to see how it does over a longer period of time. Sorry to see it go, I am Happy Ford still has a great V8 Mustang. It will be a sad day when the Mustang becomes electric or a four cylinder hybrid. Also, Great job to Ford for offering a powerful V8 that can get 30 miles per gallon on a trip, that ten speed really seems to finally be tuned in with the engine well.

I am sure there is a cost/benefit calc involved for the RUclips auto channels i.e. the review value of keeping the car around longer versus flipping the asset before it depreciates too much.

Mustangs have never been that small, except for maybe the Mustang II. You're audience here are car people, and know they're cars. So if you're talking about non car people, they wouldn't know what a GR86 is anyway.

    Its so sad seeing all these people in the comments saying the auto is better because its faster. The death of the drivers car must be studied. Nobody lives on track or street races their car everyday, so being the fastest does not matter. Only if you care about being able to say your 0-60 time is this. Its about the driving experience, the base gt auto feels so soulless. Its about the driving experience, how connected you are to the vehicle.

    It might be time to send the videographers to driver training so they can learn how to drive stick. Every time there is an option to get a manual you guys get the automatic and say that some of the people on the TFL team can't drive a manual. Your job is to review cars, trucks, and motorbikes so to give viewers a proper review you must include manual transmission vehicles. I learned to drive a manual transmission truck when I was in elementary school so it isn't difficult. To get my driver's license I took a driver training course with "Young Drivers" and decided to choose a manual transmission car so they could show me the proper way to drive a manual. I was even shown that you can shift gears without touching the gas pedal. The most important thing I learned was clutch control. Learning from a professional is better than learning from a friend or relative that might teach you some bad driving habits.

    • @aerynlovell4754
      @aerynlovell4754 19 дней назад +1

      @DV-ou1yu Not everyone on the planet. But if your job is to review cars and trucks, then it is part of your job. It doesn't matter if you are in front of the camera or behind it. If you don't choose to buy or review a manual transmission vehicle because some of the people on the staff didn't bother to learn how to shift gears and operate a clutch then you're not giving your viewers a full review of all the options available. If they reviewed boats but didn't leave the dock because the videographers can't swim, that would be a horrible boat review. They recently bought an old analog army truck that would have been perfect with a manual, but once again had to get an automatic transmission because some people can't operate a vehicle with 3 pedals.

    • @DV-ou1yu
      @DV-ou1yu 19 дней назад

      @@aerynlovell4754 I get what you're saying, but look at it like this....more people on the team drive automatics than manual so why not go the direction that increases the overall efficiency of the company and maintains team morale.
      Just because they review cars doesn't mean they are obligated to test manuals. Although you feel owed as a viewer, you don't pay their salary. Alsk that boat-swimming analogy is pretty bad as it doesn't refer to operating a boat in general at all. Lol Not trying being a smart ass, just pointing it out.

    • @aerynlovell4754
      @aerynlovell4754 19 дней назад

      @DV-ou1yu The point of the boat analogy is that you can't review how the boat works when it is at the dock. I have seen countless videos on RUclips that are car/truck reviews that take place in a parking lot. Many of these "reviews" are nothing more than starting the vehicle, quoting the stats that you can get from the manufacturer's website, flipping switches, and opening & closing doors. I don't feel that the guys at TFL owe me anything. But if they don't want to compare the pros and cons of the manual transmission vs the automatic on a particular model of vehicle then it's not a proper "impartial" review.

    I always enjoy laughing at these ridiculous UTube videos whether intentional or otherwise. Let's buy the cheapest V8 mustang we can find and then complain about the interior because we didn't want to pay for the premium package. Then complain about the 10 speed auto after beating everything else on the road that has a manual. Thanks for the laughs, truly entertaining. And no, I'm not going to buy a car from the dealership that paid you to post this commercial.
