Id never tell anyone to pass on a scat if they want one, theyre great, strong cars, no question, but the rt is a satisfying alternative for exactly why you say here. its a very fun car to drive daily, its comfortable as hell, its beautiful, you still get a pretty healthy amount of power. im an older dude now, i dont care as much about racing , i barely have in the last 10 years really, so im totally satisfied with my rt with exhaust and a couple other little mods. its doesnt take too much btw to wake them up nice.... if youre concerned about hanging with the big boys, get the scat, if you dont really care about being the fastest, get an rt, its a great reliable muscle car
In my opinion the 392's is the "garage" car i feel the rt is more the everyday car
After driving both drivetrains, the R/T was better for a daily driver. The Scat Pack at 30 mph with a 3500-4500 rpm quick push off the throttle got it up to 60 mph with one issue, it broke traction on dry pavement. I can't imagine doing that in traffic to pass someone (rural highway speeds are 60 mph my state but some folks drive crazy slow). Driving in rain would be a no go in the Scat Pack. Not to mention the mid grade fuel versus premium, and the mpg while doing a little city driving. Goes to budget and expectations. My R/T hit 60mph in 5.2 seconds easily without launch control. Racer X has duplicated it and showed the R/T is a great safe daily driver. Plus thieves want the Scat Pack and Hellcats. Honestly mpg stuff isn't a factor for me, but I'm averaging 21-22 mpg when I have fun. When I don't, 25-26 mpg because 90% of my driving is highway. We had a V6 300C and the worse it got was 25 mpg when I daily drove it, and 32 mpg on long distance highway trips.
Oh wow!! I never realized the scat could break traction so easily! Yeah I would say the R/T serves individuals like you and I well simply because of what were looking for in a V8. Simply put "We want a V8 we can daily drive comfortably". Also! Ive been meaning to ask you do you put mid grade or regular fuel in your RT? Ive been putting low grade (87) because of what the dealer said.
@@roxymopar put 89 when you out 87 you get the least performance from the car you don’t need to put 91 either it’s a waste if you do
@@roxymopar Sorry for the delay. I'm on a road trip. I use mid-grade gas, and that's because it's in the owner's manual. I know it'll run fine on 87 octane, but tests and Dyno pulls confirmed there's a slight loss of power on the lower octane. Honestly the loss isn't much (I recall less than 10 HP and torque), but there isn't a lot of info for long-term tests for either octane on these engines.
@@cart-wheels Thanks man!!

What wheels are these and what are the size? 20x8?
Say I found a used 2019 scat pack well taken care of with 47k odo for $33,800, and a 2022 charger rt with 9k odo for $34,000 . Which would you suggest I get ?
In the same predicament just 36 for the scat and 27-30 RT

@@Kendog that would be awesome bro! check out my video on the Top 5 mods!! so you can start saving for some cool parts for your build! :)
@@roxymopar yeah I will man
6.2l are older scat the newer ones are 6.4l
Oh dang bro I totally forgot that man. Thankyou!
6.1 is the srt8 & the 11-14s are 6.4
No, 6.2l are hellcats
Putting all the mods in you void your warranty that’s what I’m scared about?
yeah it can, really depends on the dealer you go to though. some dealerships are still willing to work on your vehicle and honor the warranty. basic mods like “exhaust work, intake, etc” shouldn’t void the warranty though
@@roxymopar thank you I’m just gonna do the oil catch can and the cold air intake
@@roxymopar the price that I paid for my RT if I would’ve did it four years ago, I could’ve paid the same price the scat
@@roxymopar I meant 2 years ago not 4 I could’ve brought a Scat the same price that I paid two weeks ago for my RT
Man I shouldn’t have gotten a scat pack :(
no that’s no what this video was meant to do! everyone has the specific reasons for going with their model of choice. the rt just fit my lifestyle better rn
theyre awesome cars, no doubt and if you care about racing hanging with the big boys get the scat, but just know theyre gona be a lot more to maintain, to get tires and brakes and gas, etc.
@@Sublight77 tell me about it :( I don’t race I js like sports cars
Hey man I got a question
