I hope Logitech can make an E-brake lever controller that is compatible to all existing Logitech wheels. At the moment many sim racers will DIY an E-brake to the Logitech wheels.

Heyyyyy! Thanks Manuel. I was really focused on work and trying to move up a position to mid-level software engineer at the company I work for. I've found more of a flow now and I think I can make more videos without work suffering.
@@BallisticTech Nice. I always appreciate the high production value of your videos and amount of information you share so looking forward to further videos and reviews. Good luck with the promotion at work too. :)
Logitech have a long history of gradual evolution. The wheels get better with each new version but if you own the previous version you don't feel like its obsolete. That's not very exciting perhaps but I quite like that they've avoided the planned obsolescence we see so often these days. It would be nice to see Logitech do an upmarket wheel in addition to this entry level wheel but it looks like its not going to happen.
looks like more of the same from logitech. from the driving force -g27-g29-g923 they all have the same basic features. i wish logitech would make something in the mid grade area to compete with fanatec
It would be risky for Logitech to do that because they make a lot of different PC accessories. They need a large profit margin on each racing wheel sale. That's why the G923 and it predecessors have been costly for what you get.
PC or console? Will you likely want to upgrade down the road? Most appealing thing about the CSL Elite to me is the upgrade path. Multiple wheel rims, can upgrade to the LC kit and even clubsport pedals later. And DD if you win the lottery. You can always jump to Fanatec later if you start out with Logitech. And if your on PC you can mix and match. Right now I'm having a hard time recommending this without trying it hands on. I should be able to try it soon tho
@@etamm1343 CSL Elite is great but is like $170 - $300 more, they keep going in and out of stock and when you can order them it's taking up to a month to receive them because of covid. I don't think there's any doubt that they're considered better than the Logitech. They're often the next upgrade from Logitech. The fact that he's even considering them vs the Logitech tells me price is a major consideration.$170 - $300 is a lot.
@@BallisticTech Probably, but even in that case I would go with Thrustmaster T300RS GT with that $400 price, but if he wants G923 then I would rather go with G29/G920 because it's basically the same wheel as G923, but cheaper.
Looks interesting but I think I’d rather pick up a Logitech G29 if the price ever goes down or just save up for a Fanatec wheel. Was hoping for more of and update and also a option for an e brake.
@@huawafabe im telling yah man put some short screws (about 1/4 of the way in) in that thing so they line up horizontally with the middle of the shifter then wrap some elastic bands around the heads of both screws and around the shifter. then assign shift up and down to 3rd and 4th. the elastic will put you back to neutral neutral every time acting like a sequential. then when you want to go back to H pastern just take the bands off and change 3rd and 4th back
Pretty much everything about the wheel here. Long video but hopefully provides you with the info you need to decide. ruclips.net/video/_dXfYnR-Y7E/видео.html I think it's better than the G29. But whether or not the improvements are worth the $ for you or anyone else is up for debate. G29's are going back down in price after the COVID scalping. So it's looking reasonable to find one for $200-250 USD. The G923 will likely stay up around $400. Some sites in Europe seem to be offering it at slight discounts but I haven't seen any US retailers doing so. Trueforce definitely an improvement. When using the wheel in a supported game the immersion level is increased a lot. If you don't play any of the supported titles it might lean you towards the G29 Even without Trueforce support the improved electronics mean the FFB is delivered in a better manner and it feels a bit punchier. FFB is so subjective 2 ppl with otherwise similar tastes can try the wheel and have completely different opinions. That's why people's FFB settings seem to differ so drastically for the same wheel in the same title The launch control works well in titles like iRacing. I didn't like the new progressive spring as much as the G29 with the rubber stopper. But that's again pretty subjective. So it comes down to whether the Trueforce, Progressive Brake, and Launch Control are enough to justify $100-200 price difference depending on if sales are going on.
If you already have the G29, it would be a waste to upgrade.. Only difference I could feel is the FFB with the TrueForce is a little bit stronger than the G29.and THAT'S IT.. Not worth it at all tbh.. I returned mine 3 days after I got it
The least Logitech can do is make an extra SKU that includes the pedal shifter for slightly more. I can't believe they're normalizing a non shifter setup
again PROPRIETY tech will die soon after launch because NOT ENOUGH support from developers and other makers, ie, the Direct Drive makers. we never learn.

Going to be a hard sale for any current gen wheel owners. Especially without getting to actually try the major differentiating feature before buying.

Yes! And also look into improving their pedals since that is way more important and is often over looked.

Anyone who knows about pedal resolution for the new wheel? The g920/g29 was only 8 bit, and would be really nice with an upgrade on that front
My understanding is that this uses the same 10k 8-bit resolution potentiometers. So that would be 256-step resolution per pedal.
