What about the brake firmware, can you make it fully linear? How it normally works is until you get to the rubber it's like 50% brake or something, but when you press through the bumper you get 100% brake, which is not great to control the car.
Re The brake pedal. On PC i calibrated the brake pedal using the Windows Game controller applet and set the pedal with approx 40% depression. Meaning 40% of pedal movement = 100% of pressure. For me in Assetto Corsa this pretty much makes the brake pedal accurate to a real car.
All the things he mentioned are absolutely spot on. I've used G29 which is also one of the reasons I do not suggest people buying it and I sold mine in 1.5 years almost. If you want the best simulation experience logitech g29 is not it, stock steering wheel is pretty small, hate the sound it makes thats not how belt based wheels do which is similar to real life cars, breaks suck, logitech app does not work all the times or when it does the app settings do not align with in-game deadzone/sensitivity, pedal pressures, clutch absolutely sucks lol theres no pressure that shite is flat., takes 15-20 mins to set up and if im installing a new sim game, will take another 30mins to search right settings, aligning in app and in-game, the force feedback is servicable it is not at all close to what real cars feel, What are pros? Its the best wheel with the most compatibility out there I've seen for budge entry that works out of the box in 90% games, even in PS2 emulators with GT4 through plugins steering is very premium felt with nice leather stitching, quite comfortable to feel the games when racing however once you go off road it goes, ratatatatatata lmao what wheel does that, this is all due to motorized functionality. I'm saving money now to either go for fanatec sim set up or thrustmaster, would be expensive but is defo worth it much more than this. If you're on budget, go for it but do not expect realistic real car like behavior, its a stepping stone at best. Plug it into a laptop as i did to acces G Hub. Not that big of a deal! I grabbed the g29 because Logitrch is al they sell where i live. Next step up from this wil cost a heap more. Noting wrong with this setup as your 1st
Save a little more and go for something nice. You wont learn driving from this budget wheel. The ffb is not at all close to real life cars. Its an advice, though if you're on budge you can go for G29 but it wont feel the exact same as real life cars. Hope you get new one soon. :)
Watch this vid and still buy blind. Very superficial and inaccurate. Great entry wheels, very reliable with fantastic compatibility. If buying second hand be aware how to clean the potentiometers in the pedals. The elastic band is a mod to use the shifter sequentially and not to ‘stop it ratting’. One thing I would agree on is don’t spend over 150 on one.
I'd like to get a Thrustmaster T300 (for example) instead of a G29 because the T300 has a belt driven FFB (wich is way better than a gear driven one). However, in my country, these are the prices (brand new btw): Logitech: G29: ~363USD G29 H shifter: ~93USD G923: ~500USD Thrustmaster: T300: ~827USD TH8A: ~400USD So we don't really have an option outside the G29/G920.

i got a g920 and it keeps blue screening my pc. and puts it in to a boot loop if left plugged in. going to get a refund
Are the g29 and the g920 the same exact wheel? or do they have some differences?
G29 is for playstation and g920 is for xbox. Only different platforms, no other difference
@@flaviosaliaj389 There are other differences too. G920 lacks some buttons and that rpm led indicator.
yooo I saw one at 260$ new with no discount imagine on black friday
Guys I don't have a high budget... But i wanted to buy a Thrustmaster wheel and shifter those are very costly compared my budget... Should i buy a g920 or a g29?
G920 and g29 are the same just the 29 works only on PlayStation and pc and the 920 works only on Xbox and Pc
I bought a g29 with pedal and shifter for $80 ..it’s my first wheel
Plug it into a laptop as i did to acces G Hub. Not that big of a deal!
I grabbed the g29 because Logitrch is al they sell where i live.
Next step up from this wil cost a heap more. Noting wrong with this setup as your 1st
i got used g920 with shifter 100e
Thanks for the vid, im saving up for it to practice driving, im almost 14+
Save a little more and go for something nice. You wont learn driving from this budget wheel. The ffb is not at all close to real life cars. Its an advice, though if you're on budge you can go for G29 but it wont feel the exact same as real life cars. Hope you get new one soon. :)
I just bought one of these for an insanely low price at $140 AUD. It is arriving tomorrow, hopefully it wasn’t that cheap for a reason
Hey mate, I’m an Aussie too. Where did you find that deal? I’m hoping to buy one of these as well
@@lachlanf4842 admittingly i bought it from a really sketchy druggie in Whyalla while i was passing through
Got this exact wheel excellent condition for 85 lmao. with the shifter aswell.
probably gonna go with thrustmaster t300 since im a casual gamer and i want to get into sim racing might become intermidiate but yeah i
is the brake fixable?
Yes
Is the g920 compatible with pc
yip, get the xbox one/pc compatible version not the ps4/pc version though.
It’s better then the way your saying it is
I'd like to get a Thrustmaster T300 (for example) instead of a G29 because the T300 has a belt driven FFB (wich is way better than a gear driven one). However, in my country, these are the prices (brand new btw):
Logitech:
G29: ~363USD
G29 H shifter: ~93USD
G923: ~500USD
Thrustmaster:
T300: ~827USD
TH8A: ~400USD
So we don't really have an option outside the G29/G920.
I’m hearing everything you got to say but when it comes to the shifter ya lost me it’s called get better at banging gears man
my G29 keeps disconecting if someone can help i will be greatful
@Akuma.69 i fixed it thx tho
Buy the g25 or g27, they LITERALLY aren't different from the newer wheels
i havent watched the vid yet but i rlly like it i had it for xmas but thanks for any info
it cost 10$ to upgrade the break pedal lol
