- It's Alive with Brad Leone is back for episode 85 and part two of our special miniseries featuring Brad grilling in his backyard. This week Brad is breaking out the bait and tackle for an inky all-nighter, learning how to catch squid in the Atlantic Ocean with Captain Dan and Fisherman Vinny. With their precious cephalopods back home and ready to go, Brad and Dan whip up a few bowls of fresh smoked squid and tomato pasta to bond over. It’s a beautiful thing.

I do not understand why Brad doesn’t make his own channel. Brad IS Bon Appetite. Before & after Covid. Excellent as usual.
I wonder how much he gets paid
I think it's a new concept called a 'contract'
He has young children he might not want to devote the massive amount of time and energy needed to run his own thing when he can just get paid to show up and have everything set up for him.
He appears to be double dipping and making collabs w a lot of companies

I love how every boat captain I've ever met says that bananas are bad luck, but not one of them knows why that's a thing. The reasons are varied, but none of them are valid. Unless of course this is 200 years ago and you're on a ship carrying various kinds of fruits.
And it seems to be quite universal. I've heard it in Australia too.

Squid Jigging is a lot of fun, My father and I used to catch them off the Pier by dangling a bbq gas bottle and gas lamp just above the water surface at high tide. So much easier catching them off the surface at the edge of the light with glowing jigs than in a boat.
