- "This is where I'd be if I was a little squirrelly river otter"... I'd be with the legendary Geoff Klane down on Cape Cod fishing for Sea Run Brook Trout on some small steams I never knew existed! Wouldn't you??
Come to the Cape with us for Episode 3 of Local Legends. We'll TRY to catch some fish on the custom 2 weight fly rod that Geoff built for me. We'll learn about the native fishery, its history, and the impressive conservation efforts helping to bring these fish back to area. AND we'll bask in the mystic powers of the "Fish Whistle"...

A NOTE TO OUR FELLOW FLY FISHERS:
On this trip we are strictly catch-and-release anglers: fishing with barbless hooks, playing fish as quickly and effectively as possible, and sure to keep the fish (and hands) wet - being in these beautiful places, we endeavor to experience and learn more about our precious sea run brook trout, do some science, and have a little fun.
While Geoff does professionally guided fishing tours, he does not do them for sea run brook trout because of their fragile ecosystem and the reserve's protected status.
When you visit these places, or places like them, please treat the land and fish with respect, practice good catch-and-release methods, pack out what you pack in, and above all, have fun!

There's nothing like fishing in the woods and smoking some weeds while you're doing it. Something peaceful aboot it. I like smoking bowls in my Kayak while bass fishing or jigging for crappie/walleye

I'm from The Cape and I mainly fish the Lower Cape so it was cool to see this because, I've never even heard about any of this. Side Note, we get freshwater otters on the Lower Cape in some areas idk much about the Upper Cape though. I was pretty surprised when I saw them myself.
