@@twelvecatsinatrenchcoat yeah the whole video is about how they connect us with our past and help preserve what came before us and what will be here after us if we choose to care for it. for some (perhaps for many based on the interaction with this video) that is an emotional and sentimental thought to sit with. all respect intended.

I've fallen in love with vintage iron since I got my grandma's rusted pan that she used daily... my mom failed to care for it and I brought it back to life and have been obsessed ever since. Just recieved my grandpa's iron last week from the other side of the family. He used a No. 5 Griswold every single morning for his eggs.

I've had the same cast iron skillet for over 10 days. My last one lasted approximately six months. The secret to a long lasting skillet like my own is long, overnight soaking, followed by heavy scrubbing with a stainless steel sponge.
