  • So it's close enough to Halloween for me to start working on the props.
I wanted to get this one up first since it's new this year and I wanted to see what it looked like up so high off the peak of the roof. I think the size is perfect for the house. Again it came out right around 15 feet across.
As I say in the video - I found multiple "banshee" sounds - off RUclips - used Audacity to chain them together. I ended up lengthening the sound files quite a bit to get them long enough. Just used a pair of powered computer speakers inside the prop facing down. Sounds like it will be loud enough.
I'll end up posting one last video at Halloween to show the lighting.
    Happy Halloween!!!!!

I had to make a comment as I was your 666th view. I like the supersized leer. I'm a fan of Johnny's ghosts. One of these days I'll get around to making one. Cheers.

there isn't lines on the arms. This isn't a crank ghost. If you look at the previous videos you will see that the mechanism is all inside

so I was asked about how much the prop costed to build and here's my reply - - 1. wiper motor - $25 - frightprops 2. LED strobe ( inside head) - $10 - amazon 3. PVC pipe - $12 - big box store 4. fabric - $10 - all from thrift centers 5. skeleton face - $10 - ( got on sale day after Halloween) 6. hands - $20 -( I think I got them on Amazon they cum with stakes to place on ground and they are straight - I use a heat gun to bend and reshape the fingers) 7. wood, plywood, misc. nuts and bolts - $10 8. speaker for sound $3 - ( took out of old speaker from thrift center) 9. sound - $0 -(I make my own sounds using Audacity and I use old cellphones for my MP3 sounds played through old boom boxes or stereos) 10. Probably a few other miscellaneous things I'm forgetting - $10 TOTAL - $110 Not bad for a 16' prop with lights and sounds Depending on how and where you plan on hanging it - I ended up purchasing a lifting system with pulleys and a rope brake from Amazon since mine is 35' in the air.
