  • Shows the next work on the animation of the prop. It has 3 movements - leaning forward, arms moving out and back, and head opening and closing. All off 1 single motor.
Also shows how I'm going to control the sound FX - having it go one when the head opens and then shutting off when the head closes - very simple design using a rocker switch - with one speaker wire running through the switch.

The light switch was genius. If you don't want to get involved in prop controllers, then this is how you do it. Consider wiring the power to the speakers instead through the switch. You can then tap off that for the led strip that will light up the mask. Screaming and lighting synced that way. Regardless, very cool and inventive!

FANTASTIC IDEA! That's what I like so all this - having the ability to get information from everyone. I hadn't thought yet about how to set up the lights. I'll do it just like you say and have both the lights and music come on at the same time.

Well done Mr Verlinda, good use of forward motion propagating rear arm motion to open the pumpkin, thanks for posting!

thanks - I'm always trying for multiple movements off 1 motor and this worked out well.

Nice motion on the arms and a beautiful creation but as Montclair's Lair points out, the "men from boys" move is that light switch, which is such a a great low tech way to sync things up!

in the video you can see the pvc pipe runs off the motor and is attached to the upper half of the body. The upper half is run through "T"s and with 90s PVC at the "waist". that allows it to pivot forward

Just came across your video, I really like the motion and build. I have to find the previous videos and watch them. If you find the link to the speed controller, please post it.

I looked up the Ebay purchase I did. Here's the link to the one I bought - www.ebay.com/itm/New-30A-PWM-DC-Motor-Speed-Control-12-50V-Volt-HHO-RC-Controller-AMP-12V-24V/221464799134?epid=1931467153&hash=item339054a79e:g:mN0AAOSw2xRYdzho
But if you search you will see there are others that you can look at. The main thing for me is to have the circuit board enclosed and the on/off - speed knob enclosed vs. just open which can easily be broken off. Good luck
