- second video in the design phase of the prop. I've tried again to design multiple movements using just 1 motor. It would have very easy just having the head open and close and nothing else but I wanted more movements. So I've got the head opening and closing plus a leaning-in movement. And I'll be adding arms that will pivot with the head movement.
Based on a hangman's prop set-up. I used 1" PVC and 3/4" PVC running through the couplings.
One thing forgot to mention - you will see the center vertical is bent. I heated it and bent it out in the two places it hits the back 1"' horizontal frame. That allows the prop to stand straight up versus leaning forward a bit. Easy fix. Next video will have the motor and arms attached so I will be able to show the 3 different movements - all off the one motor.

Another great prop idea... will be curious to see how you suspend the skull inside the Jack O'Lantern...I'm guessing some screws into the PVC piping holding up the halves... but the devil's in the details! Really like the way your added little brackets enabled the right motion to facilitate the smooth opening / closing of the semi-pumpkins. Very slick and efficient motion!
Thanks for the reply. Hopefully you can now see that the skull attached to a PVC "T" connector coming off the shoulder PVC. The pumpkin shell actually sits back so that it is center over the shoulders when it closes. So I just attached a piece of PVC to the back of the skull and it just sits into the connector.
