    It’s been a while since I’ve given a tour of my retro gaming room - approximately three years when I first moved in. The lease has been renewed and I’ve purchased a new cabinet, so I feel now is a great opportunity to show all that’s changed. Additionally, I give a brief tour of my home office too since it’s so integral to the production of these videos. That houses my computer setup, a 3D printer and my work bench.

    Really liked the vibe of the video. Nice set up! Ive got most of my stuff in storage as I cant have a lot of clutter in the house. With aussie house prices I dont think I will get a place with a dedicated room any time soon :D

    You're winning at life mate. Well done. I just finished my Saturn settup. Next project I want to do is my Famicom. I like the idea of rgb but it requires cutting up the case. Mine is really nice so I think I'm going to do it to my NTSC nes.

    Banging collection dude!! You really do seem to prefer the retro stuff. I’d agree with trying to get away from composite as much as you can! There’s too many readily available scaling solutions these days. Your handheld collection is staggering haha so many to choose from! Great stuff can’t wait to see breakdowns of the game collections

    Great tour mate. Love your collection. All the best for 2024. Let's do coffee at the Robot Fun Factory cafe if you're keen.

    I watched your video.
    As an Aussie I want to ask you a question.
    Do you enjoy playing pal or have you upgraded your consoles to ntsc?
    After playing emulators I just cant go back to pal 50hz and have slowly bought all the ntsc versions of my consoles

      @retrogameon  8 месяцев назад +1

      I don't mind PAL, but if I'm emulating or using a flash cart (or other means on disk based consoles) I will always choose NTSC.

    Nice tour, thanks! :)
    One question: How do you go about keeping the shelves clean, where all the games/CDs/cartridges are? How often do you dust this area?

    • @retrogameon
      @retrogameon  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hardley ever. I couldn't even tell you the last time I dusted in there. It doesn't get too dusty in there, possibly because the door is closed when not in use. Otherwise, the cat goes in there and scratches up the armchair.

    Honestly I would just keep the CRT. Sure we have things like retro tink 4k, great and all. However nothing beats a electron gun shooting straight into your soul.

      @retrogameon  8 месяцев назад +1

      I dunno, I'm pretty keen to get rid of this dying unit and give the CRT-less life a go. If it doesn't work out, nothing is stopping me from obtaining another.

      @@retrogameon I was pretty thankful to get rid of all my CRT monitors. The squeel was what bugged me, along with the size.
