45 Minute Upper Body Push Challenge Workout | PUMP - Day 2

  • Today is an upper body challenge workout so be ready to turn up the intensity! We will work for 40 seconds at a time with 20 seconds rest and complete each exercise 3 times each. I am showing you modifications this month with resistance bands so make sure to grab your bands if you will be out of town because you will be able to keep rocking with me too! I used anywhere from my 5 pound dumbbells up to my 35 pound dumbbells so grab yours if you're ready!
    The exercises:
    1. Inchworm Shoulder taps
    2. Shoulder Press and Overhead Extension
    3. Chest press
    4. Close to wide tricep kickbacks
    5. Arnold Press
    6. Chest Fly
    7. Skull Crusher
    8. Single Side Incline Press from floor
    9. Chest Press and 3 pulses
    10. 3 straight arm pulses and one tricep extension
    11. 2 Pike Push Ups and 6 Mountain Climbers

    Sydney's Daily Wisdom (47:09): "Never think that because things are hard you are weak. You know because things are hard, they've come into your path, because you either are strong enough to take them on, and you believe that, or you need to be reminded of your strength, and you show yourself by taking those things on." (48:36): "Failure, perfection - none of it matters. Perseverance matters. It doesn't have to be perfect to be progress, and failure is not permanent. Just keep moving. Keep going, because you, and the next best version of you, is ready." I have struggled with perfectionism for so long, but Sydney and her workouts have shown me that I have the ability to just keep going without fear of failure or things not being perfect. "Just keep going" has become my mantra in these workouts and in every area of my life!

    Sydney’s polite persuasion to increase weight or intensity each round really inspired me to use heavier weights. Her coaching really pushed me to go hard each and every round. That was a really great arm workout. Now let’s make today a great one!

    The diversity within the sets was a nice change of pace (Arnold press is a prime example). It definitely helped to keep me pushing myself!

    My arms almost gave out during that last bodyweight set, wow my body was wobbling away wondering WHAT I was doing to it, but I LOVED IT! This was a KILLER upper body workout, so so good and such an awesome switch-up from last month. I am loving the pump already!

      Same! I kept saying I can't do any push ups but every round I'd squeeze out atleast 3. A tough one for sure!

    I've been working out with you for almost 3 years, and I believe that was one of the hardest upper body workouts to date. Holy cow I can't believe how difficult it was to push through that! Insane breakdown and my upper body is feeling it! Thank you 💦💪

    Phew! This 69 year old will rethink doing my usual 3 k swim today after this ! great work out quite the challenge but hung in there! Thanks Sydney .. drills for me today in my swim.Have a good day everyone

    YOWWW this workout got me feeling like a BEAST!! When I first started Sydney's workouts about a year and a half ago I couldn't do an inchworm to save my life - and I did today's WITH the pushups and the taps! Amazing to see such progress in myself. Consistency over intensity all day! Thank you Sydney :)

    What a work out - our arms are certainly PUMPED up. I needed you all the way Sydney - thanks for cheering me on. I was breathing at the end like I was running a marathon - who said strength isn't as good as a cardio workout.

    Loved this upper body pump push workout! I am so excited for this month's challenge! 💪🤸‍I pushed myself today, especially on the 2nd and 3rd rounds of each exercise. I liked how Sydney slightly varied the exercise on some of the rounds, that allowed me to feel the muscles in a different way. Yes, just because something is hard doesn't mean I'm weak. It means I have an opportunity to grow and change, and I can embrace the challenge to "step up to the plate"! Thank you Sydney for all you do for us, and always being so encouraging and loving!

    Day ✌ Upper Body Push Challenge was just that! A challenge! But I persevered and dug deep to push thru the burn 🔥 Arms are on fire. Loved the new challenges today like the straight arm tricep kickback to regular kickback, the regular to wide tricep kickbacks, and the leaned back seated shoulder press. Burned so good. Push thru the challenging moves and just keep going and you will come out feeling strong AF in the end. Let perservance be your goal because we can do hard things. Make it a great day 😄

    I am just back from a short holiday...I did not use the gym due to Covid..however i did do body weight workouts throughout my holiday. I missed using dumbells so I did both Pump 1 and 2 today to catch up...feeling amazing! Have a great day all! Thank you Sydney and Dustin for all you do for us!

    Wow. Definitely felt the burn on this. Upper Body workouts can be tough but i worked and pushed myself. Enjoyed the mountain climber pike pushups finisher. Really motivated to finish this year off stronger than when I started.

    This was one of the toughest push workouts I've done in a while. But it was also a favorite. I felt so strong and yet so fatigued by the end of this workout. 💪

    THIS WAS MY FAVORITE UPPER BODY WORKOUT YET! Sydney really crushed it with this one. I love upper body so I prefer these style of workouts to the arms, abs, and cardio (even though those are incredible too!) Can't wait to see where we'll go if this is week one!!

    Woah!!! My arms were shaking in the end but as usual Sydney pushed me so hard! 💪 “You’re either already strong enough. You just have to be reminded of that” I am a cardio, HIIT kinda girl but after I started STRONG program with her, I started to believe in myself that I can do more! 😊

    I've been following Sydney's videos for a while, and I should write to thank her. I'm 69 years old, and hope to keep doing them through my 70's! I use lighter weights than Sydney does, and I am always conscious of my back. When we do core exercises, I remind myself I'm keeping my back and center strong, to protect that spine. Thank you Sydney, and thank you ME, for keeping up!

    I know not every day will be like this, but I had SO much energy this morning! Sydney pushing me to challenge myself motivated me to put that energy to good use and get a killer workout in to kick off my day! Now I can barely type this comment because my arms are shaking so much, but I feel amazing because I DID IT!!

    I crushed it! Boy OH BOY,,,,,Do i feel weak. That closer was a tough one. My arms are swollen and feel heavy. My weight has been stuck and I need to work on that and my food intake. This is a new month and I am ready to crush it! Thankful for Sydney and Dustin.

    Lol!! I almost collapsed in that first pike push-up! I was laughing because my triceps were shaking so much. I’ve done pike push ups before but not after a killer tricep workout like this one. I powered through though and was able to do rounds 2 and 3. Thank you Sydney! I know that I WAS strong enough to take it on- not that I was weak!

    My arms were trembling so bad during the pike push ups I wasn't sure if I was actually going down sometimes or not. What an arm workout! I definitely felt the pump. I'm going to come back later and do a stretching video just to make sure my arms are ready for tomorrow. Whew!
