Well, technically, the events of Better Call Saul (his dad gets killed; he suffers a head injury) can drive Nacho nuts and send him to the asylum. That'll explain why he isn't in Breaking Bad.
For anyone who doesn't know, Michael auditioned for Far Cry 3 but Ubisoft rejected him as it wasn't what they were looking for. But later on were so impressed by his audition that they created the character of Vaas specifically for him to play. Hence why he's in the game for a total of about 20 minutes
Not only that, but when he did the audition, he did it with the accent, and then they said "No, don't do the accent, let's try it without it." and so he did another version of the script without the accent, and then he left. Come time for E3 2011, and Ubisoft announced Far Cry 3, and they showed a preview, they used the version with the accent.

When I was little I thought vaas was the main villain because he was not only on the cover but I barely saw the actual main antagonist. Plus vaas looked way more fit to be the main antagonist then the other guy
Uhm before Vaas went mad he was most likely a part of the Rakyat along with his sister, Citra. I don't think back then when he was sane, that he would sell people into slavery. Maybe some back story about him fighting Hoyt, but being captured, tortured and brainwashed etc fits in bit better. Then he recruits some former Rakyat, still loyal to him, to be his commanders, while the rest are off island mercenaries there to make a buck. It would explain the such love/hate relation he has to his sister, for "inking that little white boy", referring to the antagonist(Jason Brody), in the scene where he goes to free his girlfriend, Liza, and friend Oliver. A lot of people would like to know more about Vaas Montenegro, though now we can only speculate. Would be quite awesome to play him as in a prequel leading to the events of Far Cry 3. Though I do not know how Ubisoft would pull that off story-wise.
madman2u Or they could always make it like Bethesda did with Dishonored. They made a DLC where you can see the story in the antagonist's point of view, up to point where he meets with the protagonist the last time. That would really work with Vaas and Jason too. It would be amazing to play as Vaas.
Or what if they show additional islands other than the two main ones where you begin as Vaas, fighting against Hoyt Volker and ridding his influence on those islands. Then at one point you get to confront Hoyt and get two choices: Join Hoyt, or kill him. If you choose to join Hoyt, then the story continues in the same way as we know it, with Vaas controlling the pirates and all. BUT if you choose to kill him, you get an alternate storyline where you get an hour or two of additional gameplay and how you (Vaas) rids the islands of Hoyt's evil shadow. There's another hypothesis of mine that Vaas and Citra aren't blood related. Its possible Vaas came to the Island just like Jason; an innocent mind. The island corrupts him, and he gets accepted as a Rakyat. He gets the attention of the leader of the tribe (Some other hot chick, maybe Citra's big sister or something) and works his way up. In the end, Vaas gets to F her, but unlike Jason who manages to get killed shortly after, Vaas instead kills the bitch and runs away from the Rakyat, and ends up in Hoyt's care. The theory makes sense, when you analyze Vaas's dialogues in the game. Even his first decision to let Jason run into the forest can be justified that way. Vaas saw into Jason's eyes and saw his past self, and wanted to see what Jason was capable of. He knew how things would play out, and knew that if Jason manages to survive all of that, he could do what Vaas could never do: Kill off all of the evil in the island. That includes Citra, and then Hoyt.
They made the right choice making a new character specifically for Michael Mando. I don't think they could've made the story as good as it was with just Hoyt.
omfg this dude is amazing. he like a different version of the joker XD if you understand what i mean. some people might disagree if they think about it in the wrong way

*He* actually is Vaas? I thought this was a meme because they were so similar looking and sounding. Played Far Cry years ago, watched BCS (almost done) and now see that not only is he older than me while looking younger, I realise there is so much talent and especially potential still left untapped. I whish he could get more roles where he has such a spotlight. Nacho was great, as was Vaas. An anti-hero or simply a "realistic" hero (Punisher style) could fit him well to draw out his great range. I don't want to spoil BCS for anyone but I was really drawn by his character and rooted so so much for him. With the modern technology being capable of capturing him better, video games might be the best fit, if it is not done by a meddling company/publisher. How about a prequel where you control Vaas? :D WOuld be epic. You take innocent villages, sell the survivor into slavery to make money etc.
It would be amaizing.I need it
Or what if they show additional islands other than the two main ones where you begin as Vaas, fighting against Hoyt Volker and ridding his influence on those islands.
Thanos Ik this a year old but it sounds pretty amazing. I never Understood why citra killed Jason at the end
damn, how did ubisoft go from here,to whatever the it is now.
Back when the Ubisoft jingle made you happy
They made the right choice making a new character specifically for Michael Mando. I don't think they could've made the story as good as it was with just Hoyt.
After the DLC, Vaas is one of those complex characters that you gotta figure out if he’s good or bad as a pirate.
DLC?
@@WhyS0seriousSon farcry 6 DLC I heard about it recently , ubisoft's marketing is just amazing right?
omfg this dude is amazing. he like a different version of the joker XD if you understand what i mean. some people might disagree if they think about it in the wrong way
There is no wrong way to think.
At least Vaas gets his shit done haha. Well just untill he tries to kill Jason
That is what I like. He is another version of the Joker, but definitely NOT the Joker. He is not a Joker copycat.
_Exactly_ what I thought! He plays this manic psychopath in such a convincing and charismatic way... Just a few hours ago I was like "I wish there was like a cross-over where he meets Heath Ledger's Joker" to a friend. Imagine how much fun these two actors would've had together. Imagine how much fun these two _characters_ would've had together.
Vass would kick jokers ass so fucking quick
1:51 - thats how Nacho Varga was appeared
Love when his voice starts getting serious, "You think you have a chance... but down here... down here... you hit the ground. " Perfect tone and vibe switch.
Nacho varga survived that headshot, he’s a bit locco now though
Took me this long to realize that Nacho from Better Call Saul is Vaas from Far Cry lmao
This is the best villain. I still remember him from time to time, and some of his quotes often come to mind lol
Michael Mando you betta be in Far Cry 4!
so do i, buuut those ubisoft guys wont let me FUCKING IN ANYMORE, and i dont know why.
Adrian Petrov What... WHAT SAY IT AGAIN! im not dead MAN IM NOT DEAM, Everyone Think i am and that o Mighty Jason killed me but, wrong hermano, VAAS NEVER DIES, HE WAS SO HIGH AND I SLASHED HIS BODY UP TOOK HIS HEAD AND PUT IT ON THE POL, I AM NOT DEAD AND ITS NOT THAT I AM FUCKING CRAZY, DO YOU UNDERSTAND? Vaas Montenegro Did i ever tell you, the definition of Insanity?
Vaas Montenegro uhh Herman o what's going on here
yes
Oh my god I completely forgot he played Vaas, I’ve been watching Better Call Saul for ages now and completely overlooked that!
Yk ur a good actor when you could make people terrified of you in one project and sympathize with him in another show
Idk why this was recommended to me again years later after I've already seen it, but I'm just now realizing that hes the dude that plays Nacho on better call saul, hell yeah!
Haven't even watched the video yet I already hit Like and I know it's gonna be amazing. Best video game villain ever.
i played the game only for Vaas
Vaas auditioning to play himself, pure gold
Just watched better call Saul , and vaas strikes in head .
He's totally different as nacho
Somehow I could see Vaas actually being able to overpower that guard while in a straight jacket.
Far Cry 3 was my first "shooter" game. Vaas kept my insanity in check, being human is wonderous
Nachos been doing great after the Salamancas
Happy to have this in my feed, remembering back to when Ubisoft stood for something
The way he says "hey look me in the eye" in the start of the game was perfect
get to see him again on far cry 5 season pass for.far cry 3 on the ps4...cant wait to play
Michael Mando needs his own Vaas Tv series
The battle of the century:
Trevor Philips vs. Vaas Montenegro
Seeing this 9 years late. WTF. Well, it sure was good. Loved the performance.
I have to come back to these old videos to remind me what a good game with good characters is like
I love him as vaas he’s my favourite villain in the whole series of Farcry
Just killed Vaas again, what a great antagonist. I was still getting pissed when he would show up randomly and haul me off. Wish Ubisoft would do a better job with their games nowadays.
I fucking knew it! This guy is in Better Call Saul. I swear I had heard his voice somewhere before
Yeah, it's nacho
BROOOO WHERE HAS THIS GUY BEEN?? HE NEED TO BE IN MOTE GAMES. BEST GAME VOICE ACTOR OF ALL TIMES
He was great as Vaas Montenegro and Nacho. How tf is he not super famous?
Far cry 3 and 4 had some of the best villains in all of entertainment
Oh, so THAT's why Vaas has so few voicelines.
He just got the hell out of a recording studio
I would love a film with vaas man just image the comedy and the action :)
It's been a long time since Ubisoft released Far Cry 3 and dared to let a Vaas being created under their umbrella.
Amazing.
HOLY SHIT IM SEEING THIS NOW. Dude... SO great. I would pay GOOD money to see this as a movie or hell, even a TV show.
