- ER Doctor Jordan Wagner is back with ER doctor reacts to Far Cry healing animations in The Far Cry Series by Ubisoft. Doctor Wagner, a real life emergency physician from Experts React Gamology ER Doctor All Healing Animations Far Cry reaction / real doctor reacts to video games Far Cry 6, Far Cry 2, Far Cry 3, Far Cry Primal (Far Cry 4), and Far Cry New Dawn (Far Cry 5) injuries gameplay. Real doctor watches and reacts to FAR CRY games and tells us what is accurate and what is not in this funny video game reaction.
Far Cry is a franchise of first-person shooter games, all of which have been published by Ubisoft. The first game, Far Cry, was developed by Crytek for Microsoft Windows. The following games in the series have used a Ubisoft-modified version of the CryEngine, the Dunia Engine, allowing for open world gameplay. The Far Cry games, due to the history of their development, do not have any significant shared narrative elements but instead share a theme of placing the player in a wilderness environment where they must help fight against one or more despots that control the region as well as surviving against wild animals that roam the open spaces. Today Doctor Wagner, from Experts React on Gamology will be watching and reacting to Far Cry healing animations in games and the best healing mechanics in video games. Do you play Far Cry? What about the new Far Cry 6? If you want Dr. Jordan Wagner to continue making this doctor reaction series and reacting to gameplay and creating video game reaction series on Gamology please give this video a like and leave a comment on which TV show or medical memes or just funny memes you'd like for him to review next.

Would really like to see you react to the resident evil games. For example, resident evil 2 remake there is really good looking body dismemberment when shooting zombies. It would cool to see how realistic it is in perspective of the doc. There are different death animations that would be cool to see his reaction. Another great video game to react to is tomb raider trilogy, it is notoriously famous for all the different deaths the main character (Lara Croft) can have

Don't some bullets break apart upon impact/entering the body? Definitely no need for the teeth treatment.

This has to be one of my favorite reactions. It’s so funny to see a doctor grossed out over these games, but it’s interesting to learn about the details of these kinds of injuries.

Far Cry 2 had a system where your character came down with malaria and had to take meds on a regular basis to stay alive. I think that animation you looked at was from Far Cry 1 where the developers got away with showing your character taking pills. I've put plenty of hours into the latest offerings in the franchise, and aside from making your own syringes from herbs or taking copious amounts of hallucinogens in Far Cry 4 or being forced to partake in "Bliss" in Far Cry 5 (Best of the franchise in my opinion), there hasn't been any animations of the player popping pills like that since Far Cry 2. I think the legal department started getting nervous and told them to cut it out.
what? both far cry new dawn and 6 also have healing animations where you take pills.
@@lionn00b this
Far cry 1 does not have healing animations u heal from a damn medkit🤬🤬🤬,i could never find em when i needed them
ive only seen the pills animations on vehicles where it's not very prudent of the player character to be doing all those other animations while you're barreling down the road. so maybe you just never healed in a vehicle. honest mistake.

6:50 I dislocated my finger in real life in a very similar way, was my ring finger not my middle one. I love Farcry and that animation is what gave me the idea to just pop it back into place, worked like a charm. Of course I still went to the hospital and got a splint for it after, swollen and bruised pretty badly
In gym class our teacher would tell us not to do this because we could do it wrong. She always told the story of the kid who got a blood clot because a teacher did it wrong.
But did it hurt? Like a lot ?

stab wounds, bullets lodged in the body are very painful when you just see the way they heal. but what brought me to tears the most was when the broken bones and joints shifted even the treatment process also made me very sore.😫😵
The animation that plays when you heal actually depends on what you took damage from. Hit by shrapnel from an explosion -> pull out the shrapnel. Hit by a bullet -> pull out the bullet or apply a dressing. Hurt by poison -> take pills or drink water. And so on. I noticed this in Far Cry 6, I'm not sure if it's similar in the others.
It's similar in others. Far Cry 2 you'll usually be pulling bullets out but stuff like fall damage or explosions (I believe) has you popping bones back in
the drinking water is so realistic to real life, if you're feeling bad you'll drink water. not that it will work though
Far cry 3 has a couple unique animations but not all of them are unique lol
@@Dachios The bones are just fall damage you pull shrapnel out for explosives
(Gets bit by shark in arm) “AHH! My hand, it’s broken!”
Ive always been curious. I know your golden rule is "Never remove impaled objects" no argument there, but could you do a video of what happens in the ER/OR for how that object does get properly removed?
that would be indeed very interesting. not even during first aid training we were told how it all works.
An arrow would have to be removed the other way, so it would go all the way through. Otherwise the backwards points on the arrow head would make the wound twice as big.
@@SmartassX1 Any idea about the rebar in the stomach? Just pull it out the same way it went in?
@@copium80 Definitely. It's evenly shaped so there's no difference. If it doesn't already stick out of the back then there should be no question. If most of it has come out of the patience back then it's just easier to remove it that way. Another thing to be concerned of with a thing like that is dirt and rust. So if it does have to be removed the other way, it better be reasonably cleaned first.
But the most important thing: Leave it in until medical professionals are present and have decided what to do. For all you know, it could be blocking some important artery, or something and the patient could bleed to death if it's removed on the spot.
@@SmartassX1 Thank you for the reply! Always fun to learn something new and interesting. I wasn't sure how rebar would work since it has like little grooves in it. I think there was a story of a guy who fell off a ladder with a power drill and it went through his skull and they just twisted it back out of his skull.
I loved this video. It was awesome to see your reaction. And u gave sm very valuable info too. Thank you. 😊
Man, seeing the Sum 41 album cover at 3:23 takes me back. “Does This Look Infected” has some of my favourite songs from when I was a kid on it. Props to the editing team or whoever loves Sum 41 back there! Plus, couldn’t have been used at a better time, talking about infection possibilities. Great video as well, super informative and fun!
Definitely not expecting Sum 41 here lmao.
@@NaroOwO same lol
Interesting to note is as your body heals if you have a small foreign body, your body will actually slowly push it out. There was a story of an elderly ww2 veteran who had shrapnel lodged in his jaw that caused him severe pain for decades before coming out in his mouth while he was eating breakfast.
Even more amazing is a story of a guy who had a clamp left inside him and his body created a sack out of tissue inside his abdomen to contain the foreign body.
Human biology is absolutely amazing. If I might go on a tangent about toxicology. Your bodies adaptive immune system, given enough time and supportive care can create antibodies to cure literally anything that doesn’t destroy it.

I love these reactions from Dr. Wagner. He gets soo into them and enjoys them from a medical/learning standpoint and also seems to enjoy them from the shear creativity or visuals the games have on display. It's like a gamer mentality merged with a professional educators mentality and I absolutely cannot get enough of it. Keep up the awesome and entertaining content.
I swear every time I play farcry I can feel the pain on the healing animations
Except the 5th, it just syringes

Syringes hurt. But only a teeny bit.
I just feel the crunch
I've learned that bullets can ricochet off your bones causing damage to more than one place. I read about a man who sustained a bullet to the kneecap and in the blink of an eye, it ended up in the palm of his left hand. There was also the cause of the only prisoner to die escaping Castle Colditz in which a Wehrmacht soldier shot Michael Sinclair's elbow, but this unlucky angle and position caused the bullet to deflect right into his heart.

The Far Cry 2 animation with a nail is one of the ones that play when you take critical damage from an IED. Same with the rebar.
However, for some reason, the IED damage animations will also play if you take damage from drowning, so you can stand face down in shallow water and rip shrapnel out of your body for fun.
Also the pills he took were Anti-Malarial. The plot of Far Cry 2 starts with the player contracting Malaria.
Ah yes my deadly africanized water!
@@Nitro_Blitzen lest we forget that legendary video
Don't forget the 'getting so mad you almost drowned that you reach in your mouth and _rip out a tooth.'_
@@Rowcan "This tooth is obstructing my breathing."
Those pills were from Far Cry 6, the ones in 2 are little white pills in an orange bottle, and also significantly more polygonal. Plus, you only took them in 2 when you had the malaria screen effect, not as a healing animation.
"Does it hurt? Yes! but it feels somuchbetteronceit'sbackin."

7:23 I was in the Navy for 4 years. We had this running joke about our HM's (Corpsmen) where we would go to see them for any injury and they would tell us that the best thing you can do to relieve it is to "change your socks." Yeah it sounds dumb but when you're getting people coming to visit you for every minor injury, this becomes the standard reaction.
That's standard issue. Extra points if they say drink water or they give you motrin.
I was watching video game walkthroughs of Injustice 2, and maybe you could do a medical reaction of some Supermoves. Examples: Batman's Supermove, Cheetah's Supermove, Green Arrow's Supermove, Black Canary's Supermove

Interesting to hear a medical perspective on wound types and treatments in games. Cool content! 👌
So, not necessarily ER related, but I ended up having to do a Farycry fix on myself years ago at work. I was doing demolition and a chunk of tile from the wall I was tearing down fell and slashed my wrist open. I didn't even notice until blood spurted out. I clamped my wrist and went to our site office, only to discover that our first aid kit had nothing but bandaids in it, so my and another guy improvised a bandage with a shirt sleeve and duct tape, then I got to drive myself to the hospital for superglue and staples. The duct tape bandage worked surprisingly well!
And that’s why you always keep first aid on the site
Dr. Wagner, thank you for covering the other Far Cry healing animations! I wanted a doctor's take on the gnarly methods for a while. Great content!
I think they’re supposed to be dislocated rather than broken bones, hence how he’s able to reset it back into place and use it again (albeit probably should be a lot more swelling and pain afterwards)
I love that he respects the fact that it's just a game...
This is INTENSE yet soooooo informative, great reaction per usual doc … keep up the good work 😉
Thank you! Glad you found this Far Cry reaction educational!
Your reaction at the opening of this video is so right, Doctor Ed. Steps to cure arms and elbows that are bent downwards by straightening and correcting the position of the arm bone joints like that are just a fantasy. If someone pull it arm like that, the risk is that if we do it wrong, the joint will misslocations and have fatal consequences. Moreover, never mind pulling it like that, just touching it or lifting a slightly bent arm like that really hurts.
Dr Wagner I worked with you at SCVMC about 6-7 years ago. You a great doctor and seems like you a great RUclips content creator too! Glad to see your channel growing! Keep it up doc 👊

02:07 to answer this question. I worked in a nursery and we used nails as stitches too close burlap sacks around the root balls of plants and trees.. This actually happened to me once, Hurt like hell and bleed for 3 days till the puncture wound closed enough to stop bleeding.. Thankfully it did not get infected.. But this dose happen a lot in nurseries .. Exp when its raining out and your rushing to get a new sack put on the tree or plant for a customer.
Omg, I had to reread the first bit of your comment because in my mind, due to my life experiences, "nursery" automatically refers to a place that cares for children.
