Michael Mando and Vaas is one of the most perfect castings ever. He made such an impact not just for the franchise but for all of gaming I would argue. All while having less than 20 minutes of screen time and not even really being the "main villain" of his own game. Powerful.

It's phenomenal and beautiful how articulate and emotional he is while portraying, explaining and "defending" Vaas as a character. It's a moment of pure beauty. EDIT: Vaas was so much more complex and deep than all of us actually ever imagined. And it's beautiful seeing Michael put into words just how complex the character of Vaas is, and his understanding of that complexity.
to be honest i wish there was a remake of farcry 3, i loved everything in it, the maps, the grind to 100 percent with the relics, the towers and liberaries to conquer, the animals to skin for better leveled equipment the special weapons. and the co op mode that is different from the regular campaign, playing it with my brother on split screen. just everything....besides the graphics and fps. the reason why i want a remake is for the farcry engine and gameplay/story to look more like farcry 6, detail and graphics wise.
I kinda wish Jason and Vaas become best friends. Both killed each others siblings but in a way they grow from it. Plus I REALLY dig their batman and Joker relationship
Michael Mando is so thoughtful and passionate when talking about Vaas. You can tell how much the character means to him and why he's so perfect in the role. He created the character himself
Michael Mando is the type of guy you can only recognize for one thing. Even after all this year, his persona of Vaas is as fresh as he was the first time I heard of him
Vaas was one of the best game (and even movie) villains ever. Such a multifaceted character: a violent, unmerciful tropical island pirate exempt from any laws, but also a knowledgeable, communicative villain with very valid social criticisms. All in all, a beautifully designed, written and portrayed villain who singlehandedly saved the franchise and changed gaming forever. Thanks Michael, keep rocking it.
It would be so awesome if you guys did a Pagan and Joseph interview with their voice actors too! I would love to see the evolution behind it all for the other two villians too.
You just cannot not admire the work of this guy. I love how such a crazy character is described in such an eloquent and descriptive way. Michael Mando is a legend.
Judging from what Michael said it seems Vaas is actually the good guy. He never intended to hurt anyone but the influence of drugs and other stuff have caused him to be a split person.
I don't think he means that Vaas is a good guy. He is somewhat of an anomaly, a person who is trapped in an infinite childhood. Children don't understand death and pain as adults do, so Vaas is kind of a pityable character but not good or safe to be around.
Its really amazing the fact that Vaas is back hes a iconic and cool villain, Michael Mando is a great and awesome actor and gave Life to the character!
When he talks about coming back to reprise role that's exactly how Michael C Hall described coming back as Dexter Morgan his words were it's almost like his character Dexter Morgan was always there he never left. Same with Micheal in terms of Vaas

@@HaloProductionsUSA if only you knew of the Far Cry 3 web series...
@@ak_nora trust me I’ve seen it. I’m talking a full length film
Michael Mando and Vaas is one of the most perfect castings ever. He made such an impact not just for the franchise but for all of gaming I would argue. All while having less than 20 minutes of screen time and not even really being the "main villain" of his own game. Powerful.
It feels so weird to see Michael Mando again after all these years. Such a amazing guy!
I mean he didn't disappear lol, he's great in Better Call Saul
The man who made me follow Far Cry series, not a single title that i hadn't play!
Ubisoft tried so hard to overcome vaas as a villain in any way .... Never happened .... Vaas is still my profile Picture in Steam after all these years .... and i never get tired of this acting .... from pronounciation to his art of mind .... Mando did something beautiful .... and i'm happy he still gets spoken to as 'Vaas'. Respect to you and Ubisoft for bringing him back even if it is just a little DLC.
Love this dude. Super underrated actor. Far cry wouldn’t be where it is today without his character in Far cry 3.
this is crazy, he is actually charming and scary
He's just a very awesome actor and probably a very good man. i hope we will see him some serious roles in the future.
Better Call Saul not serious enough for you?
@@RayzaNC yes its enough serious for me, but its not enough, he need more role like that. Like you mean scareface was enough for Pachino, nope. i think you was happy to saw him in a lots of serious role.
Michael is so talented, Nacho has always been my favorite on Saul. I've never played Far Cry 3 before either, sounds like I'm in for a treat. God bless
Trevor would of lost against this Vaas because vaas has completely lost touch with reality while Trevor is completely broken he still has a heart and even Trevor would be scared of vaas
@@jonathanoxlade4252 who is trevor
Ghosh you are so lucky , you not played far cry 3 yet 😢
Far Cry existed before Mando, but he, with Vaas's character, created the franchise's identity. Mad respect for this legend
Michael Mando plays Vaas so perfectly, the feeling of talking to a person that was somewhat oddly calm to literally mentally insane. Such great work, props to him
Vaas is honestly my favorite villain in the Far Cry series. Every scene with him made me genuinely terrified. He wasn't a ruler of a country or a state. He never showed mercy to Jason. He just had that aura constantly screaming "I will kill you and bathe in your blood." And huge props to Michael Mando, you don't get an actor like *that* every day
That's what I was thinking
I haven’t played far cry 3 since it came out. Those clips of it look gorgeous, like AA in overdrive. Did Ubisoft remaster or up the anti for the clips shown here or is this new DLC parts of FC3 remastered for flash backs?
New DLC dives completely into the Vaas and Citra relationship and what really led to how they both turned out. Vaas is also confirmed alive
@@jaybarbieri8619 Confirmed alive? As in he survived FC3? Does this mean he can come back in a future game?
@@starkiller007 Yep. If you beat the DLC 5 times over then you get a cutscene of an older Vaas sitting on a beach talking to himself
The clips you saw come from the classic edition of far cry 3, they remastered the game some time ago
If you get farcry5 there’s a dlc that remasters Farcry3
This man is a legend in the video game community. Farcry wouldn't be the same without him. Gaming wouldn't be the same without him. And honestly, the online community in general wouldn't be the same without him
Thank you Michael Mando, for showing love to those kids who needed you. When you could have of just moved on like you didn't have the time.
Michael Mando is a legend. You should work together with him again recreating Far Cry 3
Thank you for wonderful experience and emotions
Thank you Michael Mando for this incredible acting. Great work, great game. The best.
He’s literally Farcry. I love this guy. I love Vaas.
If I had the chance to obtain acting lessons from Michael I absolutely would. He is incredibly talented and an inspiration.
Vaas is one of the greatest antagonists in gaming history.
Kudos to you, Michael Mando.
Vaas and Handsome Jack are my 2 favorite videogame antagonists, I doubt anyone will ever pass them.
@@abigbutterstick1780 Yoo vass and handsome jack are my favorite too. The way their characters act in different ways and execute it perfectly
Perfect actor.... what a performance... nice reflectory responses.
Michael is an absolute treasure. I have never rooted for a villain so hard before Vaas.
Let's get a Vaas spin-off ...a story on how he became the villain that he is today !!
I mean...that's more or less the Vaas insanity DLC. It was definitely something😄!
@@Kageravager I just love Vaas one of my favorites ...give me more lol 😆
@@UNIKOGAMING oohh, just be prepared for that DLC. It's definitely a bit of a struggle! Can't wait to see the direction they take Pagan and Joseph!
Better Call Vaas
@@UNIKOGAMING ⚠️Spoilers⚠️:
Now that we know he's still alive he could have a long insane future ahead.
Been loving him in better call Saul it’s great seeing him playing his most iconic character
Imagine Vaas becomes our new ally for Far cry 7
He's dead
@@emulation2369 He's alive
There was vaas dialogue at the end of fc6 so maybe he could return?
@@thehardycarrot9361 yeah there's also a secret cut scene including Vaas
I kinda wish Jason and Vaas become best friends. Both killed each others siblings but in a way they grow from it. Plus I REALLY dig their batman and Joker relationship
Michael Mando is so thoughtful and passionate when talking about Vaas. You can tell how much the character means to him and why he's so perfect in the role. He created the character himself
I love with what kind of love and interest he talking about his character. He really love Vaas, you can see it.
Michael Mando is such a talent, the man deserves an Oscar and a Grammy and a Tony, an Emmy, a country music award and a Super Bowl MVP.
Ubisoft PLEASE make a spin-off game with Vaas as protagonist. PLEASE
@Dominatroy I’m talking a full spin off like new dawn bro!
@@GormLore about what? Him kidnapping tourists and executing innocent people?.... Mmm oookay....
@@emulation2369 actually yeah that sounds super fun dummy
Michael Mando is the type of guy you can only recognize for one thing. Even after all this year, his persona of Vaas is as fresh as he was the first time I heard of him
Awww, Michael Mando is so precious, dude!!! Give him more good movies, games and shows to played in
When the videogame Oscars are going to be a real thing, this man will win for sure one
Giancarlo Esposito: Ahahahaha I was acting..... Or Was I?
Michael Mando: Have I ever told you what the definition of insanity is? Have I?
From the streets of ABQ to Rook Island
He is so well spoken to , it was a pure joy listening to this interview.
One of the best Interviews I ever seen
It would be so awesome if you guys did a Pagan and Joseph interview with their voice actors too! I would love to see the evolution behind it all for the other two villians too.
You just cannot not admire the work of this guy.
I love how such a crazy character is described in such an eloquent and descriptive way. Michael Mando is a legend.
Absolutely a legend🔥
Judging from what Michael said it seems Vaas is actually the good guy. He never intended to hurt anyone but the influence of drugs and other stuff have caused him to be a split person.
I don't think he means that Vaas is a good guy. He is somewhat of an anomaly, a person who is trapped in an infinite childhood. Children don't understand death and pain as adults do, so Vaas is kind of a pityable character but not good or safe to be around.
I really like this guy. He always seems to get seriously involved in his characters.
Its really amazing the fact that Vaas is back hes a iconic and cool villain, Michael Mando is a great and awesome actor and gave Life to the character!
I hope the next two villains will have an interview like this.
Pagan if I'm not mistaken was Troy Baker
My entry point into Far Cry. I'm glad he's back and I'm very glad that everyone seems to be enjoying this.
Im a big fan of this guy and his portrayal of vaas is amazing I’m so happy he gets to play scorpion in the MCU
a living legend! thank you !
Far cry 3 was one of the best, that tropical island setting was such a vibe, and even more so during the summer, I felt like I was on vacation
When he talks about coming back to reprise role that's exactly how Michael C Hall described coming back as Dexter Morgan his words were it's almost like his character Dexter Morgan was always there he never left. Same with Micheal in terms of Vaas
One of the BEST VIDEO GAMES VILLAIN of all time ! You always get scared of meeting him and he’s so mesmerizing whenever he’s on screen.
I just love seeing this guy as vaas again, it just makes me wanna go back to far cry 3!
Brilliant actor! He deserves to be better known by everybody
BCS S6 E3 brought me here 😢
VAAS.. you are one in many but best to use name.. insanity.. that you deserve it all... thank you so much for Far cry 3
Da um arrepio na alma só de ouvir a voz dessa lenda ❤️
gado
Damn, three games later and even Ubisoft knows Michael Mando was both the representative of Far Cry at its peak, and the one antagonist most will remember.
honestly the performance in Far cry 3 and also Better call saul is phenomenal he deserves more Roles in Movies n Shows and a ton more recognition for sure.
“Underneath it all, he is a human, and before it all, he is a child. Once you find the child, you find the character.” That’s one hell of a philosophical quote. Now I see where Vaas got his sick and twisted, but thought provoking Philosophies.
