“Buy one plant get 6 free” [Home depot been real quiet since] 😂
Started out with four and now I just can't stop buying them...... everytime I see them sitting all sad in a grocery I just have to get them and they're usually already named by the time I'm in the car😆
This is a story we are all very familiar with ;)
Naming them Awww....so cute
Same happened with me. I am so obsessed with succulents now
I named one of my haworthias plasticy
You just described my life XD
i like that you protected the spider and told us how useful they are to protecting the plant.
Yes! They are so helpful!
I love ALL of your videos! I am a succulent "newbie" and must say I'm learning quite a bit from you. It is a very addicting hobby, but I love it! Please do more of the removing offsets in the future :)
Thanks Susan!! It's sooo addicting!

Another removing offsets video! Just in case you missed it :) ruclips.net/video/JX8VBzYowvw/видео.html
In my opinion, it is good if we can change the soil during first repotting, after buying it from supermarkets. I found that the soil they use is not suitable for long term.
Nice collection you have there! Hello from Malaysia! ❤️
Yes, you are right!
i love the way you handled the echeveria Lola. So nicely took away the pumice, then dug up the plant, then separated the pup. Everything done carefully slowly and lovingly. So nice really.
Thank you Christina!
This tutorial was so helpful. I like that you zoom in so we can see up close how to properly do it. Thank you for that!
Thank you AZPam! 😘
This is the first video I've seen of yours and I LOVE YOUR VIBE! I can't wait to watch more of your videos! Thanks for putting out this great content :D
Thank you!!! :D
I love how you have such a calm energy, I'm in southwest florida my mom just moved to Arizona, and we've always been so close. At 20 you think your ready for anything but with her being so far for the first time I suddenly realized I didn't know as much as I thought; she left me her plants, and when I stated missing her I took therapy in the plants! Recently have been adding to a growing succulent collection and trying to propagate my first batch of 10 leaves, I wake up everyday and check to see if they have roots! I also grab my computer and sit outside watching your videos! Love the way you talk about the plants and also filming style! It's nice to listen while I'm playing/moving around my "lil baby" succulents. Being in Florida's 70% humidity has been a learning curve for me with these plants! Thank you for all of your knowledge & also comfort during this crazy transitional time!
Hi Sky! This is all so sweet...and yep, many of us find great solace in our plants/gardens. I laughed when you said you check for roots everyday... don't you know a watched prop never grows? ;) Or it seems soooo slow... we've all been there! The secret is to have a lot of plants to distract you in the meantime :D
I'm in the same humidity boat... two fans on the porch to keep the air moving seems to do the trick. I listen to a lot of podcasts and free audiobooks while I work - mostly classics and it's lovely having someone read to me while being able to play in the dirt ;) Thank you for watching and dropping me this lovely note. I'm easy to catch on Instagram @sucsforyou if you have any questions AND you can come join our group if you'd like! A lot of people from Houston and similar climates to yours....I'll show you some other groups with great helpful people too - facebook.com/groups/sucsforyou/
Yesss! You're the best I followed the fb groups and beautiful insta! Fans on the porch is a great idea, I've got one and never thought about turning it on for the succulents! Thanks for the feedback
Welcome welcome!!

I got into beauty shopping as therapy but have always loved gardening I think before even birth! Lol! Now I been collecting different cacti and they are slow but some grow faster. Appreciate this video as I been transplanting many soon will have a cacti jungle in my patio. Have grown a few beautiful hibiscus also! Beauty (makeup) and gardening I love colors! Happy gardening it is very therapeutic, also a nice long walk/run. I live in S. California near Venice beach/Santa Monica.
Thank-You for posting this! I am one month into my succulent journey, and I am so excited!! I am currently trying to figure out the best way to re-pot my babies; together, separately, next size up in pots or just go super large 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ I'm wanting to learn!! (Im also from Texas, Conroe area- but living in Florida)
Thank you for sharing on how to do the cutting of offsets ang repoting it ...
Beautiful succulents you have. Thanks for sharing this with us
I just love this Echeveria. The shape of the leaves is beautiful. So perfect. Thanks.
All of your plants are looking so happy and healthy :) Love the Rose quarts - I collect crystals and succulents - they go together so nicely
Hey Michael! Thanks! I am glad I've kept up with my rocks for so many years - they do pair nicely with our plants!

Beautiful plants. Love to watch such videos during quarantine time. Stay home stay safe.
Thank you! You too!!
I'm new to succulent's to and LOVE IT SO MUCH but sadly where i live u can only grow certain ones.
I love your videos, I am inspired to create my own succulent garden. I am more confident now of how to handle my over brown succulents... Thank you...And keep posting g new ideas
Thank you! Happy gardening!!
I WAS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS, I bought my first succulent and it turned out it had 2 little babas attached
How’d you get that Lola to grow that many leaves ? It looks cool to me . I may have asked already, but what kinda grow light do you use ? It actually looks like you’re near an east facing window around 6 pm in summer 😊
I had a west facing screened porch :) I had to turn her a LOT! The plant was a few years old and I never topped it so it just kept stacking up leaves lol! And I use the 6 bulb T5s here but I only have 2 bulbs on most of the time so you can get the 4 bulb and it should be plenty! amzn.to/2ZnL6dM
I am repotting a tiny overgrown succulent and have 21 small offshoots. I only realized I had so many because a buried centipede startled me into dropping it!
Watching this now to see what to do do and you encountered a spider too!
Enjoyed, liked and subscribed! Succulents are my new love. Thank you!
😘 Thank you Deb!
My favorite hwawortia zebra. Nice vlog .happiness in leaf 🍃 vlog
😗😚😘very sweet thanks for not killing the spider ....i dont like killing insects it makes me sad ... Now sing itsy bitsy spider went up tha water spout lol
I'm not sure but if that is a owl hooting in the background or not but I find it very relaxing
It's a dove :)
Ive just started my succulent journey this last year and am loving it. You have to read and learn so much. Thank you for your advice. These take a lot of patients and care.
About to repot a succulent trio brought back from IKEA and the firecracker has shot out a pup, so this was super helpful, thank you! Xx
Awesome! I got a Haworthia from IKEA 5 years ago and it's still really happy!
@@SucsForYou can I just leave the babies on the plant I'm lazy😔
@@tonitone1160 Absolutely lol!
For how long do you leave the pups to dry before planting them?
About a week :)
How much are grow lights? I just got my 9 succulents (most of them are pups) transplanted and I want to make sure they have the best chance of survival.
You could probably use a grow bulb if you only need a small area lit - www.amazon.com/shop/sucsforyou
Can this plant be propagated by leaves???
Do you mean the first one - Haworthia? Yes - but it's tricky to get the leaves off right
I love your videos! I’m learning a lot. Once the echo Echeveria babies are removed....how long should it sit out to callous? And then when you pot in fresh succulent soil...do you water right away?
Please watch my newest video - it's linked in the video description 🙏
My zebra plant made pups that's still with the mom plant(?) It didn't grow from the base of the mom plant, but within it's leaves. How do I separate the babies?
I'd give them more time - they should start pushing out roots
Quick question, can you skip the drying step if the stems of the pups have roots on them?
If water/bacteria enters a cut, it can cause rot. Even if it already has some roots...
@@SucsForYou Thanks!
This has been very helpful for me today! Also, are those diamond doves I hear in the background?
I'm glad it helped! And I'm pretty sure they're white-winged doves :)
I got a giant Echeveria from IKEA a couple of days back and there are 4 big pups shooting out, which I'm going to separate and repot. This is very helpful, so thank you!
Can you show me how to separate a rooster from a hen??? I don't even know what that means entirely lpl I'm learning. Lol
Nevermind you covered it
Hello thankyou I just like your channel and sub. How many days to wait when pups and leaves are separated before planting? How often do you water?
However long it takes for the cuttings to dry and heal... here's a more recent video with more information - ruclips.net/video/e-mzR6vI2KI/видео.html
Ma'am plz make a video on how to propagate it
I got some succulents yesterday (all of them appear to be a part of the crassulaceae family) and my crassula perforata has a baby growing on one of the middle leaves, how do i remove it to grow it?
If I understand correctly, that's how they grow.
I absolutely love your Lola specimen! It's so healthy and pretty
It's stretched out
Prasenjeet Saha actually, that is just how the plant grows! You can tell that a plant is etiolated if it’s leaves have a lot of space between them, which Lolas do not. Look up pictures on google, and you’ll see :)
🌱🌱🌱😃😃😃👍👍👍
I'm new to gardening.. the pup came off without any roots.. will it propogate?
Yes, it grows new roots
Very helpful video!!! At 8:00 in the video, I was wondering if you would let that piece develop roots before putting in a pot, or do you just put it right in the pot? Thanks!
Do you have any recommendations on where to buy succulents in Houston? Ive been to several nurseries with no luck. I typically just go to lowes/home depot
I
Kmbb
Fred Reyes Nursery in Simonton is succulent heaven!
lauren gheorghe that sucks Home Depot doesnt got the goods at least in San Diego.
lauren gheorghe they have some now at heb and walmart i just got some this past week (;
I have a zebra baby and will save this for future propagating. I’m in zone 9B CA. Your Lola is so pretty
Great information. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Hi I am watching your RUclips video separating Baby echeveria. I am looking for an echeveria pinky, would you know where I might find one?
Do you mean this? mountaincrestgardens.com/echeveria-pinky?aff=5 - if so, you can sign up for an email notification for when they're back in stock :)
OR did you mean this? www.etsy.com/listing/827292968/echeveria-trumpet-pinky?ref=shop_home_active_52&crt=1
I just got into succs bout a month ago...i figured if i could make babies from them then i could probably grow them. So far so good got a couple that have hairs and little growths...from Houston also! Alief
Propagation- nation! And hello from HTOWN! I hope your babies grow nice and strong - it's a bit more challenging here w/ our heat and humidity but just think... their babies will be little hulks!
What if the offshoot is in the middle of the main rosette and not at the bottom? How would you transplant and would you have to dig up the whole echiveria?
That tends to be a flower, not an offset... look up terminal flowers in Echeverias :)
Can I ask about how long did it take for the succulents to grow offshoots that big? Particularly with the Echeveria Lola. Maybe I'm just really impatient, but I just feel that if there are offshoots that's a sign I'm not killing my plant. Thanks!
It was a fairly mature plant so well over a year old. You can remove some of the lowest leaves to encourage babies :)
Why do you avoid touching leaves?
It mostly for looks- a lot of succulents have a natural 'powdery' coating called farina that gives it a very surreal look and enhances the colors. It's like a matte finish. Farina is essentially a wax and repels water while helping protect the leaves from bright sun :)
I've seen some new leaves coming out of my haworthia, but I dont know if I should remove them as in separate them or not. I mean what's the criteria, why not let them all grow together?
You can leave them together or separate them to make more room in the pot or give some away :)
Hi Andrea! Eds here from @TerraPod in Instagram. That Lola looks really great!
Hey there!! Fancy running into you here :D
Hello, I wanted to ask, because I did not find a result. You managed to grow something from the second echeveria, light green. Where did you cut off either a flower or a baby. What has grown? Or was it dead?
It was a baby :) Not all Echeverias produce offsets like that but E. prolifica does!
@@SucsForYou Thank you very much))
Great video, very informative and fun to watch....thanks for sharing.
Hi sexy
Im so GLAD u saved the little spider......! Enjoyed ur show. Just discovered u!!....u seem very sweet...me too TEXAS cept far West!! I learned smt new ...yea! I saved a spider today was late 4 WORK..got in trouble.....i would do it again.....pooi organic garden ..leave our delicate eco-dysems3 alone....lots critters out here TOO!! Karen fr WTexas
Hi, great video, quick question, when taking off pups or sproutlings (hahaha) to replant, you let them sit out to calice over, but how about the parent plant. In addition, for aloes, does this also apply to both pups and parent plant. With regards to jade plants, you let the leaves dry out and supposedly put then on top of wet soil and water once till they root, is this true? I have a jade that I got from walmart. Was about 2" tall, now it's about a foot tall and want to grow more from the leaves. Any suggestions would be appreciated
Always let anything that has been cut or compromised callous before introducing water, damp soil, or any soil for that matter, to reduce fungal/bacterial infection ;)
Very much appreciate the response, I can't wait to start all this :)
Love this one... I watched this one when I took my baby haworthias out. So helpful.
Holy crap! your Lola is GORGEOUS!!!
This is a really helpful video! 🙏😊I received some free succulents from my sister-in-law today and there are pups on some of them. 😁😊I didn't know how to go about it until I saw this video! Thank you so much!
Awesome!! Thanks for letting me know it helped ;) And those are my favorite type of sucs...free! :D
Sucs For You! I know, right!!! 😄😁😃 I'm driving 128 miles right now to get some more! Also free! Well, technically not, 'cause I'm spending for gas, but I'm pretty sure I'm going home with a ton of them. I need them for my new home. 😆😆😆😍😍😍 I'm making my backyard an exclusive to succs backyard...at least, around my patio in the back! 😊😊😊 sorry, comment got soooo long...can't stop raving over succs! 😊😁
HA!! Now that's commitment :) Come show us what you got in the group soon! facebook.com/groups/sucsforyou/
Sucs For You! Thank you so much! I'm on my way home now. I didn't get a lot. I was too shy to take as much as I wanted. I'll have to buy more. 🤣😁
Oh I meant to ask you if you've ever heard of the succulent source? If not look them up I've ordered from them and I first got 7 cuttings to see how they'd act and they were only. 90 cents each and all of them have taken off with roots!
That's great to hear! I've heard of them!
Do you have a video showing how you remove the babies on a cobweb succulent?
No but it will be similar to the Haworthia in this video!
The Lola is extraordinary! Never see them here. Do you know where to order them?
I would try Etsy!
Thanks so much I have two babies coming underneath my succulent and I had no idea what to do!!!!! You saved my plants YAY thanks
YAY!! Glad to help!!!
This video was very helpful! I've got a new succulent mom that is growing a baby and got a bit worried but now I know what to do
Awesome!! Good luck!
Hi hello I’m new subscribers watching from California good propagation tips thanks for sharing stay safe plants are so beautiful
Thanks and welcome!!
Thank you for the great video. If I separate a pup that has roots on it, is it safe for roots to dry and be exposed to light? I'm worried!
Thank you! It's safe for them to be dry but protect from too much light until it's dry enough to be repotted.
Sucs For You! Thank you for the reassurance!
You're welcome!! ;)
I have recently found your channel. I love about 1hr away north from Houston. I’m a total newbie so I’m excited to learn. I’m very impatient so I check them everyday, but I’m learning this hobby takes time.🌵
Great video and such a beautiful succulent Andrea! I have an Echeveria Lola and I can't wait till she gets that big lol Thank you so much for sharing!
Gracias Stacey!
I totally got over excited with zebra pups and plucked them off too early, lol. I think it had only been a month and a half or maybe two months since I first saw them. When do you know it's the right time for them?
You can (and should probably) leave them until they have roots of their own ;) Just safer that way!
@@SucsForYou mine has roots and I tried to air dry it but after a day, it looks like it is about to die :( so I plant it. Is that okay?
What do normally do with the flower stalks on the echeverias? Can you propagate them?
You can try to propagate the leaves along the stem - I don't believe the stems will propagate a new plant though but that doesn't mean you should try :)
How do you propagate Flap Jack Newcastle AU
Offsets/stem babies 🙏
Thank you! I have an echeveria that I saved from my wedding bouquet. It's been growing strong and healthy for 3 years and I've propagated a few leaves into new baby plants but only a few survived. This summer though, the mother plant decided to grow about 6 or more baby offshoots between the leaves! I wasn't sure how to separate them from the mother, so this video helped. Unfortunately about 80% of the mother plant seems to have died....it has a nice rosette of leaves at the top, but all the leaves below that are squishy and shriveled. I think I let the babies grow too long from mother....they're actually quite large and most have touched the soil because of their weight, they all have nice full rosettes and the tips of the leaves are a lovely blue/purple color. I'm going to separate the babies to grow on their own, and do what I can to remove dead leaves from the mother while leaving that nice rosette on top and see how it goes.
i just bought sedum, which came in a plastic grid. Do I remove each plant, or do I plant the entire grid, intact?
I really can't say without knowing what the grid is... but do your best to keep them clumped together since many varieties can be pretty picky about being separated.
Wonderful video, thank you very much, I love your channel
Thank you!
If you wet the roots you can better see which roots belong to what plant and then you can have more roots when you replant without cutting any roots.
Nice tip!
I love your videos, so much good information. I just started with succulents and I'm so glad I found your videos because they were sure to meet a quick demise with my over watering. I pulled them all out of the wet soil and I'm mixing some new soil for them now. I just bought them from Home Depot last week.
I live in Tampa, FL and the days are already up to between 85 and 95 degrees. We haven't had much rain yet, our rainy season is usually mid to late summer. My question is, can I put these succulents and cacti in the morning sun or do you think it's too intense and will burn them? I currently have them on my screened lanai where they only get indirect light, no direct rays and I'm concerned they won't get enough light.
I was going to attach pictures but there's not an option here in the comments section.
que amor essas suculentas , linda por demais bjs
How do you get the rosettes to be like that???? Wow!
Good light!
I'm a fresh succulent mummy, I've got a few succulent babies and I'd like to separate them. How long should I leave them to dry/callous over?
You should check the cut ends and wait until they're callused over - no green, no sign of moisture
@@SucsForYou Thank you!
Great demo - thank you for sharing. I am on my second rendition of my first suc garden. Have lots of babies to take care of soon so this is timely.
Happy to help!! Enjoy your babies :)
One of my succulents had pups growing between the leaves going up the stem. I have no idea what to do! I just saw it today, so this video was my first stop trying to figure it out 😬
Thanks for the very helpful tutorial! Also, I love how you choose to keep the spider on the plant to keep away pests. I found a spider on my succulent, freaked out, and just killed it XD.
Just saw you're in Houston. You okay with fallout from Harvey?
I'm okay but we're still reeling from it - my home and fam are safe
Great information tnx alot 😍😍

LOL! I had to look that up - NO idea :D

I like them as bunch also
Maybe a silly question, but with the plain terms, could you scB that over and plant it?
Leave it scab
Yes :)

I love that you so soft with your plant.. Someone never care for its.
I've lost so many of these not knowing what to do with them & bought a chick n' been over the summer with a bunch of babies, going the babies would just spread in my new pot, but they've not come away from the Mama very much?? I did not cut them away yet, so they're still just growing from underneath. It's getting to be fall, so I guess I'll cut them away??
I'm very appreciative of your videos!!
When cutting them back do you always have to take the hole plant out if the dirt?
Yes u do, at least to get the establisbing root system ...but they do regrow roots so technically...no. But chances are u will damage them more.
It's so cool to see other succulent moms from Houston 🌱💕

Super helpful and useful. Subscribed :)
Thanks, great info.
So the only way to grow more is to dry them out and then re pot them. You can just take the babies than repot? I just bought my first 2 succulents today and I’m a little confused
There are several ways to propagate and this is one of them :)
Loved this (I'm a beginner l
